Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 1

My wife and I loved each other so much as we don’t quarrel because we understands each other very well.

She was my first love and we dated for seven(7) years before marriage. Last year,we were awarded the best couple of the year by a spousal organization and we both were happy that at least our marriage have taken another shape.

She was a banker while I was a surveyor. It is said that bankers are always busy but it’s not the same with my wife. She always make out time for me.

I had a bosom friend:Eric. He was a business man who was so rich and had mansions across the town. He divorced with his wife many years ago.

Each time we hang out,I would always tell him how faithful my wife was and he’ll always say in his words “Forget brother, women are all the same”.

My face will often wreathe in smiles and I would usually tell him that he didn’t make the right choice.

So one day,I returned from work drained and Eric called me to come to a beer parlour near our area. I freshened up immediately and headed to the beer parlour.

On getting there,I saw Eric seated with many bottles of beer on the table at his front. Although,I relishes alcoholic drinks,Eric was indeed a dipsomaniac as he doesn’t miss out drinking alcohols daily.

I walked perpendicularly to him as we exchange pleasantries. He ordered the waiter to offer me a plate of dried meat which he did immediately.

While I was eating,he asked of my wife and how I was coping.

“We are fine brother, how’s your business?” I replied bouncing off the walls.

“We thank God, things are moving well. Do you still believe your wife is faithful?” He muttered at loggerheads.

“Yes my brother,she is absolutely one of the best women in the world. The way she controls the affairs of my family is quite endearing” I said bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Eric bursted into laughter and said “I know you always commend her but let’s make a bet of two million naira and test her faithfulness. If she passes you’ll win my two million naira but if she fails I’ll win yours, deal?.

I agreed instantly as I’m fully sure my wife will pass any test.

“I’m delighted you accepted. See the plan, I’ll arrange some boys and they’ll act as if they’re assassins. They’ll give your wife an empty gun to shoôt you that if she doesn’t, they’ll shoôt you both. If she pulls the trígger, I’ve won but if she doesn’t, she have passed. “Eric uttered as though he was raring to go.

I concurred with him and he said that he’ll tell me the location later. After we finished drinking to our taste,we went to our various homes.

The next day,in the morning,I ordered my wife to dress up that we were going to the ShopRite. She dressed up quickly and I told her to drive me.

She was surprised at first but later concided to drive me. We eluded the house instantly and I instructed her to drive through a narrow road we don’t usually follow. My wife looked at me as though she was running out of steam.

She followed the road and was stopped by those boys arranged by Eric. They were with their gûns and they commanded us to knell down.

We knelt down and they gave my wife gún to shoot me that if she didn’t do so that they’ll shoôt me and her.

Initially,my wife was fearful but she later held the gún pointed at me and pulled the trígger but no bùllet came out.

The boys took the gun from her and ran away. I was frazzled and disappointed. I stood up immediately and drove away leaving my so called wife.

She came back and saw her luggages outside the gate as she started shedding tears.
