(Flashback to how it all started)

Gretta Anderson dialled Nathan’s number and he connected it. “Nathan,if you don’t come right now, I will tell my father everything that you did. We need to talk instead of you being there and blaming me for something that I did not do!”

“Are you saying that you will watch me go to jail?”.

“Why not?”. She disconnected the line and fumed to herself.

She wrote in her secret book all that had happened. How Nathan had thought that he was not the father of the child and killed his child, how her best friend had framed her. She rushed into her office and hid the book in the shelf.

She walked back to the balcony of the company and placed a secret recorder on the wall. “If this camera gets to the hand of someone else, that means that i am no more. I might not reach home safely tonight, that is the reason I had to record this. If anything happens to me, just know that my husband killed me! My husband connived with my best friend to kill my son! My only son!aaaaaaargh! I don’t even want to live anymore! I don’t want to live!!!”. She heard footsteps from behind and she looked up.

It was Clara.

“I didn’t see you come in through the front. You passed the exit? Why are you wearing the uniform of one of the security men?”. Gretta stepped back as she watched her.

Clara slapped her hard. “You had everything I had ever dreamed of! You had inheritance and a perfect husband! A perfect son too!”.

Tears filled Gretta’s eyes. “You were the one that made my husband think that the father of the child was Edmond! You destroyed my home!”.

“You were in the office with your first love for three hours in just a month after your wedding!!!”.

“Everything was a set up! Edmond ruined me on purpose because I didn’t leave my husband for him!!!”.

” Where is Edmond then?”

“You killed him after he wanted to tell Nathan the real truth!”.

“…and how will Nathan believe you? The three hours you spent with a strange man in your office and Edmond’s testimony”.

“I can prove it through a paternity test”.

“It is too late, Gretta. I already showed him one”.

“You manipulated it! You bastard!”.

She held her hard on her hair. “Go and comfort your son in hell!”.

Gretta sobbed uncontrollably. “You rejoiced with me when my father gave me the inheritance and when I got married too! but how would I have known that my best friend was jealous of me! You also deceived your brother! You deceived everyone! You manipulated my impulsive husband! All those while, the only reason I had kept quiet was because I didn’t want my husband to rot in jail! I loved Nathan more than my life! Even more than my child!!!”.

“The truth is that, Nathan never loved you. He only married you because of the inheritance. The true person he loved was me!”.

“I don’t have any intention of exposing Nathan!”.

“You will! You are blinded with a mother’s love! I can see it in your eyes!”.

Gretta sobbed.

Clara kicked her out of the balcony and disappeared in her disguised outfit.

Nathan shivered. “He was not my child”.

Raymond placed the original paternity test on the desk and it revealed that, Nathan was the father of the baby.

He screamed and sobbed heartily.

The police took him back to the prison after Raymond was done with him.

“Thanks so much for saving the life of our daughter. You suffered so much. You were accused by a bastard!”Raymond’s mother hugged me.

They finally accepted me as their daughter in law.

Katie hugged me.

It was not as hard as I had thought.

I and Raymond sat at the front yard and watched Ryan and my sister play their love game at the front of the house.

Now that I thought of it, Ryan loved my sister but he hadn’t realized it because they had been family friends for too long.

I looked up at Raymond and noticed that his face was hardened.

“Now that I look at it, it was never Nathan’s intention for Clara to kill Gretta that day, he had only sent her to convince Gretta to never expose the truth since they were once besties, but Clara still felt threatened that if Gretta was alive, Nathan would one way or the other find out that the baby he had killed because of his ego was his child. She didn’t want the real truth to ever be exposed, that was why she had poisoned Gretta’s first love and pushed her off”. He said bitterly.

“What do you think Gretta had been doing for three hours with her first love in her office that day?”.

“According to my research, coincidentally, she had a three hours work plan on arranging a particular project she was given that day. Gretta was not the type that would leave her work half done to start chasing a bull head out of her office. When they had both stepped out,she had completed the project. If she was doing anything with him, she wouldn’t have time to complete that long project the time she did”.

“Now, karma has caught Nathan and he will live in guilt for life for killing his own son because of manipulation of a woman without even properly investigating. Coincidentally, the same day that Gretta had spent three hours with her first love was the day that Nathan had impregnanted her. That must have also convinced the stupid Nathan. Gretta suffered so much all her life”. I said sadly.

He met my eyes and brought out a ring from his pocket. “Rosa Harrison, will you marry this imperfect man?”.

“No, I will marry the most perfect man on earth, my handsome detective, Raymond Anderson”. I smiled and he smiled heartily and placed the ring into my finger.

He kissed me.

I closed my eyes and prayed. “Oh Lord, give us a chance to always trust each other in marriage, even when anyone tries to manipulate us, let us keep believing in each other, because perfect love is trust”.

My phone rang and he had to release me. It was Mirabel.

Mirabel was the one that was calling me. Alexander Anderson had passed the inheritance to her. He believed in Mirabel that she was hardworking and wouldn’t waste his money.

“Hello Mirabel?”.

“You were made the manager of the accounting department of Sparkles and you are busy getting engaged and kissing at this time of the afternoon?”.

I burst into laughter and looked up.

I found her sitting beside Dominic and Ryan and waving excitedly at us.

We waved back at her excitedly.

“Sorry for the interruption! You guys can continue your zee world movie!”. She chuckled.

I and Raymond chuckled and he placed a possessive arm around me. “Clara, Nathan and Steve Austin are jailed for life imprisonment right now as we speak and the whole world respect you more because you are the first person that was framed that saved herself”.

“We did it together”.

“Rosa Harrison is no longer condemned! She is free! Rosa Harrison is free!!!”. He cried out into the air and we burst into laughter.

He was right.

At last, I was free.
