When I got to the barrister’s chamber,I was really delighted because he wasn’t busy as a beaver.

I greeted and asked him how he was coping.

He replied with his countenance chock-fulled in smiles. “My dear all is going well.

I’m a real eager beaver.

“Oh! that’s really nice to hear my barrister, we’ll keep striving relentlessly with God’s muscle. I muttered pensively.

Dear Mrs Mike, your husband will appear in Court next week. It have been scheduled on the 19th of this month and I guess you’re prepared to heave in sight of the Judge and the audience as you will narrate all his evil deeds.”the barrister spoke as though he went ballistic”.

Barrister,you know that a fault confessed is half redressed and I don’t want to bark up the wrong tree.My mother in-law implored me and I’ve forgiven her and my husband Mike.

So I want you to make the lawsuit null and void in other to liberate Mike because if there isn’t no sin there will not be any forgiveness.”I said beseechingly”

My dear, I’m really perplexed you’re saying this, your husband committed a cardinal offence and the lawsuit can’t be made invalid and unenforceable because what he did is totally forbidden by the law. This is an eleventh hour,so he must go to court. “The barrister uttered”

The barrister’s words curdled my blood and my heart sank inside my belly.I wish I could do something but it’s late.

Remember that a man is judged by his deeds,not by his words. See you in court next week.”the barrister added”

I eluded the barrister’s chamber with butterflies in my stomach and I broke out in cold sweat.

What will I do now? Mike caused all these and I’ll surely live him to stew in his own juice.

Cynthia his concubine is flaunting with her lover while he is suffering in the hands of those merci.less Police officers.

Who knows the kind of be.ating he is receiving daily? “I soliloquied thoughtlessly”

I couldn’t stand firm because I had bundles of nerves in my stomach.

I boarded a cab that took me to the police station as though I wanted to see Mike.

When I got there, those obstinate police officers asked me couple of questions that made me infuriated.

I was really frustrated with their irrelevant questions.

Finally,when they allowed me to evade and instantly,I descried Mike with wounds all over him as though he have been tort.ured civilly.

Tears form a couple of streams in my eyes and Mike couldn’t look at me.
