JAVIER’S POV❤️

I just can’t believe that after everything we’ve been through Elena still wants to go riding??..

I groaned aloud anf threw the golden goblet in my hands across the room with so much anger in me that it had to break…

‘Can I come in??’..A familiar voice asked and when i turned it was her…

‘What do you want shouldn’t you be riding or something??’..i asked with a frown and she sighed deeply..

‘Look I’m..I’m sorry okay I know you…

‘Did you just say you’re sorry??’..I cut in marveled by her sudden way of apology..

‘Yeah I’m apologizing so?? I would be doing the earlier if you stop acting like a jackass’..She replied and I frowned…

‘Look I’m sorry about what happened down there and if you don’t want me riding I fully understand —The truth is that my ex boyfriend Jonas used to like riding and we used to do it together so much…but he broke up with me anyway’..She said…

‘Why??’..i couldn’t mind myself asking…

‘Well it’s a complicated issue but riding just keeps me from thinking about him’..She replied…

‘Ohhh do you still like him??’..I couldn’t mind myself asking again..

‘Yeah I think I do’..she replied again and I nodded..

‘Great I think you should leave my room now’…I muttered..

‘Javier??’..

‘Please just leave my room I don’t want to see you’..

ELENA’S POV❤️

I shrugged slightly and went into my room after Javier dismissed me from his room with so much contempt…

Why do I feel like one minute he’s close and the next he’s so distant??…

I went down on the bed and literally bursted into hot tears…

‘Elena??’…I heard Queen Ariel call from behind and quickly wiped my tears away…

‘What’s going on between you two?? You and Javier I mean?’..she asked..

‘Oh nothing…nothing seriously’..i stuttered and she smiled…

‘You’re a terrible liar you know??’..She said and I pursed my lips…

‘Okay fine things aren’t just good between us and in fact it’s confusing between us.One minute he’s close and telling me things and the next he just wants to stay away from me i just don’t know what to do’…I said and started crying…

‘Give him distance Elena that’s what he needs.Javier is sort of a complicated person and I’ve never seen him so unsure of himself before after what happened with Kara’…She said..

‘Kara!? Is that her name??’..I asked and her eyes brightened…

‘He told you about her?? Wow that’s a first he’s never talked about Kara to any person before’…She muttered and walked away while I just slumped on the bed and closed their eyes…

The Next Morning⛅

‘Elena come out I need to talk to you’..I heard and opened my eyes…

I yawned loudly and opened my eyes only to see Javier in front of my door…

I noticed as his eyes lingered on me and when I looked down i realized that i was just wearing a chemise..

‘Ohh I think I need to—

‘You don’t have to worry I just came here to make things clear between us’..he cut in..

‘Yeah I have to say something but you go first’…I replied and he nodded.

‘There should be distance between us Elena,what happened between us in that cave was just a mistake and I think we need to go back to our normal self…You’ll be the regular annoying Elena and I’ll be the monster you always call me’…He said and i gulped..

‘Yeah..yes you’re right there should be distance between us so see you later then??’..i stuttered trying to blink back the tears from my eyes…

‘Good so stay out of my then and I’ll stay out of yours’…

‘Yeah..yeah…yeah’..

JAVIER’S POV❤️

I gulped as I walked away from Elena trying so hard to fight the urge to tear that chemise away from her body…

I mean even with her disheveled hair and her pale face she still looks so endearing and sexy at the same time…

Jeez her body is a sight to perk any man up…

‘So you’re going to keep your distance from her then?? You’re really serious about keeping your distance?! Javier what is wrong with you??’..I asked myself biting my lower lip and walking towards the Royal Chambers for the council meeting…

Lord Bachor suddenly flinched as soon as I opened the door and the rest of the council members also acted super shocked to see me…

‘Why do you all look like you’ve seen a ghost or something??’..i asked and as if in unison they all gulped hard..

‘Well..well your highness we were just talking about building the new church’..Lord Bachor stuttered and i frowned deeply..

‘A new church?? What for??’..i asked..

‘Well…well Reverend Desmond complained about the cracking walls’..he replied..

‘The cracking walls?? And you want to build a new one?? Since when have decisions been put into order without my permission Lord Bachor??’..i asked again..

‘Well since you were stuck with your wife in the forest your highness’…

‘So you deemed it fit to conduct a meeting without me?!! You all out of my sight now this meeting is adjourned!!’..I yelled and they all scampered away…

Twenty minutes later❤️

I sat in the courtyard watching the birds do their thing and the wind take it’s full course…

It’s an exercise i always take that helps me think more clearly…

I turned the other way and spotted Elena also sitting about twenty feet away from me and also staring at the garden…

It’s good i told her to keep the distance between us but still why do i want to draw closer to her??…

Maybe this is all a plan on her part…

Making me feel guilty and then draw nearer to her when she knows I’m doing her a great favor…

ELENA’S POV❤️

As soon as i spotted Javier looking at me from a distance i scampered to my feet and ran away as quickly as i could only for me to trip on a very large stone and fall on the ground…

‘Ahhhh!!!’..I cried out as I spat out blood from my mouth and when i tried standing up i cried out again seeing that I broke my leg..

‘Are you okay??’..Javier asked as he rushed over to where I was and carried me up in his arms..

‘Yeah I’m fine you can put me down’..I replied and he frowned..

‘You know you’re not okay Elena look your leg is dislocated’..He Said…

‘You are the one who said there should be distance between us so please let me down and….’..My voice trailed off as he crushed his lips down to mine..

’Yeah i said there should be distance but i didn’t say you should run whenever you see me?? Now will you shut up and let me take you back to your room??’..

And because of the distance she broke her leg…

a good thing or bad thing??..
