GWEN

Just like Clockwork , Everything worked out the way I hoped it would, in fact it worked out more than I expected.

I was present at the TRISCORP Expo witnessing all that was going on, like all other guests, Our families too were invited to the occasion but I managed to slip away quietly and shortly after Mr. Morgan’s speech, The party crasher came and did his work.

Seeing Arthur in his Wolfire form for the second time sent chills through out my body, his mere presence alone was intimidating enough to scare the hell out of any person. While the guests took and ran for their dear lives, I hid somewhere else and watched as Xavier and the security guards tries to subdue Arthur, but his strength was just too much for them to handle and within minutes, Arthur overpowered them and made his escape, I quickly transformed myself into a bat and flew after him.

The Streets of Manhattan were full of police cars and the atmosphere was filled with police sirens and despite all these, Arthur managed to avoid them, It was tough keeping up with him cause he was moving really fast but I stayed on my course and kept following him in mid air. Finally, Arthur stopped and hid himself in the dark subway tunnels of Queen’s train station, I flew into the station as quietly as I could still following his trail.

Moments later, Arthur stopped and so did i, I perched myself on the wall and waited for him patiently to see what he would do next, he soon entered a dark corner and reverted back to his human form, he was completely n-ked and had no clothes to cover himself.

I soon flew down to the ground and transformed back to my usual form, slowly approaching the corner where Arthur was in, as soon as I got into the place I realized he was gone. At first, I didn’t want to go inside but I summoned enough courage and went further into the dark corner hoping to see him and in a blink of an eye, Arthur came out from a another small corner staring at me.

Never in my life have I seen anyone looking so shocked and surprised like the way Arthur was, he stood motionlessly not knowing what to say. Finally, he summoned enough courage to call my name.

Arthur Gwen…

Gwen Arthur…

ARTHUR

Of all the people I was hoping to see, I never expected to see Gwen here in this tunnel, her presence made me speechless and shocked, Series of questions began to fill my head and I really wasn’t sure with any of them except one, which I kept asking myself over and over again.

Did Gwen know about my secret or did she show up here by mistake

But then my instincts began to tell me that Gwen knew something about me and she was here to confirm it, what made me trust my instincts was the blank look on Gwen’s face.

She was busy staring at me awkwardly as if she was trying to find something on me, she didn’t let my n-kedness faze her at all. I tried my best not to look suspicious in any way cause if by any chance Gwen knows about my secret, the outcome will be unknown.

Arthur Uh.. Hey.

Gwen Hey..

Arthur W-what are you doing here?

Gwen I was going to ask you the same thing.. Why are you n-ked?

Arthur Uhm.. my transformation is getting quite… uh…

Gwen Problematic?

Arthur Uh… Yes.. Yes.. I still maintain my form when I transform.

Gwen Oh.. I see… Well, I just found out how to destroy the SOLAR GENERATOR.

Arthur HOW?

In that moment I realized I blew my cover, Gwen had out-smarted and she has now confirmed what she wanted to know, Before I could say anything, a hot slap landed on my cheek.

SLAP!

The Slap was quite painful but it didn’t faze me at all, but what shocked me was Gwen’s fierce and mean glare, her friendly attitude had suddenly changed into that of an angry lioness.

Gwen YOU PRETENTIOUS DOG!! You lied to me!! Why?? I thought we were an item.. Couples don’t keep secrets from each other. Who are you really?

Arthur ………..

Gwen ANSWER ME ARTHUR!!… I know your secret, it took me a while to finally figure it out but I need answers.. Something isn’t right and you’re the only one that can clarify that!

Arthur I’m sorry Gwen but I can’t let you get involved in this.. It’s too dangerous.

Gwen I don’t care… I NEED ANSWERS AND I NEED THEM NOW!… Either you tell me what I want to know or I expose your existence to the whole world.

I knew Gwen wasn’t joking around when she said that, after spending enough time with her during these past few weeks , I knew she doesn’t take her word for granted .

Arthur (sighs) Alright, What do you want to know?

GWEN

Poor Arthur, I should have been so hard on him but sometimes in order to get what you want, one must be hard and cruel.

After trapping him with blackmail, Arthur finally gave in to my demands, I was surprised on how he surrendered to me so easily, He could have silenced me and protect his identity but he didn’t. So after he asked what I wanted to know, I fired my questions at him without hesitation.

Gwen Who are you? And how old are you?

Arthur You already know my name.. I’m the only child of my parents, and the last Wolfire in existence.. My father was a Werewolf and my mother a vampire. They were k-lled by Omhighan, He would have killed me too but a Witch named Artemis came to my rescue and then entrapped me in a hibernation spell, claiming that the spell will free me when the time was right. I have no idea how old I am either.

Gwen I’m sorry… I had a dream about you and your parents.. Your mother had a red hair.. Didn’t she?

Arthur (shocked) Yes.. Did you know?

Gwen Like I said.. I had a dream or a vision rather, about that awful night.. I’m sorry. Is Omhigan really alive?

Arthur Yes.. He is.

Gwen That’s impossible! How is he still alive? It’s been millions of years now since his defeat and the extinction of his kind.. No one could survive that long.

Arthur He must have used magic keep himself alive.

Gwen Okay.. So where is he now? And why are you attacking and destroying the SOLAR GENERATORS?

Arthur I don’t know where he is and as for the SOLAR GENERATORS, they’re weapons, Gwen. Omhigan wants to finish what he started.

Gwen Finish what he started?

Arthur Yes.. he’s using the SOLAR GENERATOR as a weapon to destroy all the other clans.

Gwen Okay.. What you’re saying doesn’t make any sense at all and how sure are you that it was Omhighan that you saw.

Arthur LISTEN TO ME! I saw him face to face, we fought and I nearly won.. That murderous Goblin was able to escape thanks to his Prototype Solar Generator.. I’ve seen what that machine can do.. You know the explosion that occurred days ago at the Brooklyn subway? Well, that place was Omhighan’s hideout and I’ve seen his plans.

He’s trying to mass produce this machine and sell it to the people of this city and once everyone has this in their house, Omhigan will then trigger it and make it explode.. I can’t let that happen.

Gwen Didn’t he use the BURNING STAR the last time?

Arthur Yes.

Gwen Maybe… We’ve got this all wrong… What if he’s using the SOLAR GENERATOR to power up his real weapon which is the burning star.. Since fire won’t be able to boost it up quickly , he’s using the only energy source faster enough to do it and that’s the Solar energy… He’s using the sun. Arthur you need to stop destroying the Solar Generators.

Arthur Why?

Gwen I want to know how this machine works.. I need to conform something.

Arthur NO! That’s too risky… I can’t gamble people’s live just so that you could confirm your theory.

Gwen Arthur please… I’m just trying to help!

Arthur NO!!! I DON’T NEED YOUR HELP, THIS IS MY FIGHT, MY PROBLEM.. NOT YOURS.. YOU’RE NOT GETTING INVOLVED IN THIS .

After that outburst, Arthur went back to his hiding place and sat down mumbling silently, This is the first time I’ve seen him act this way and I couldn’t help but wonder why he acted the way he did. Seconds later, I went over to his place and sat next to him, I gave him my scarf so that he could cover his lower region, his beautiful d–k is too much of a distraction. It’s hard to take my eyes off of it.

Gwen I don’t why you don’t want my help but you can’t do this alone.. Your actions have caused problems for the Werewolf clan and everyone is looking for you.. You’re out numbered and it’s a only a matter of time before you’re caught… You need me.

Arthur But if the others find out you’re involved with me,.. There’s going to be trouble.

Gwen I don’t care.. Besides after all this time our history has been nothing but lies.. I know all our clans were once united before.. I don’t know what made them despise each other but we were once friends and allies. Even the vampires and werewolves.

Arthur Really?

Gwen Yes.. I found one old book in the public library and it had everything about our history.. Everyone needs to know.

Arthur It’s too risky.. Without evidence, nobody will believe us.

Gwen You’re an evidence.. Your existence is proof enough.

Arthur No.. It’s not.. I’m not proof enough! Just need something else,… Omhigan! That’s the only strong proof we need to let the world know what’s going on.

Gwen Alright.. How do you suppose to find him?

Arthur I will find him.

Gwen I’ll help you.

Arthur NO!! YOU WON’T!

Gwen What’s with you?? Do you think you can handle this alone? Why won’t you let me help you? WHY?

Arthur BECAUSE I’M AFRAID OF LOSING YOU…. I don’t want to lose you. My parents died because of that monster… I can’t afford to lose you to him as well.

Gwen (silently)…. Arthur..

After hearing Arthur’s words, my heart skipped a beat and I was left speechless.. I never realized I meant so much to him, all this time I never knew I had a special place in his heart and I have to say I was truly touched.

In that moment, I moved closed to him and locked my left hand with his tightly.. Arthur slowly looked at me staring deep into my eyes. For a while, there was dead silence between us and all we could feel was the sound of our breath on each other’s faces. Gradually, Arthur reached out and placed his hand on my lips rubbing it softly, my heart began to pump faster than ever and I was feeling hot all over my body, I tried as much as I could to keep my eyes on him but nervousness soon got hold of me and I turned my eyes away but Arthur lifted my face and then began to get closer and closer until our lips finally locked on each other.

Our kiss was different from the ones we previously had, This one was deep and intense, It had this romantic spark in it that made us fall more and more in love with each other, Before things could get interesting Arthur stopped the kiss and looked at me, I was really eager to lock lips with him again cause the LINK was already activated in me and I was really in the mood for love making.

Arthur (softly) Gwen..

Gwen (softly) Yes…
