‘Mmmh i think we were talking about your day’..She replied with a beautiful smile across her face…

‘My day?? Well my day was terrible to be honest and i don’t think tomorrow’s going to be any better,I’m sorry I’m finding it hard to find the person responsible for our child Elena’…I said tentatively and her smile faded..

‘Uhhh Javier I’ve got something to tell you’…she murmured tucking her hair nervously behind her ear…

‘Okay?? I’m listening’..

‘Uhmmm well i know who tried to kill me’..She said and at that moment I jolted up to my feet…

‘What?!! You’re saying you know who tried to kill you and you couldn’t alert the guards for an arrest or say anything when I got back?!!’..I screamed…

‘I know you Javier cause I’m your wife and I know you tend to make bad decisions when grumpy and angry so I decided to wait until you’re in a festive calm mood’..She replied and i rolled back my tongue to keep myself from scoffing…

‘Tell me who the bastard Elena and I’ll have his head on a stake in two minutes!!!’..i yelled with anger clearly burning in my eyes…

‘No!!! I won’t say anything until you calm down and promise you won’t kill her!!’..She pouted holding my hands but i yanked it away…

‘Do you really think I’m just going to spare the person responsible for your almost death?? No way Elena I’m not going to make a mistake twice…I let you talk me out of killing Gregory but not this person so please tell me who it is!!!’…i yelled and she bursted into crying…

‘You never listen to me Javier!! You never do!!!’…

‘Ohhh Bah humbug!!’…I retorted in a traditional Grooge expression…

‘Really?? That’s all you’re going to say??Well then your grumpiness!! Don’t talk to me you know what?!! Walk away angry cause that’s how you always do!!’..She yelled from behind me and I smiled..

‘I love you Queen Elena’..

‘I love you too King Grumpy now please promise me you won’t do anything rash’…She said clasping her hands in mine…

‘I can’t make any full promises but i intend to keep my cool until i hear everything you have to say’…

‘Javier please I beg of you!!’..She said and I sighed deeply…

‘Okay fine!! I won’t do anything rash so please tell me the monster who did this so I can live in perfect peace’…

CALLA’S POV❤️

I yawned loudly as I woke up only for me to run into the toilet and reek out the contents of my last dinner…

‘Lady Calla are you okay??’…My maid asked and I frowned deeply..

‘Do I look okay??Do I look okay to you!! Get me a towel!!’..I yelled at her and she nodded as she walked away…

Minutes later she came back with a wet towel and the moment the smell of the damp fabric wavered into my nose I vomited into the toilet again…

‘Lady Calla you need to see a doctor’..she suggested and i slapped her very hard across the face…

‘One more word or suggestion from you and I’ll give you a slap you regret’..I said…

I staggered back into my room and my head spun so hard that I slumped to the ground…

‘Lady Calla!! Lady Calla!! Lady Calla!!’..I heard as my eyes finally closed…

ELENA’S POV❤️

‘Amelia did it’..I finally said after a momentary pause..

‘What d—What the hell are you talking about?!! Amelia the scullery maid?!!’..Javier screamed as he stood up and i grasped his palm..

‘You promised me that you wouldn’t do anything until I am done Javier,please just listen’..I begged with tears glassing my eyes…

‘Listen?? Elena I know what you’ve done for that maid and now you’re telling me t…’..His voice shut off as I covered his mouth with mine…

‘Listen to me please’..i begged and he raised his hands in mock surrender…

‘Okay fine then I’m listening’..He grumbled…

I patted his cheek and dragged him towards the terrace and locked it cause i know him to well and I know he isn’t prepared for the truth…

I’ve never imagined Lord Bachor trying to poison me when he fully well knows that i am nice to him…

I might hate his daughter but that doesn’t mean I hate him too??…

‘Now we’re here,i won’t do anything cause you obviously locked the doors now what is the problem??’..He asked and I sighed deeply..

‘Amelia isn’t entirely responsible for my miscarriage and attempted murder Javier—Lord Bachor is’..

‘What??’..

‘She was threatened by Lord Bachor Javier,he helped her sick brother out of jail and threatened to put him back if she doesn’t do his bidding’..i said holding my breath…

‘This is preposterous and unimaginable!!! Lord Bachor?! Calla’s father?? That’s not possible he’s almost like a father to me!!! Fine I’ve been noticing a lot of dirty things he’s been doing but him trying to kill you is out of the believing box Elena!!’..He said aloud…

‘She isn’t lying Javier’..I muttered under my breath..

‘Really?? You’re a good queen Elena and you’re kind and sweet but that doesn’t mean you should be myopic when it comes to critical matters like this??’..He said in protest..

‘Javier I know I’m right and I’m not being myopic according to your derogatory remark thank you!! I believe her Javier not because I’m compassionate?? But because I know what it means to do something out out of just to save the one you love!!! Remember how you wanted to run away because you were in love with Kara?? You defied your fathers orders and went on to run away with her!! Think about it Javier,Amelia could have easily gotten away with it if your investigation wasn’t successful but instead she came to me in tears begging to not be killed and i totally understand her,she knelt and begged for her forgiveness’..I explained..

‘And you forgave her for killing our child??’..he asked in a gruffy tone..

‘Well no i can never forgive her for what she and that measly Lord Bachor who is clearly a measly thief!!’…i replied with my tone complating with his and he sighed deeply…

‘Call everyone to the Royal courtroom’..

‘Javier?? Please don’t kill her??’..i begged..

‘Let’s wait and see’…

AMELIA’S POV❤️

‘The king has ordered everyone to the Royal Courtroom!!!’…I heard the Royal Bard say and at that moment i felt my life flash before my eyes…

It’s time..

I guess Queen Elena has told the King about my confession…

‘Amelia come let’s go we don’t want to be late!!’..Cassandra another maid said and i walked over reluctantly…

With every step i made i felt drained off every single energy in my body…

Every guard,every stable man,every Castle maid,every royal council member and all the court ladies were present and tears streamed down my cheeks..

‘Amelia why are you crying??’..Cassandra asked…

‘Ohhh it’s the onions they’re affecting my eyes’..I lied and she nodded walking away…

We all bowed in courtesy as King Javier and Queen Elena walked into the room and judging from the look on his face i knew i was doomed…

‘Now as you all know!! My wife the queen was poisoned but luckily she was saved but as a sacrifice for her life we lost our child…Now it has come to my notice that a maid was responsible!!’..The king said aloud and everyone began murmuring…

‘Amelia!!!’..He yelled and then everyone went dead silent…

I gulped hard as I walked down to the throne with my head hung low avoiding every conspicuous glare thrown at me…

‘Yes your majesty I —

‘You committed a grave sin and treason to the kingdom of Northridge Amelia!! You poisoned the queen and therefore the punishment for treason is death by hanging’..He said and i slumped down in tears glancing over at Lord Bachor who was smiling…

‘But…..however judging from the circumstances surrounding the crime you are free’..He said and i jumped to my feet in shock…

What???..

I’m not going to be hanged?!!…

‘Thank you my king!! Thank you!!’..I said in tears and he nodded…

‘Lord Bachor!!!!’…

ELENA’S POV❤️

‘It was a good thing..what you did..it was a good thing’..i muttered under my breath as Javier shuffled closer to me…

‘I think so too,I can’t believe my most trusted official is a traitor’..He replied leaning to rest on my shoulders…

‘The end of it all is it?? Is this the end of all the problems we’ve been having lately??’..i asked and he pressed his lips to my shoulders…

‘I think it’s the end of it all and with Lord Bachor in jail nothing can stop us from loving each other’…He murmured and wrapped his arms around me…

‘Goodnight’…

‘Good night’..He whispered and finally drifted off to sleep..

Is this really the end of it all??…

CALLA’S POV❤️

‘I don’t care if my father has been taken to jail he deserves what every thing he’s going through just please tell me what’s wrong with me’..i snarled at the doctor who seemed to be showing compassion for my family…

‘Well Lady Calla i don’t know how you’re going to take the news’..he said…

‘What news??’..i asked…

‘You’re pregnant’..
