Don’s POV ?

It’s was really hard to stay in that prison, the noise, the odour all over everywhere and many other things

It’s just uncomfortable

I’m very sure the master and Vanessa are on the run

They would find a way to run away from this

How do I get out this, God?

Luckily, I was kept alone in a prison, so there wasn’t anything like beating or shouting

While I was brooding over my life, a police came over

“Why are you doing as if you’re innocent?”

I was surprised at his question.

Does he really care about me?

“Well, it’s because I wasn’t the cause from the start”

“How do you mean?” The officer came closer to the cell I was kept in, he seems to be more interested in my case

“I was poor some years back, I had nothing, I was like a wretched human being. While I was searching for daily bread, I came across a man named master. He didn’t really tell me his real name, he kind of help me, but I didn’t realize it was all about rituals.”

“So, are you saying that he might have been controlling all this while?”

“Somehow, but it’s impossible to believe. Because some days back, I went to his house to ask some questions, when I got there, I saw him being threatened by a boy. The master I’ve known for some years now can’t be threatened by just an ordinary boy”

“So maybe, he is kinda fake?”

“Yeah, but wait a second. Why do you care so much about me?”

The officer suddenly laughed

He was laughing loudly ignoring the stares from other officers

What’s going on?

“What’s so funny?” I asked

He suddenly kind of rub his face with his palm and behold, it was the master right in front of me

“So I’ve talking to you the whole time?”

“You see Don, there is something you don’t know about. I’ve been in this business of giving human parts to politicians. But do you think I would just keep trading without any power or charms?”

“I don’t understand”

“Don, I collected the charms from great herbalists. It’s just so unfortunate that you were caught. Although, I was the one who called them.”

“What? You called the police on me”

“Yeah Don. I gotta go, I don’t want to be late for an important meeting”

He suddenly disappeared

Oh my God

I’m very confused right now

I thought he was fake

I thought he didn’t have any power or charms protecting him

What’s all this?

So if he had charms, definitely, he hypnotized me

God, this is getting more confusing

Johnbull’s POV ?

Whoa it’s really hot out here

How do I find my Mom for heaven’s sake?

There has to be some way I could find her

What if.. oh my God. Please let her not be dead

I can’t do anything in life if my Mom is dead

The weather was beginning to change

How do I get a place for shelter?

If I go to Deborah’s house, she may not let me in

We had a fight before I left the prison and I’m very sure, she has been taken back home

I decided to go to her house

I luckily know her house, it was a particular day, I was coming back from church

She didn’t see me, maybe because we weren’t in the same school yet

I dragged my feet all the way to Deborah’s house

I was really tired, I lacked strength due to me not to have eaten

Thank goodness, her house wasn’t far from mine

Finally, after some minutes, I arrived at her residence

“Knock knock!”

I waited for a minute before knocking again

“Knock knock!”

I could hear someone sniffing in the house

Why are they not responding?

After some minutes, Deborah came out

“Hi” it was turn to being shy

She looked at me like she suspected me of something

“I’m really sorry Deborah. I….”

“Come in” she cut me off my statement

I entered, walking slowly

“Why are you walking like that?” Do you want to steal something?”

“No no. I was just kind of not disturbing. I heard someone sniffing, so I decided to be calm”

“Whatever, just follow me let me show you your room”

“Wait! How do you know I was in need of shelter?”

“Johnbull, are you coming or not?”

She asked raising her voice a little bit

She must be angry with me

She left me in room, while I took my bath.

Deborah’s POV ?

“What?”

“Yes Mom, I saw Dad. He was actually the owner of the place I was kept in”

“Did that stupid man hurt you?” She began searching through my body, looking for scars or scratches

“No Mom, I’m fine”

“So after leaving us for so many years, he decided to come back by kidnapping you right?”

“No Mom, he didn’t know that I was the one that was kidnapped. Actually it’s a long story”

“Tell me everything right now!”

My Mom was beginning to shout a little

She was sweating furiously

“Ok Mom”

I explained everything I knew, from the beginning till the end

She suddenly laughed

“Why the laugh Mom?”

“Donald is stupid for thinking he could get into your head. How do believe someone that kill people for rituals just by mere words of saying he was hypnotized”

“But Mom that’s the truth and he isn’t stupid”

“He is stupid”

“And yet he is still your husband”

“No he isn’t, we divorced a long time ago”

“No Mom, you…”

“Deborah, please let’s not argue on this”

“No Mom, I won’t allow you to deceive me. I know dad didn’t do that on purpose. Have you forgotten your husband?” I asked in tears

“He is not my husband anymore”

“He is mom, he is still your husband”

She began crying

It was a sad moment

The room was silent for some minutes, until someone knocked at the door

I decided to ignore it. But the knock kept coming

So I went to open it and behold I saw Johnbull

Well, I was not surprised, because I heard his Mom was kidnapped and the landlord has locked their room

I directed him to his room, I decided to be mean at him

For what he said at the prison still ring in my head

“Who was that?” My Mom asked after cleaning her tears

“It’s Johnbull”

“Oh that boy, where did you take him to?”

“The guest house”

Wonder’s POV ?

I felt the world leaving me

Oh God! I was dying until someone tapped me

“Ma’am are you okay?”

I opened my eyes and saw a police officer

Wait a minute, am I dead?

“Ma’am are you okay?” The officer asked again

“Yeah.. yeah, I’m fine. Please what’s going on?”

I looked at around to decide what was really going on

I couldn’t find my dad by my side

Did Sarah shoot only my Dad?

“Deborah! Deborah!!” Someone screamed my name from outside

I rushed outside.

It was my Mom

She hugged me tightly

“Mom, where is Dad?”

“Oh he went to write a statement at the station”

“Then who was shot or are we dead?”

“No oo. It was Sarah that was shot”

“How”

“Before she pulled the trigger, an officer shot her from behind. it was twice because she tried shooting your Dad after the first bullet”

“Oh, thank goodness. We are free at last”

My Mom laughed

“I knew this through a friend, he had told me that a woman was driving so fast to our neighborhood. I suspected it was Sarah, that was why I called the police”

Evening time ???

The whole family gathered at the sitting laughing and playing

It was really a great moment seeing my Mom and Dad play again

Finally, that woman’s presence won’t be on us anymore

Wait a second.. I forgot she was pregnant

“Dad, what about her pregnancy?”

My Dad turned,facing me.

His face suddenly changed

“Honey, don’t scare her nah” my Mom interrupted

My Dad suddenly smiled

“Ok Wonder, when I went to the station, I decided to visit her at the hospital. It was really unfortunate she was shot while carrying a baby.

When I reached there, I asked of her wellbeing, the doctor assured me she was fine”

“But Dad, she is still pregnant for you”

“No, later on the doctor did a DNA test on the baby and it showed that I wasn’t the owner of the baby”

“What! Wait Dad, say it again”

“I’m not the owner of the baby, it belongs to whoever she has being sleeping with”

Oh my God ? ????

I jumped up, shouting like someone insane
