Helen ➡ Look at what you’ve done now! You’re lucky you didn’t mess my clothes.. I’m late for work so.. You’ll have to manage with the eggs.. You’ve already exhausted the time I was supposed to use to make you a full breakfast… I’ll be going now.. See you later.

Robert ➡ Okay. See you later.

Helen walked out of the kitchen and soon left the house.. After a while I got up on my feet and took the eggs to the dining table, I quickly devoured it and made myself some tea to wash it down with it.. After I was done, I went and took my bath.

The bath was refreshing but I wasn’t feeling enough energy to do any work today.. So I called Victor and told him or rather lied to him that I was sick and that I wouldn’t make it to work.. He showed his concern wishing me and all that well wishing nonsense. After that, I ended the call and decided to go out for a visit..

A while later, I went over to Helen’s brother’s place at work… His name is Jeremy and he’s a manager at Access bank here in enugu, He and I have known each other for years, we met at the NYSC camp we were serving and we got along just fine and we’ve been keeping in touch.. It was Jeremy who introduced me to his sister Helen and paved way for me to have a relationship with her.

When I got into his office, he was busy typing away on his laptop.. I had to cough to make me realize my presence.

Jeremy ➡ Roberto… You sly devil… Long time o.

Robert ➡ Which kind long time? I called you last week?

Jeremy ➡ Oh really? It’s seem like a year to me… How you doing?

Robert ➡ I’m fine man.. I’m good.. So how’s work?

Jeremy ➡ As usual.. Exhausting.. But I can’t complain.. The pay is good… So how’s Helen? Hope you’re taking care of my little sister?

Robert ➡ Believe me.. If I weren’t you would have known by now.

Jeremy ➡ Roberto!! Do you need anything to drink?

Robert ➡ No.. I’m good.

Robert ➡ It’s just that I had a wild rough night..

Jeremy ➡ So why aren’t you at work?

Robert ➡ I’m exhausted.. I need to rest, that’s all.

That’s why most marriages don’t work.. A woman needs attention, and if she doesn’t get any from her male spouse, she’ll seek it else where.

Robert ➡ But still, she should at least let him know or give him a heads up to adjust.. If he doesn’t, she should just divorce him and get someone else.

Jeremy ➡ My brother. Getting married these days is very hard.. Men are getting scarce..

Robert ➡ But cheating on your partner when he or she is not doing it isn’t fair.. That’s pure cruelty and betrayal.

Jeremy ➡ You’re right… So is she done with her confession?

Robert ➡ No. She’s coming tonight to confess again.

Jeremy ➡ Well, sit tight and don’t lose yourself.. Be strong.. You know Helen will kill you if you stick your d-ck into another woman.

Robert ➡ You don’t need to remind me.. What advice do you think I can give this woman?

Jeremy ➡ I don’t know.. It’s all up to you.. Just be patience and listen until she’s done.. Maybe you’ll figure out something.

Robert ➡ Alright thanks.. I’ll be going now.. I need to go and chill.

Jeremy ➡ Chill? You lazy maga.. Ehn. When are you going to get my sister pregnant? My parents are expecting some development.

Robert ➡ Pregnant!? Well.. That’s all up to God. He gives children, not me. I’m just doing my part to make it work. See you soon

Jeremy ➡ Sure. Greet Helen for me.

Robert ➡ Will do.

Later that night around 8:00pm, Sonia informs Robert that Eva is here for her confession.. Feeling tired and weak from last nights rumble with Helen, Robert drags himself from Father Louise’s office and goes straight into the confessional box, After exchanging pleasantries with her, Eva begins her confession.

Eva ➡ A month after Chuck died, I decided and promised myself that I would be faithful and loyal to my husband and as days went by, I kept that promise..

Robert ➡ But something eventually happened that made you break that promise.

Eva ➡ Yes father… One day, my husband brought someone to our house. I later found out that the man my husband came with is his boss at work. The man’s name is Kenneth okwonko! He was quite tall but was also fat, his face looked like an old woman’s a**, he was so ugly.. Never have I seen a man so disgusting in appearance.

Robert ➡ And then what happened?

Eva ➡ Nothing at first.. He behaved like a normal guest, but as time went by, He began to visit up frequently.. Whenever I sat alone while he and my husband were talking.. I noticed he would be stealing glances at me.. I thought it was just coincidence but then i realized it wasn’t. Whenever my husband wasn’t looking.. He’d smile ? at me, I felt nauseas whenever I look into his face.

So one night, while I was in bed with my husband, he began to talk to me about his boss.

Husband ➡ I realize you don’t like Oga Kenneth?

Eva ➡ The man disgusts me..

Husband ➡ Look woman.. He’s my boss.. So I’d like to your treat him kindly so that I can get a promotion.. Once that happens, our life will get even better than it is now.

Eva ➡ Our life is okay as it is.

Husband ➡ I know but there’s nothing wrong in wanting more in life.

Eva ➡ So what do you expect me to do?

Husband ➡ Just be good to him. Do it for me please..

I couldn’t believe it… Why should I please some b-stard that I barely know… So I decided to do as my husband asked, after all we’ll both benefit from this if his plan works.

So one night, My husband came back home together with Kenneth.. My husband was wasted on Alcohol, so Kenneth carried him back home.. He helped me put my house in our bedroom and after that, we both went to the living room… I thanked him from bringing my husband back.

Eva ➡ Thank you for bringing my husband back home.

Kenneth ➡ No problem.

Eva ➡ Only God can repay you..

Kenneth ➡ There’s no need to go that far.. You can repay me.

Eva ➡ With what?

Kenneth ➡ With this.

I was taken by surprise when Kenneth smacked by a** fondling it with his gorilla hands. I pushed him away and slapped him hard across his face. Kenneth smiled and rushed at me, he grabbed hold of my neck and pinned me on the wall.

Kenneth ➡ You f-cking b-tch! Do you know who I am?

Eva ➡ You’re nothing but a dog!

Kenneth ➡ You’re fierce.. I like woman that play hard to get… Listen to me you wh-re.. Your husband’s career is at the palm of my hands, I steer the course of his job and what you just did might cost him his job… If you had agree to do as i wanted earlier, I would have f-cked you once and left you alone but what you did must be paid in full.. And you’ll be the one to pay the price… So If you don’t want your husband to lose his job? It’s better you do as I want until I’m satisfied.

Eva ➡ I’d rather die first. (Spits)

Kenneth ➡ Its seems you’re not listening. If your husband gets fired.. I’ll make sure he never gets any work in enugu ever again.. I’m very well connected and I can ruin his life and yours with just a phone call.. So the choice is up to you.. S--k and bow to my d-ck or spend the rest of your live in poverty.
