AZIEL STORM.

“How are you feeling now?” I asked Mia who was staring at me weakly.

“Am fine,but you are not supposed to be home yet” she said weakly.

And I thought back on what Ayomide said,could it be that Mia is pounding yam,it can’t be the pregnancy that will just make her faint like that,she must have done something more stressful.

“Aziel” she called snapping me out of my thought.

“I said you should not be home now” she said.

“Well,that is true but family first” I said stroking her hair affectionately.

“I have something to ask you and I want you to answer me truthfully” I said.

“What question is that?” she asked.

“what is the cause of you fainting, are you perhaps pounding yam?” I asked softly

“Of course..not,Ayomide clearly said I shouldn’t do it and I am not” she said

“You are lying” I said cause she is not looking at me in the eyes.

“Of course not, I was only tired” she said ..

“is it my mom” I asked making her sigh.

“See Aziel,I don’t want to create a rift between you and your mom which is why I do whatever she says.

And its quite understandable that you are the only male she has,that might be why she is doing this” she said.

I was tempted to slap her for her stupid speech but I held myself.

“Your excuse is lame and you still haven’t answer the main question” I said glaring at her

“Well,your mom locked the door and threatened that I either pound yam or not go to work,so I had to do it” I said.

“And you couldn’t tell me,you could have just gone into the room and call me” I yelled angrily.

“Am sorry,I said I don’t want to create a rift between you both” she said…

“That is wickedness,she was there the day Ayomide said don’t pound yam but she still asked you to do it” I said feeling pained.

“This is why o don’t want to tell you” she said pouting playfully so I could smile but I wasn’t ready to.

“There is no joke in this Mia, its actually not your fault,I blame myself for been obedient but its not happening anymore” I said.
