Nonsense Mistake - S01 E15

You see, there is this friend of mine who started dealing in

exclusive wedding gowns, so he needs a lady who has a nice

figure who can fit in comfortably on one of his gowns. He

wants to use the person for the face of his company. So I

recommended you for him. I am sure your beautiful face and

well curved figure will do justice to that”

And Chidimma smiled calmly and said: “Thank you so much

for thinking so highly of me, but I thought models are the ones

who do such things and you know I’m not a model and

besides, I don’t even have a flat tummy, I don’t see how the

gown will fit in perfectly on my body.”

“You don’t have to worry about anything, waist trimmer can

help you with that.”

“OK, which day is it going to take place?” She asked

And Chucks told him.

“Is that not the same day Ofoma will be getting married to

Oluchi?” She asked feeling sad

“Yes, but you will go there tomorrow to pick your own size,

then the photoshoot will take place on that same day”

“Chucks, am I not supposed to be feeling sad right now? That

day is supposed to be my day, I’m the one who is supposed to

be getting married to him and not Oluchi. I wonder how he

could forget so soon. After I did for him, he has the strong

heart to shove me away to the curb.”

“I have told you to forget about him, just concentrate on this

photoshoot. Let it keep you happy, its an opportunity to cover

a fashion magazine. Just see it from the bright side, who

knows, you might start receiving wonderful opportunities or

contracts after it. Just don’t say no, because I have told this

my friend so much about you, I don’t want to feel

disappointed and look like a fool in his eyes”

“Hmm, Chucks, the idea is good just that it coincided with the

day of Ofoma’s wedding and I might not look happy that day,

my sad look will destroy the beauty of the picture”

“It doesn’t matter, your face is not all that matters, it’s just the

fitting of the cloth.”

“I don’t know what to say to you now Chucks, I just don’t know

what to say. I can’t give you my answer yet, pls”

“Come on Chi, just say yes, I promise you, you will be happy

for the rest of your life that you accepted this opportunity”

“I will have to think about it, first. I can’t give you any answer

now”

“Come on Chidimma”

“No Chucks, you can’t force me to say anything now”

“Alright, I will give you time to think about it, but know one

thing. This could be your opportunity to greater things… Just

think about it” Chucks said, ending the call.

After they ended the call, Chidimma dropped her phone on the

bed and began thinking over what Chucks proposed.

“I don’t think I can do it Chucks, I just don’t think so. It’s better

I leave town and switch off my phone until all these things are

over. No matter how hard I try, I keep loving Ofoma the more.

How can I kill this feelings? Can somebody tell me how? I

better travel out of town to ease myself from worries before I

die of heart break” she said to herself, began making plans to

travel.

Chucks who finished talking to Chidimma on the phone called

Ofoma, telling him what they discussed.

“But from the way she sounded, do you think she will accept

to do it?” Ofoma asked

“Hmm, I can’t tell anything for now until I hear from her again”

“Chucks, you know how Chidimma is, she is not the type to

feel excited about such things. All she wants is love and

nothing more.

We should have come up with a better idea to

get her to wear that wedding gown”

“Anyway, let’s not conclude on anything until we hear from her.

But there is something I’m suggesting. Don’t you think that she

might start receiving calls from her cousins about the

wedding? I mean, her parents and siblings are already

distributing the wedding cards, don’t you think that she might

get a call from someone? Though, her parents have things

under control, but someone somehow might call her?”

“You are right, Chucks. So what do we do then?”

“Let’s get some boys to snatch her phone” Chucks suggested

“And she will still do a welcome pack. I’m thinking it’s better

we tell her about our plans.”

“Hmm, you know how women behave, she might reveal the

secret to Oluchi out of taunt if she feel provoked by her”

“But we don’t have any option” Ofoma said

“So you think it’s wise we tell her?” Chucks asked

“Yes, let’s tell her.

I know Chidimma, she can’t say yes to that

our wedding gown proposal, so it’s better we tell her the truth”

“No Ofoma, I said No. I want it to be a surprise package for

her. Let’s keep her in the dark, I promise you, she will be

smashed in joy and extreme happiness”

“It’s only if she did not find out before then.” Ofoma said

“See, everything is still under control. You know that the Priest

have accepted to conduct the wedding by 8 a.m, so any

decoration personnel who knows what he is doing can start his

work by that time and finish it before 12. And the cook, that

one will be taking care off elsewhere and not in her father’s

compound. So, even if she hears anything and rush down to

her village, she won’t see anything. No evidence will be shown

to her that a wedding will be taking place in her compound.

And if she asks her parents, they will give her a negative

answer. The decoration will start while she is in the church.

So, let’s do it this way, don’t tell her anything now, trust me”

“Hmm, OK… Let’s do it your way, just that I can’t wait to be

with my woman again. I have missed her so much. Once we

are married, I’m taking her straight to a special place for our

Honeymoon, so that Oluchi will not have her way to hurting

her. I saw the force she came with and knew immediately that

she was ready to do anything to have me back, even if it

demands harming Chidimma, that was why I did what I did to

save my woman. But that Oluchi girl sef, what is she thinking?

That I will leave a treasured girl like Chidimma for her?…

Seriously, some people breath through their anus…. And I will

also be paying her back for all she did to me. It’s my own type

of revenge, and I’m happy I’m doing it.”

“Now you are talking, so you are agreeing with me on not

telling her anything yet?” Chucks asked

“Yes”

“Good! This revenge will be so interesting, I swear.” Chucks
