“Good morning ma” she rushed her greeting rushing towards the door but couldn’t open it.

“Going somewhere?” I asked rhetorically.

‘Yes ma,I need to go to work but the door is not opening “she said almost crying.

” That is your problem, I am really hungry this morning “I said pacing around steadily.

” I already made breakfast ma,are the keys with you?”she asked softly.

“Yes,they are with me,and you seem to be late for work” I said.

“Yes ma,and I need the key so I can get out” she said impatiently.

“We shouldn’t delay each other anymore, I need you to pound some yam for me,then you can go when you are done” I said.

“I don’t have the stamina for that this morning, I promise to pound it for you once am back from work” she said

“Too bad,I want it now,you feel you are smart to report me to my son,now let’s see if he can rescue you,

pound the yam quickly so you can go to work on time or stay there and keep talking” I said making myself comfortable on my favorite couch.

“This is wickedness ma,you were there when my sister told you all that I shouldn’t do anything stressful…” she trailed as I interrupted.

“Are you pregnant, you are barren and you are abstaining from stress,continue ranting, time isn’t waiting for you” I snapped.

HOURS LATER

She came out sweating like a Christmas goat,I walked to the door and opened it for her to go wherever she want.

MIA AYOMIKUN STORM

“Why are you late to work Mia?” my boss asked screaming on top of his voice.

“Am sorry sir,something came up” I said.

“Am only going to pardon you today cause this is unlike you” He said walking back to his office.

“Are you okay?” Lydia asked running towards me.

“Am far from been okay Lydia, but let’s talks later,am really feeling sleepy” I said weakly.

My intercom rang which means my boss needs me…

“Let’s talk later” I said standing up from my chair but I felt everything moving in circles .

“Mia” I heard from afar before falling unconscious.
