We got to the stream which took us more than two hours. A large stream it was, almost the size of a river.

“this stream big o” Joe exclaimed as we stood on the hill side viewing the stream below . The villagers were washing and swimming in the deeper north side of the stream.

The water spanned into the forest passing through a canal. Children were seen around this area signifying it shallowness.

A group of women were washing on a long log of dry wood across the other side of the river. A canoe were two macho men were in was been paddled by one of them sitting on the edge.

They cries had caused commotion as all were looking towards the direction.

The looks on their faces were that of confusion. Shouts were heard from their camp. Ngozi was clapping her hands and jumping, it was hilarious.

Becky was shouting, her hands on her laps, in a dogggy position. Vicky? Her hands were placed on her head, in a frantic mood, she almost Jumped into the river but was held by captain.

Rock was already in the water swimming towards no where, many guys were in too. The macho men with the boat was circling the place, waiting for the drowning fellow to resurface. He did with the biggest tummy a pregnant woman can never have, but didn’t make any sound.

The body was quickly fetched out by the rescuing team, admist shout from the crowd gathered at both banks and the crowd in the water. It was obvious, the fellow had ventured into the deeper part and had gotten his reward.

Just then, i realised i hadn’t seen Joe since the beginning of the incident. I looked around again, he wasnt in sight, Joe was missing.
