Hearing Rose’s statement shook me harder than Riley’s death… I still couldn’t believe she said that, Not only I was shocked about the situation that was currently going all, Everyone stood and watched what would happen next.

Rose stood defiantly in front of the demon looking straight into it’s face, The demon stared down at Rose for a while before giving her an answer.

Demon ➡ You’re Rose aren’t you? The dark witch of carnage and evil.

Rose ➡ I see you’ve heard of me?

.

Demon ➡ Yes.. Your reputation precedes you.. Even in the dark pit of the purgatory and the inferno, stories of your wickedness and brutality has been heard.. The dark lord is pleased with you.

Rose ➡ Whatever… I’m waiting for my answer!

Demon ➡ Are you sure this is what you want? Do you even have any idea what you’re about to do?

Rose ➡ Of course..

Demon ➡ Then so be it..

Christen ➡ No… No.. No… Wait.. Rose.. What are you doing?

Rose ➡ Saving your fiancee…

Rose slapped me all of a sudden and then held me by the shoulders, She gave me and serious look and then sighed.

Plus, I’ve live quite long enough, 500 years is not a joke, besides I’m getting bored of this world.

Christen ➡ But what about having family? Don’t you want that?

Rose ➡ (laughs) Me? Family? My dear.. You and I both know I’m not the marrying type… No man or wizard can hold me down.. I’m unbendable.. And also I belong to know one… (Sighs) Mom would be proud to see how you’ve become.. Too bad we won’t meet in hell… I would have told her all about you… I’m going to miss you and also always stay strong… If Oliver was tough enough I wouldn’t be worried but still I know you’ll scale through.. Also don’t forget to tell your child about me.. It’s a shame I won’t be around to see him or her.. Good bye sister..

I couldn’t give her an answer.. Instead I just hugged her tightly crying on her chest… Rose may be wicked and all but I wouldn’t exchange her for anyone.. She’s my sister and the best one could ever have, After that, Rose let go of me and hugged Oliver who was hardly holding back his tears.. They both hugged tightly for a while, after a few short moment, They separated and Rose went over to the demon and told him to finish the ritual.

Rose ➡ Okay demon scum.. Let’s this over with..

Demon ➡ Very well then… Step over here.

Rose went forward standing a few steps away from Riley, then in that moment, the demon’s eyes glowed, after that some kind of bright circle appeared underneath Rose’s feet, then suddenly, she stood still as if she was in some kind of hypnosis then surprisingly her body began to levitate, The demon who was still gazing at her stretched out it’s hand over Rose, her face looked up at the palm of his hands and her mouth parted a little bit, and in that moment, Rose’s end unfolded right before our very eyes, Her essence or rather soul was stripped away from her, we watched the demon put her soul inside his bag, After that, Rose’s corpse fell to the ground, her body was still intact but it was ghostly and pale, Oliver went over to her place and carried her body in his arms..

Words couldn’t explain how sad I and the others felt when Rose sacrificed herself, nobody was even more sad than me and Oliver, The deed had finally been done and now we had to wait and see what would happen.

Afterwards, The demon then turned his attention towards Riley, he stretched out his hand and placed his huge thumb on Riley’s chest, his body glowed in some kind of whitish aura for some seconds and finally his body stopped glowing.. The demon looked at us intently for while before talking to us.

Demon ➡ It has been done… Now I take my leave..

After he said that, He went back inside the waves of fire behind him and shortly after, the fire shot up in the sky brightening the whole area as if the sun had came out and gradually the fire faded and soon everything was dark and quiet.

In that moment, We all stood still looking at each other as if we were seeing each other for the first time, then suddenly we heard noises behind our backs, as we turned around we saw the other groups and of course the witch council, The supreme witch was there with them as well… They were all outside the shield dome I made.. My family members were there as well, even my father, I looked at the faces of the council and saw them eyeing me with hate… I ignore them and rushed over to Riley to see if really he had been brought back to life.

As I went over to his place, I carried and placed him on my thighs, rubbing his head and calling his head softly.

Christen ➡ (softly) Riley.. Honey.. Come back to me please.. I’m here.

.

Everyone watched what was going, they were all silent, watching what would happen next, I kept cuddling and calling Riley’s name but he never answered or showed any of life.. I cuddled him tightly and began to cry quiet, Just when I thought the ritual didn’t work, I felt someone touching my cheek wiping my tear away, As I opened my eyes, I saw it was Riley,… He was looking at me with a smile.

Riley ➡ Why are you crying?

No one couldn’t explain how excited when I realized that Riley was alive, I cry harder but it wasn’t for sadness but for happiness. I hugged him tightly and then shared a passionate kiss ? with him, Everyone except the council and some of my family members shouted in joy when they saw Riley and I kissing…

But our happy moment was short lived when the council began to order their enforcers to break down the shield dome.. But The supreme witch made it easy for them when she dispelled the magic of dome, as soon as the shield was down, The enforcers rushed towards me and Riley but thankfully, they were intercepted by my friends and some family members among which was Aunt Jezebel and my father.. As the enforcers threw their magic spells at us, Aunt Jezebel absorbed their spells and threw it back them, the enforcers were hit hard and quickly retreated with their tails between their legs, as the council decided to get into the fray, the entire group that helped us search for Monife covered and stood between us and the council.. The council were taken aback.

C. W 1 ➡ What’s the meaning of this? Why are all of you supporting these traitors? Do you have any idea the crimes they’ve committed?

Esther ➡ Yes.. And we don’t care.. They’re are our friends.. So if you want them, you’ll have to go through us.. You may be powerful than us but you’re no match for us, we outnumbered 10 to 1.

C. W 2 ➡ Your eminence.. What are we to do? We can’t allow these two to go unpunished?

Orisaye (supreme witch) ➡ Step back.. Let me handle this..

The Supreme Witch stepped forward and looked at everyone and then finally she load her eyes upon me and Riley.

Orisaye ➡ You’re Riley aren’t you?… Didn’t I separate you two a year ago (10yrs). And if I remember correctly.. I erased his memory.. But now as I looked into his head, I see everything I erased is back… How is this possible?

Christen ➡ Fate!

Orisaye ➡ Fate?

.

Christen ➡ Yes.. I can’t explain it.. But Fate brought back together.. No matter what you do.. Fate will always bring us together.

Orisaye ➡ But rules are rules… You broke them.. And you must be punished.

Christen ➡ Maybe the rules should change.. Besides why are you so against Riley and I being together.. I know we can’t trust humans and I’m aware of the natural balance but if we can coexist with them, I see no reason why we should be together as one.

Christen ➡ You’re right but Riley fell in love with me even when he found out I was witch.. He stayed by my side and never for once left or had any doubts about me.. He even proposed to me on his own free will.. No magic was used.. I didn’t force him.. Even after facing impossible odds and seeing horrible things, he still stayed and even kept the secret of my existence to everyone he knew, Even my sister Rose that loathe humans, respects him for his guts… And he had risked his life some of us here without expecting in return.

As I was talking, Riley stood up and facing Orisaye boldly, He then told me to let him handle it from here.. I stood next to him and hear what he was going to do.

Riley ➡ Greetings Supreme witch.. I’m sorry you had to be bothered about our affairs but I’ll go straight to the point… There’s a question I want you and the council to answer… Have you ever fell in love?

You see love is a beautiful abstract.. It’s what keeping the world going without love, the world would just die.. Love is more beautiful when you meet the person you’re meant to be with, love isn’t just an affection, it’s a test, a test that will show how far you’re willing to go to stay with the person you’re emotionally linked with.

Orisaye ➡ What are you trying say?

Riley ➡ I fell in love with Christen ever since I laid my eyes on her.. She’s tried to kill me numerous times but still I don’t care.. I love her and I will continue loving her.. She’s been trying to push me away when I approached her but I finally won her heart over and we’ve been in love ever since.. When I found out she is a witch I was surprised, but that didn’t change my view about her, to me, she’s just that quiet snobby individual I fell in love with. Alot of difficulties came with my relationship with her but we both managed to scale through, I knew what I was in for when I knew I was dating a witch. As long she was in love with me the same I was with her, I didn’t care what obstacle came.. My biggest feat was going to hell.. I can’t believe I survived that, but, I thank God..

I know you people take your rules seriously but please.. Try to understand this..no woman can make my heart tingle like the way Christen does.. Not even Cleopatra.. She isn’t just some witch I’m dating.. She’s my woman, my soul mate, she’s my heart.. You may not understand what I’m saying but I’m sure some of the people around here knows what I’m talking about… Christen is the one I choose to be with.. She’s the one I want.. And in few days that might happen if you allow us to be.. She’s carrying our child.. Do you have any idea hoe happy I felt when I heard I was going to be a parent? Our baby isn’t an abomination.. You’ll have to wait and see how it turns out.. Please.. I beg you just this once.. Don’t split us apart please.

Riley went down on his knees before Orisaye, I was moved by his words, I couldn’t help myself but shed tears.. I too knelt down beside Riley holding his hands.. Orisaye looked down on us for a while before saying anything.

Orisaye ➡ (sighs).. I really don’t know what to say.. I gave two alternatives to choose and you made your choice and now.. (Sighs) I must I respect your resolve, despite the pressure, you stood on what you believed in.. Maybe Fate is involved in your affairs.. After all what’s meant to be will be.. But still rules are rules, so you’ll both have to be punished. Now here’s my verdict.

Everyone kept quiet to hear what Orisaye would say, Riley and I held hands tightly waiting and hoping her verdict would be merciful. Then about a while, Orisaye announced her verdict.

Orisaye ➡ Well, since I cannot separate you two, I will allow you to stay together, you can marry each other if you want.. And I’m happy for the both of you for soon becoming parents..

Council members ➡ Your eminence!!? This is outrageous..

Orisaye ➡ SILENCE!!!! I know what you’re all thinking, but I’m not changing the rule in their favour.. This is a reward for the both of them especially Riley.. You’ve risked your life so many times and you’ve been useful to us, and also you’ve proven that you can be trusted.. We’ve been watching you and I’m impressed to say that you haven’t for once told anyone about our existence.. So for your services, I will allow you to be with Christen.

Everyone was so happy when Orisaye made her verdict, especially Riley and I finally we can be together at last.. No need for us to hide or run.. We’re free to be together. But then, Orisaye wasn’t done with her verdict and this time it wasn’t pleasant.

Orisaye ➡ But… For disobeying the rules.. Especially you Christen.. I’ll have to punish you.. Since you’ve chosen to be with a human, your powers and your immortality will be stripped away from you for good.. From now on, you’ll be just like a human, you’ll age like humans and you’ll die like a human.. you’ll still have other abilities because its part of your biology, after all you’re a witch and as for you Riley.. We appreciate your secrecy but I’ll have to put a death seal on you in case you try to tell anyone about our existence.. That’s all.. Christen.. Step forward.

I left Riley’s side and went before Orisaye, She casted the #Trinity_seal on me blocking all my powers and then casted the drew a symbol on my back, it was a mark that showed I was no longer immortal. After that, Riley was called and the death seal was placed on him as well, the marking was imprinted on his chest like some sort of tattoo.

After we were both branded, Orisaye and the council members left and gradually so did the other groups.. Only a few of us remained in that forest…

After everything was quiet, Aunt Jezebel went over to Rose’s corpse and used her magic encasing it inside one huge crystal so it wouldn’t rot.

Aunt Jezebel ➡ I’ve seen strange things, but not like tonight.. Everything happened so fast.. I’m sorry for your lost brother.

Eli ➡ Thanks.. Besides, it was her choice and it was a noble one.. I hope she finds peace.

Aunt Jezebel ➡ So what now? Christen is finally with Riley..

Eli ➡ I have nothing to say.. She wants this and all I can do is support her…. I’m sure your mother would be happy to see this.

I watched as Riley and my father exchanged handshakes, finally My father had acknowledged him as his son in law. After that everyone left leaving the two of us alone. Riley who was worried about Orisaye’s decision asked if I was okay with it.

Riley ➡ Christen.. Are you alright with this? Are you sure this is what you want.. Your powers are..

.

I quickly cut him short by putting my finger on his lips.. I held his face and stared into his face .

Christen ➡ My powers are gone, and my immortality is gone too.. I know.. But they don’t matter.. You’re all I want and I’ll ever want.. I just want to be with you, I want to see and smell you ever time I wake up in bed next to you, I want to feel your warmth when I you cuddle me in bed, it’s you I want Riley..

My immortality doesn’t matter either.. I’m glad that we’ll now live our lives happily, we’ll see our kids and possibly our grandkids and we’ll grow old together and die together.. Besides.. I’m 210 years old.. I’ve lived long enough in this world already.. I love you.

Here I was in the church waiting on the altar close to the priest, Christen hadn’t yet showed up but there was still time, I stood nervously staring at the crowd, everyone had their eyes on me, on the right side was my family and friends and left side was Christen’s family and friends, I was surprised how well they blended in especially the ghouls and mermaids that were cannibals and crazy about human flesh.

Khalid who was my best man, saw how nervous I saw and calmed me down.

Riley ➡ I know.. It’s just that.. I can’t believe this is happening.

In that moment, everyone stood up and looked at the direction of Christen and her father,… My God! Never has there been such a finer woman.. The wedding down she was armless and there was a diamond embroidery all around it, her long lovely hair was stretched on her shoulders, her face and fair skin glowed as if she was an angel, she held one lovely flower in her hands , Everyone was captivated by her beauty, it took a while before they shifted their gaze away from her.

Gradually she and her father walked down the aisle slowly and majestically, Christen smiled staring at me, I looked back at her smiling as well, in that moment, I could remember the moment I first saw here, who would have thought that this day would come?

Finally, Christen and her father reached to where I was, I went over to them and collected Christen from her dad’s hands, she and I went over to the altar together.

After we both stood close to the priest, everyone stand down and thus the wedding began.

As the priest began the usual talk about everyone gathering and coming to this event, Christen and I began to stare lovingly into each others eyes, I was happy she didn’t like the idea of wearing a veil.. We were lost in each other’s gaze, that we didn’t hear the priest, it was Khalid that notified about the current situation.

Khalid ➡ Ahem.. Riley Pastor dey talk o.

Riley ➡ Oh.. Sorry. What is it?..

Pastor ➡ Wedding shock!.. Riley femi do you take Christen Eli to be your lawfully wedded wife, and do you promise to love, cherish and nurture her until death.

We had our wedding party at the church ⛪️, There was food, and music and a little bit of fun things.

Christen and I sat and watched as everyone were having fun, while everyone was busy eating to their fill, Christen watched with hunger in her eyes, she was in her pregnancy period, so she couldn’t eat the cake ? and other delicious delights. Gradually she soon got fed up with the noises in church and told me she wanted to leave the place.

Christen ➡ This place is driving me crazy..

Riley ➡ Relax.. It’s our wedding.. You should be happy.

Christen ➡ I know and I am happy.. But I want us to spend the time alone..let’s get out of here..

Riley ➡ Now?

Christen grabbed my hand and dragged me outside, as soon as we were outside where nobody else would see us, Christen teleported us out of the place. Seconds later, we found ourselves in an small island with a small house on it.. The island was beautiful and the beaches were clean and neat.

Riley ➡ What is this place?

Christen ➡ Our honeymoon suite.. (Laughs)

Riley ➡ It’s beautiful..

Christen ➡ I know it’s quiet, peaceful and best of all, private.. There’s nobody here to disturb us… Come here.

I went over to her and we kissed again romantically.. Then after that, we played on the sandy ? beaches, we sprayed water on each other, and rolled over on the sand.

About hours later, We sat close to each other on the beach staring at the horizon as the sun went down, the splashing of the waves ? was really a soothing and a sight to behold, Christen who’s head was on my shoulders cuddled up to me sitting on my thighs.

Christen ➡ Isn’t this beautiful?

Riley ➡ Yeah.. It is..

Christen ➡ (sighs) We’re having a girl.

Riley ➡ What?

Christen ➡ I said we’re having a girl child..

Suddenly, our lovely moment was interrupted by the sound of a cat ? as we turned around we saw a black tiny baby cat behind us.

Riley ➡ Who’s cat is this?

Christen ➡ It’s doesn’t matter.. It’s so cute.. Can we keep it.. Please?..

Riley ➡ Okay..

Christen ➡ Thanks love..

Christen stood up from me and took the car in her hands stroking it’s hair softly, I stared at the car wondering why it looked so familiar but before I could even remember where I saw it, Christen interrupted my thought.

Christen ➡ Honey.. Let’s get back inside.. It’s getting late.

.

Riley ➡ Okay..

.

I quickly stood up and went to Christen’s side, I picked her up in my arms and went into the house with her.

Greetings fans.. I hope you’ve all enjoyed the final Episode of this season’s #WITCHES_LUST… It’s a shame, Our dominant character Rose is gone and things won’t be the same now that Christen has lost her powers and immortality. But don’t fret.. This won’t be the end of WITCHES LUST, because the third and final season is in progress but it will take a while before it is posted..
