“Mmm. Okay. Do you want to come in?” Sasha asked him.

“Do you want me to come in?” He asked.

“It depends on you. You’re the one who’s mad at me”, she said to him.

“Hmm, I shouldn’t have stayed at mad you. I was just upset that you fought with her and that you threw your shoe at her. She got hurt in the process”.

“I understand that but you don’t know she was saying to me and the nerve she was striking. She accused of being the reason that my ex is dead. That’s really provoking and I’ll hit her again if she says that to me!”

“I think she was just being protective of me”.

“No. No matter what, as a human being, you don’t use people’s dead relations or friends to attack them. She wanted that fight, that was why she said what she said. It’s either that or she’s just a cold blooded b… human being!”

“Sasha. I came here to apologize but I would not appreciate you saying those things about my sister”.

“Oh but you appreciated her for when she said those really mean things to me. You know what, I’m not ready for this. I felt like crap because of you and I felt like I was so much in the wrong. But this time, it’s you and your family. First your mum makes my dad say mean things to my mum, then your sister says really provoking things to me and now you’re here to tell me this? If you didn’t come here to make peace, I suggest you leave”.

“Wait. What at all is wrong with you?”

“What’s wrong with me? There’s nothing wrong with me Ross. The only wrong is you not seeing that your sister was in the wrong for coming at me. I’ve accepted that I was wrong for fighting her and throwing my shoe at her. But she provoked me and I don’t think any human being would have been cool with that”.

“Fine. She’s wrong and I’ll address on that”.

“Okay”.

“But you’ll need to apologize too”.

“I’m not doing that. The only person I’m apologizing to is you”.

“Sasha, you hurt her”.

“She asked for it!”

“Fine. But if things continue like this. My family will never accept you”.

“I don’t care Ross. I’ve had enough family drama in my house and I’m not going to tolerate another family drama just because they’ve decided not to like me!”

“You don’t care? Fine. But I care”.

“Okay. Then you fix it. It’s not my job to do that!”

“Hmm. I’ve heard you”.

“Great. I’m going in now. You can come if you want to. I ordered pizza on my way”, she said to him.

“Hmm. Alright”, he said and he followed her.

“So are we together or nah. It’s really confusing you know”, she said, chuckling.

“We’re together. We may fight and all but it’s normal in every relationship”.

“Hmm. Okay”.

Sasha and Jennifer were in her office, going through talks reports when she Alicia rushed in.

“Sash! 911” she exclaimed and Sasha looked at her, confused.

“What’s that?” She asked and Jennifer laughed.

“That’s the code your friends use when there’s a fire on the mountain”.

“Huh? But I’ve never heard them say that”.

“Because the emergency always involves you”, Alicia said. “C’mon we need you now”.

“Okay. Jennifer make sure you go through everything and there should be no single mistake”.

“Ai ai captain”, she said and Sasha left the office.

“What’s so important that you had to interrupt me work”, Sasha said to her.

“Ralph’s ex girlfriend is at the visitor’s lounge with him and things look heated. Lilian is worried that he might still want her or that she might try to get him back.

“Oops! Where’s she?”

“She’s at the ladies”, Alicia said and they both went to the washroom.

When they got there, Lilian was pacing back and forth.

“Lilian, relax. Why are you getting yourself all worked up?” Sasha asked.

“We all know how much Ralph loved her and you should know better. You were cool with her and you guys always went on double dates”, Lilian said to her.

“Yeah but it’s all in the past and Ralph will never do that to you. He’s always had a thing for you but he suppressed it because he was dating”, Sasha said to her.

“How do you know that?” Lilian asked.

“Who doesn’t know that? Alicia you do right?” She asked, giving Alicia a signal.

“Yeah yeah. We all know that”.

“You two are lying to me!” Lilian said with frustration written all over her face.

“You know Ralph is never going to do that to you. He won’t leave you for her. He’ll never hurt you”, Alicia said to her.

“That’s the problem. I don’t want them to be so scared of hurting me that he wouldn’t be honest with me”.

“Hmm. I’m going to say hello to her and I’ll make sure things are set straight”, Sasha said and was about to leave.

“No, no Sasha. Don’t do that. That will put more pressure on him”.

“Lilian. You’ve fought for my love life several times. Allow me to do this for you”, she said and Lilian nodded and Sasha left.

When she arrived, she saw Ralph’s ex in tears, and she saw Ralph sitting by her, consoling her.

“Ooh is something wrong?” Sasha asked, startling them.

“Sasha hey”, she said to her as she wiped the tears off her face.

“Is everything okay?” Sasha asked.

“Yeah. I was just leaving”, she said, getting up.

“You sure you’re fine?”

“Yeah”, she said, walking towards the door.

“Okay. Ralph I was just coming to tell you that Lilian appreciated the gift you bought for her. Wow you’ve fallen so hard huh? Whoever thought that you two would end up together and be happy”, Sasha exclaimed and Ralph’s ex turned to look at them and she ran off.

“Sasha. Why did you say that?”

“Did she hear?” Sasha asked, grinning.

“Of course. But why did you do that? You’re hurting her the more”.

“I was just making sure that she knew she was out for good”.

“And you think I didn’t do that myself. Why do you think she was crying?”

“Well. It had to be done”.

“She was your friend, Sasha”.

“Oh please. I was cool with her because of you. Lilian is my friend and I’ll do anything to protect her”.

“Lilian doesn’t need any protection from her. I made it clear to her that I was with Lilian and that it’s solid. She broke down and I had to console her”.

“You still care about her?”

“Of course, we’ve dated for years. I still do but I care about Lilian more”.

“Mmm, you’ll have to cut her off though”.

“We’re just friends now. There’s no need for that”.

“If you don’t want drama, it’s best you cut her off”.

“I don’t know if that’s possible”.

“Hmmm. Don’t say I didn’t warn you”.

“Anyway. Are you cool to go for your next appointment alone?”

“Yeah. Of course. I don’t want you all missing work again”.

“Okay”.

Sasha went for her next appointment the following day and she thought she was fit to talk about Philip but when she started talking, so much memories popped up and she broke out in tears.

“Sasha. You don’t have to say everything now. I can get you a drink and we’ll talk about something else and then when you’re ready, we’ll continue”, the therapist said to her.

“No. I want to talk about Philip. I don’t know why God had to take him from me. Why???!”

“Hmm. We can’t answer that. It’s only God who knows what’s best and as it’s said, everything happens for a reason. I’m sure it was his time. And you’re not alone. Blessed as those who mourn for they shall be comforted. I think if you pray to God and ….wait, do you mind me talking about God?”

“I’m a Christian but right now, I don’t want to hear about him. He’s cost me so much”.

“Hmm. Okay. Though I’m a therapist, I believe that God is the number 1 therapist and…”

“Are you here to help me or talk about God?!” Sasha said, snapping.

“I’m sorry I was just…”

“You know what. This was a bad idea. You’re just one of those people who think they can woo their patients by talking about God and what not”.

“Sasha I only brought God inside because I realized that you’re a Christian and because you were accusing him of causing you pain and ….”.

Before she could end her statement, Sasha walked out. Her mind was clouded with pain and anger.

She decided to stop by a restaurant close to the click to eat.

She ordered for a ham burger and when she ate it, she spat it out.

“Can I get a waiter here?!” She exclaimed and one of the waiters approached her.

“What’s this. This taste like shit! Who’s the chef, he needs to be fired ASAP!” She exclaimed.

“I’m sorry ma. But this is what we’ve been serving to other customers”.

“Then their taste buds have a problem. Who’s the manager here, I need to speak with him or just get me the chef!!”

“I’m sorry ma’am but the manager isn’t here and the chef is busy. I don’t care!! I need to speak to someone and to get whoever served this poison to me fired!!”

“Ma’am I…”

“Now!!! “ she exclaimed and as she was arguing with the waiter, a gentle man approached her.

“What’s the problem?” He asked her.

“Who are you?”

“I’m the assistant chef, is there a problem”?

“Eat that crap and let me know what you think”.

“Excuse me?”

“You heard me?”

“I’m sorry. I can’t eat that”,

“Oh Lord. What was I thinking coming to a crappy place like this. I’m out of here and I’ll be back to get you all fired!” She exclaimed and she left the place.

She got to her car and broke down in tears. God, I’m such a wreck. What’s wrong with me? Why is this Philip thing affecting me so much. Why did you take him? Why?

As she was in her car, crying, she heard someone knock on her window and she looked out and saw the assistant chef standing there.
