One day, I was going to work and I saw our gate man Ade eating mango, then I stopped because I have been craving for mango for the past two days and you know every pregnant woman must have what they crave for, and I have been looking for it to buy for some days now but didn’t see it, even my husband have gone to the many places to know if he can buy mango for me, but didn’t see it either, according to the people we asked, they said that is not mango season that it will be very difficult for we to see it, I was surprised when I saw our gate man eating mango, that was why I stopped to know where he bought it from because am really craving for it.

“Ade……. “I called

“good morning madam, you wan go work, make I open gate for you “he said and stood up to go and open the gate, but I stopped him

“please Ade come back, leave gate for now later you can do that when am ready, I want to ask something, please where did you buy this mango you are eating, because I have been looking for it to buy for the past two days but didn’t see any, so where did you buy it from? I had asked

“eeehh…… madam, na one woman, wey dey carry am pass I buy am from, I mean she dey carry am Kiri “Ade replied

” Wow! you mean a woman is Hawking mango in this street? I asked again

“yes madam, she dey carry am pass well well “he answered

“really…..

“yes madam

ok do you have an idea if she will pass again today because I want you to buy five hundred naira mango for me, you know am going to work, I will not be around to get it my self, please help me to buy it, I have been craving for it alot “I said

“no problem madam, I go buy am for you if she pass again “he said smiling and I gave him five hundred naira and told him to open the gate for me, which he did and after that I drove off to work.

Later in the evening, I closed from work and was heading home with my car, on getting to the gate I saw Ade our gate man buying mango from a woman who seems to be in her late 50s, she was looking so unkept, although I didn’t see her face because she was facing Ade’s direction selling mango for him, so I drove close to the gate and wined down the glass of my car

“This woman, sell this thing fast for me nah, make I go open gate for my madam “I heard Ade said to the mango seller, who was still facing his direction putting mangoes into nylon for him

“Ade, be fast and open the gate for me, I don’t know what is keeping you so long, I don’t even know what you are buying that you are wasting time to open the gate for me “I said to him from inside my car because am tired of waiting

“Madam no vex, na this mango woman dey waste my time, na she be the woman wey I dey tell you about wey dey Kiri mango “Ade said and Immediately the woman turned to my direction probably to greet me, as our face met, I was very shocked to see who the mango seller was…….
