ELENA’S POV CONT’D❤️

‘Okay Elena just chill and act like this is a dream that you’re not waking up from,just chill and everything would come back to normal’…I said to my self as I bit my fingernails nervously…

‘Don’t worry mi lady,his highness isn’t going to hurt you and I’m glad you’re here anyway’..The driver said in a chuckle..

‘Huh?? What do you mean??’..i asked even though I was the least interested in the conversation just for curiosity sake..

‘Well King Javier is known for his reputation to be a user of women’..he replied and took a detour..

Oh Great..

So my father is hell bent on getting me married to some old king who is a royal playboy how sweet…

‘Uhmmm does he have other wives??’..I asked further..

‘Oh hell no mi lady not that I’ve heard of anyway,King Javier is more of a very secretive person and brave too even though he’s reckless but North ridge is lucky to have him’…he responded and I nodded…

I almost opened my mouth to ask how old the so called Javier was but shut it immediately we entered a pothole and the car stopped…

‘What’s wrong??’..i asked as the driver came out of the car..

‘Sorry for the delay mi lady but it seems like we’ve run into a ditch which has lessened one of the tyres,i have to call someone to fix it’..he replied and I cursed more loudly in frustration…

Everything about this place is so wrong..

First I’m getting married..

Secondly I’m in North pole or whatever..

Now the cars spoilt..

‘So what you’re trying to say is that I’m stuck in this shit hole with no phone,no friends,no cars and now this thing is spoilt?!! Give me one reason why I shouldn’t run away!!!’..I yelled and he smiled…

‘Hey must you smile??! We’re in a dilemma here!!’..i added and his smile faded…

‘I’m sorry mi lady but uhmm let me just make a phone call to Gregory and he’ll come pick us up’..he said and I groaned…

This place is pointless!!!…

JAVIER’S POV❤️

‘Gregory!!!’..I yelled at the top of my voice going into Gregory’s room..

‘Ohhh you’re awake??’..He responded adding finishing touches to his shirt…

‘Yeah I’m awake where are you off to??’..I asked and then I noticed the nervous glint in his almond eyes…

‘I..I’m..well the queen mother asked me to go help her pick some vegetables for her in the vegetable market’..he said..

‘But that’s what the maids and cooks are there for??’..

‘Y..yeah but uhh these are special vegetables for her spa,I’m the only one that knows where it is in the market’…He countered and I frowned..

Something’s up..

Whenever Gregory can’t look me in the eyes it means he’s lying..

‘Okay then but first I want you to get that girl away from my bed she snores’..I said and walked away heading for my sparring room…

‘Are you sure you wanna do this??’..I said to Calla,Lord Bachor’s daughter who happens to be my closest friend…

She’s the only close woman in North ridge I haven’t touched anyway…

‘Hmmm i should be asking you that question Jay’..She replied taking two swords from the rack…

I smiled seeing what she was doing and picked a staff from the same rack..

‘Hey you can’t use that!! We all know you’re good with staffs!?’..She protested and the next thing she knew I lifted her feet off the ground and she landed splat on her butt…

‘Owwww’..she whined and I chuckled softly extending a hand to lift her up…

Sometimes I wonder why Calla can’t be my queen…

She’s fun to be with,not extremely pretty to my taste but she’s fun all the way…

She’s the only woman that spars with me even though she’s no good at it..

If it wasn’t for my love of being single i would have married her…

‘You better go change into your dress before your father catches you with me,you know I’m his ruler but he still doesn’t approve of our friendship’..i muttered and the smile on her face widened…

‘Yeah he thinks you’re a heart breaker and I won’t deny it you are that’s why I’m glad about your marriage to Elena Viero’..she replied and the smile on my own face faded…

‘Ohhhh you’ve also heard about that?! Ughh my mother and her big mouth!!’..I groaned throwing my staff which landed in it’s place…

‘Yeah,so there’ll be no more sparring between the both of us then??’..She asked and I sighed seeing the sad look in her eyes…

‘Ohhh nothing is going to change between us Calla,just because some fashionable New York girl is coming doesn’t mean we’ll be close any less?? And besides i don’t even know her or even love her so she can’t come to ruin the friendship I have with you,you’re more fun to be with and uhmmm’..my voice trailed off as soon as my mother walked past us..

Oh now she’s spying on me!!..

ELENA’S POV❤️

I chuckled softly seeing a young guy trying to wrestle with a horse just because he wanted to get on it while I waited for the so called Gregory…

‘You’re doing it the wrong way!!!’..I yelled and he turned around..

‘Ohhh really?? Teach me then!!’..He yelled back and I chuckled again..

‘You have to make the horse feel loved and don’t show her that you’re scared,a horse doesn’t like a scared rider’…I explained..

He heaved a short sigh and did as he was told and in no time he was on the horse..

‘Thank you…I’m Tonio by the way’..he said..

‘Elena..nice to meet you’..i replied and he rode away…

Hmm maybe North ridge isn’t so bad after all…

After Tonio was out of sight another car arrived and a short guy with a mop of carrot colored hair came out…

‘Ohhh you must me Elena,I’m Gregory nice to meet you my lady’..He said and I scoffed..

Can they please stop calling me this lady bullshit?!!…

‘Please just take me to where ever you’re supposed to take me’…

Mid Afternoon

I stared blankly at the garden and turned to leave when my eyes caught a young lady with short black hair and the funny part was that she wasn’t wearing a dress….

She was rather wearing a black jacket and colored boots with a hat..

I walked over to where she was and when she turned…

‘Who the hell are you?!’..We asked each other in unison and I arched my brows..

I’ve seen enough ladies in my 28 years of living but I’ve never seen someone like this..

‘Who the hell are you??’..She asked again more rudely and i frowned..

‘Don’t talk to me in that manner lady I should have you know that I’m…

‘I don’t care just go away,I’m not in need for a bodyguard if that’s what you’re thinking’..She cut in again..

Wait did she just regard me as a bodyguard?!!..

‘Look here you!! I won’t have you come to my castle and have you disrespect me?!! Who the hell are you anyway?!!’..I yelled as I grabbed her arm..

‘Who i am is none of your business okay?! And show some respect dude cause it seems like I’m going to marry your dirty smelly old king who i haven’t even met so buzz off and next time if you lay your hands on me I’ll make sure you loose your job!!!’…
