After that dreadful encounter and a disappointing afternoon , I teleported myself back to home,.. Aunt Jezebel wasn’t around and there was no one here I could talk to about this… I wished Grandma or Rose were alive, I’m sure they would have taken action, especially Rose.

After resting for a while, I decided to take a shower to cool off.. While I was standing underneath the shower, my mind went back to the wizard that tried to force himself on me.. He reminded a lot of Lucas back in the day, after all Lucas also wanted to have me for himself.

But it wasn’t his lust of me that made him seem weird to me but for what he said.. Eons of years.. That’s millions of years.. We witches do live far longer than any living being but I’ve never heard or seen a witch / wizard that has lived for millions of years… And not to mention, his appearance and his identity, I’ve never seen any witch/wizard like him before..

Riley was right about me staying out of this, I really got lucky I had my brute strength but when it comes to magic, I’m no match for him since I was now powerless.

After I was done with my shower, I grabbed my towel and dried my body, in that moment, I heard a knock on my door, I quickly covered my body with a veil and went to open to door, I was surprised when I saw it was my BFF, Esther.

Esther ➡ (shouts) Ahh! Christen… Longest time darling..

.

Christen ➡ Oh Mephistoph!! Esther it’s been a while.. Come in.

.

Esther and I went and sat on the couch holding hands, I removed the veil since I was wrapped with a towel and Esther was just as much as a woman as I am, so there was no need for me to cover myself.

Esther looked around the house, admiring what she saw, it took a while before she finally said something.

Esther ➡ My goodness.. Christen, look at you.. You look lovely and quite older but you still s-xier and hotter than ever. What’s the secret?

Christen ➡ Sleep, Relaxation, Herbs ?, a comfortable atmosphere, less noise and lastly my husband, Riley.

.

Esther ➡ I see.. He’s one lucky human! I hope you’re not letting him do the heavy lifting.

.

Christen ➡ I help out as well.. He doesn’t let me do the heavy lifting. He wants me to be comfortable always and I do my best to look lovely and beautiful. Besides I’m giving him lots of comforts.

Esther ➡ Hmm,Well I’m happy for you.. I truly am.. So how’s Ebinoluwa?

Christen ➡ She’s fine.

.

Esther ➡ Is she still powerless?

.

Christen ➡ I’m afraid so.. But it doesn’t matter to her.. She likes the way she is.

.

Esther ➡ Okay.. So how’s her relationship with Riley? Is she still resentful?

.

Christen ➡ Friend! That girl.. I don’t know what’s wrong with her? Surprisingly Riley still has hope that she’ll acknowledge him as her father. I really hate what that girl is doing to him.

Esther ➡ Relax.. She’s just a kid, I’m sure she’s in one of those childhood tantrum moments.. It will pass.

Christen ➡ I hope so.. So why are you here? What’s the reason for the visit?

.

Esther ➡ Well, I came to see you of course.. it’s been a while since we met.. I think it was during your daughter’s fourth birthday that we last saw each other.

.

Christen ➡ Yes. That’s true. So how’s Calabar and the rivers? Still hunting and eating humans?

.

Esther ➡ I haven’t done that in 3 years.. Although it would be nice to hunt here in Ibadan, since Rose is not around. Sorry I said that.

Christen ➡ No.. No problem (laughs) A lot has happened since she died, everywhere is quiet.

.

Esther ➡ Yeah.. And too bad there’s no one here to replace her.

.

Christen ➡ Nobody can replace her.. Rose is unique in her own way…. Oh (cries)

Esther ➡ Are you crying? It’s okay now.

.

Christen ➡ I can’t help it Esther.. I just miss her, Though she’s a terrible being, she keeps me company, as for my stupid brother Oliver, he rarely visits me. I just feel so alone.

.

Esther ➡ But you’re not alone. You have a loving human husband and a hybrid daughter.. Say, isn’t it time you have baby no2?

.

Christen ➡ Another child!? Are you serious?

.

Esther ➡ What!? Don’t you like kids?

.

Christen ➡ I do but you know how troublesome kids are.

.

Esther ➡ Forget that! If your late mother had the same thought as you.. Only Rose would have been born.. Come on.. Don’t let be your daughter to feel lonesome.. She needs siblings.

Besides.. Kids are a blessing.

Christen ➡ Okay… If you say so.

Esther ➡ So how’s life treating you? How does it feel to be living a like human?

.

Christen ➡ What can I say? It’s boring but I asked for it..

.

Esther ➡ Don’t hang out with your neighbors? Or do some gossiping like how those human mother’s do?

.

Christen ➡ Are you for real? Didn’t you see the surrounding I am living in? I don’t need anyone.. I’m contented with the way my life is.. No disturbance besides.. Gossiping is for hypocrites.. That’s why, I made sure our house is deep and for from any human residence.

Esther. ➡ Well.. That won’t be possible.. The Governments are using the empty lands to build.. What if you have a neighbor?

Christen ➡ Easy.. We’ll move to another quiet place.

.

Esther ➡ And how are you going to do that exactly!? Sell the house?

.

Christen ➡ (laughs) No silly… Have you forgotten I’m a witch.. Anything is possible and let me tell you something you don’t know.. This house has magic of it’s own.

Esther ➡ How so?

Christen ➡ This house is my grandma’s,… I destroyed mine and renovated it to look like mine, all thanks to Aunt Jezebel.

So before my grandma died, she had already enchanted this house to teleport itself to anywhere she wants.

Esther ➡ So if you’re going to make it teleport, how does it work? Is magic involved?

.

Christen ➡ No.. There’s an orb in the center of the house, all I have to do is touch it and imagine the place I want the house to be.

Esther ➡ Nice.. What about Security?

.

Christen ➡ Please.. I have spirits around the house looking after it and one of them is my trustful, Ovarkt.

Esther ➡ Hmm, Christen.. I’m happy for you.. Is there a chance I could stay here for a while.. If you don’t mind?

Christen ➡ Of course.. Unlike those annoying humans, you’re different.. I’m sure Riley will approve.

Esther ➡ What if he doesn’t?

Christen ➡ (laughs) I will make him to approve.. Don’t worry.
