I opened my eyes to find myself in place as cold as a refrigerator. I look sideway and I see dead corpse lied side by side beside me. on seeing this, I hurriedly rise on my feet. I look around me and I see more of dead corpses. ” where is this place, and what am I doing here with the dead ” I asked myself this question.

I saw a door close to where I am, so I approached the door. Lucky for me the door wasn’t lock, so I opened the door and stepped outside. I saw a man sleeping loudly beside the door.

” excuse me sir, can you tell me where I am ” I said.

The man look at me terrified, then all of a sudden, he picked a race. I wonder why he ran, I thought maybe he see a danger so me too I run after him shouting for him to stop.

And before I knew it, everywhere was in chaos. Whoever that see me or I came across with, run like they are seeing a ghost. Some were shouting and screaming ” ghost ghost!! ” I tried telling them that am not a ghost, but no one seems to hear of it.

I met Gen Adelaja and a soldier on the way. Immediately the soldier sighted me he screamed up then took to his knees like a terrified pig. Gen Adelaja stood his ground , but it was obvious that he’s shaking beneath.

Me: sir , why are people running away from me?

Gen Adelaja : its okay son. The worst is over.

Me: the worst?

Gen Adelaja : yes son, please follow me, I have a place to take you to.

Me: where?

Gen Adelaja : I will explain everything to you on the way.

I saw Adesewa being lied on the floor. I rush to her then caress her hair.

Me: please what happened to her?

Gen Adelaja : you are responsible for her predicament.

Me: me? How?

Herbalist : her life was dependable on yours.

Me: I don’t get you.?

Herbalist : you were dead.

Me: I was dead, when.? Am not! am alive.

Herbalist : think very well, who was the last person you saw.

Me: the last person I saw?

Herbalist : yes think deeply.

Me: I… I… I think its… RUTH!!!

Herbalist : who is Ruth?

Me: I think… She’s like me.

Herbalist : like you…

Me: yes we are different.

Herbalist : different?

Me: yes in the spirit world.

Herbalist : and now you’ve return. Now you need to wake Adesewa up.

Me: how?

I moved closer to Adesewa and hold her tightly by her hand.

” Adesewa its time to get up, am here, ayo is here, stop sleeping wake up”

And slowly she gave a short sign and her eyes were opened. I hurriedly hug her tight.

Adesewa : ayo i thought you are dead. What happened?

Me: its okay my dear, am back for you.

Adesewa : promise me you won’t leave me again.

Me: I promise.
