Grandmother’s box - S01 E09

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 9

We couldn’t believe what our eyes saw.

The boxes was indeed more than hundred and they were stacked upon each other in tens and twenties.

There was no where else to run to now, and our only option was to either open the door we used earlier and go back to the former room where the little girl is, or we should just stay in the room and hope that the boxes don’t move.

Justin and Jimmy were already shivering and clashing their teeth in fe•ar. I wasn’t left out, my pants was already wet with hot urine.

I became cold and white with fe•ar when I recollected how she commanded the heads of our family to fly and atta•ck us. “Are they going to do the same to us. Are they going to eat us up. I hope they didn’t hear her commands”, I whispered and prayed in my mind.

I gave up on escaping and I sat down dejectedly on the floor, waiting for the boxes to move and probably ki•ll us all.

Immediately my bu•tt touched the ground, my sight fell on the book Jimmy grabbed earlier. The book turned out to be a bible. A glim of hope appeared on my face immediately I saw the bible. “Maybe it can actually help us to escape”, I whispered to myself.

“They are moving. They are moving”, Jimmy screamed.

“Open the door”, I said while picking the bible up.

“What do you mean?. You mean, we should actually go back to that girl”, Justin countered me.

“We can use this. I hope God saves us”, I whispered slowly while flashing the bible across their faces.

We opened the door and the two of them held tightly onto me. I held the bible into the air and we started walking slowly out of the room.

For the first few minutes, nothing happened. Thanks to bible that I was holding on to. The girl didn’t appear, nor did we see any heads.

We started tracing our way back to the living room, and that was where I tripped and fell.

I fell hard and flat on the ground, then my brother followed suit, falling lavishly on the ground.

During the course of our fall, I lost my grip and the bible that was shielding us fell out of my hand.

The whole place went into abrupt darkness immediately the bible left my hand and I felt the strong presence of the girl.

She started laughing hysterically at our situation, saying that we’ve lost the only thing that could make us evade her torment and torture.

The whole place was absolutely dark and I couldn’t see anything. I started searching frantically for the bible immediately she said that.

I couldn’t locate the bible, nor could I locate my brothers. The only thing I could hear was just the faint cries of my brothers, calling my name for help, and the hysterical mean laugh of the little girl. It seemed like the momentary darkness put a billion space between the bible, my brothers and me.

I was still whirling frantically on the ground, in search of the bible when a thick liquid splattered on my face.

I freaked out immediately the liquid touched my face, and without finding, neither the bible, nor my brothers, I stood up and started running.

“Wait for us, Julius””, the faint voice of my brothers called after me as I run.

Their voices made me assumed that they were behind me, and that made me slow down my pace.

“Wait for us, wait for us”, their voices said as they got closer.

I stopped and they eventually got to where I was.

“Why did you fall”, Justin’s voice asked me accusingly immediately they got to me.

“It wasn’t intentiona………”, I was still answering me when the light surprisingly got restored, illuminating the whole place.

And that was when I saw my brothers. I realised that I was talking to only heads. The bodies of my brother has gone and it was only their heads that was calling after me.

The little girl has murd•ered my brothers in the dark•ness, leaving me alone to face the ev•il inside the house.
