The Bogey Boy - S01 E03

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 3

The Bogey-spirit that possessed Stalin was much more aggressive and deadly. I was still trying to get my thoughts together when he launched his first attack, killing the boy that was standing by the door with a single blow.

My spirit left me immediately the boy lifeless body fell on the floor with a light thud. Fully aware that I’m going to be next, I started shedding profuse tears. I lost my sense and grip of virility. Witnessing someone’s death and knowing that you’ll be next isn’t something that is easy to bear.

The Bogeyman turned to me immediately he killed the boy and I fell back in fear, while trying to hide under the bunk bed. “Lord have mercy on me. I’ll start being a faithful if I escape from this spirit”, I prayed silently in my mind.

My prayer was indeed answered by God.

The apprehensive atmosphere was interfered by a very loud bang on the door and the Bogeyman shifted his attention away from me.

“Open the door!!!, It’s me Paul. Open the door Elisha. I don’t know what’s happening to me, I just killed a man”, Paul screamed with a shivering voice from the other end of the door.

“I can’t Paul. I’m stuck here. The Bogeyman is here”, I screamed back in answer with all my strength hoping that he’ll pick something meaningful out of my helpless scream.

“You mean the man that has been slaughtering everyone”.

“Yes Paul and he’s staring directly into my fac…..”.

I was yet to finish my sentence when I heard a very loud bang from the door and it was followed by a much more louder bang. I thought Paul wanted to use his legs to break the door until the door fell on the ground with a very loud thud, landing the guy that was killed earlier.

The Bogeyman was just watching the door with this intent look of “you are all going to die along with this boy look” and he all his attentions was directed towards the door.

What appeared behind the door surprised me to my marrow. I thought it was only Paul that was standing behind the door until two police men, four of our teachers and several guys followed Paul. They were all holding one weapon or the other and their faces were screaming vengeance. They were all determined to kill the Bogeyman thinking that it was just a normal killer.

A smile of relieved escaped my lips. At least, they gave me a few more minutes to live and they’ll serve as a form of distraction.

The reaction of the Bogeyman and what happened next after their deadly entrance left us with a hanged mouth and I was much more surprised..

The Bogeyman snapped the head of the first guy that was standing at the front immediately he entered and he disappeared with it. He disappeared with the body of Stalin and the head of the guy he just killed.

The police men started asking me questions immediately he disappeared.

We all trooped out of the room immediately and I sighted the few people that were left behind packing their bags. “This is the end of it”, i thought to myself. The school is eventually going to be closed down.

“Everyone is leaving the school, Elisha. Let us go and pack our bags too, we have to leave”, Paul whispered to me.

“Do you really think we have to go back”?.

“Yes. We have to pack our few stuffs because we are leaving the school finally”, Paul whispered in answer.

I eventually succumbed and I decided to follow him back to our dormitory.

We met one of our roommates on the way, he seems to have forgotten a very important part of his stuff and he was going back to pick it.

We were about to enter our dormitory when Paul excused himself in order to ease himself. The other guy and I went ahead and we starts to pack our bags.

We were still packing our bags when Paul came back screaming. “They just found Stalin’s body at the back of the toilet. They said he fainted”, Paul screamed.

“Where’s now the spirit”, I asked him immediately. I knew that the spirt might have possessed somebody else and he might have killed someone.

“What spirit”, the other guy and Paul answered immediately.

I was just about to answer him when the other guy started transforming into the Bogeyman.

Paul’s eyes popped out in horror and his leg got stuck to the ground. A question popped into my head immediately after the guy’s transformation. “Why is this Spirit appearing to the place I am tonight”.

It was as if the Bogeyman was reading my mind.

“Don’t you know that I’m after you”, the Bogeyman said pointing to me. “Why do you think I’ve been murdering people. I’ve been doing It to scare you. I want to give you the most gruesome death. Why do you think I’m holding back”.

“What have I exactly done to you”, the question flew out of my mouth even though I was afraid.

“Do you remember what you did 5 years ago”, the Spirit asked me.

Then it flashed through my mind. I remembered the event immediately, then I realised that I truly deserve to die.
