Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 12

Philip was in his house with Sasha as they were cleaning up his house and dancing.

“Can your girl do this?” she said, swaying her hips and singing along to the song.

“Can your man do this?” he sang, using the sweeping brush as his mic stand.

“Well you’re my man, so yeah”, she said and they both laughed.

“Is that your own version?” He asked and she nodded, they continued with their cleaning/karaoke.

When they were done, they both went out of his house and jumped into the pool.

“There’s an insect in the water!” He exclaimed and she screamed and quickly swam to the exit and he burst out laughing.

“Phil!!! I’m going to get you!!” she yelled and she swam towards him. She tried to punch him but he kept ducking.

He lifted her and she wrapped her legs around him.

“You’re so pretty even you’re mad”, he said to her and she pouted her lips.

“I know”, she said to him and he laughed.

“I can’t wait to see our kids. Our daughter will be more beautiful”, he said to her and she giggled.

“Of course she has to be. She’ll be the be most beautiful girl ever to walk this planet”.

“And our son?”

“He’ll be so charming that Adam will shake in his boots”, she said and he laughed.

“You’re so funny”.

“I learnt from the best”, she said, pecking him on the lip.

“I love you so much Phil”, she said, as she pressed her forehead on his.

“I love you more babe”, he said to her, kissing her.

They made out in the pool and took it to the room.

When they were done getting into it, Sasha went to take her bath when she was done, she met Philip on the bed asleep.

“Phil!!” She said, waking him up. “You’ve got to bath. You stink”, she said to him but he was unresponsive.

“Babe, get up!” She said to him and he was still unresponsive.

“Phil!!!” She exclaimed and he wasn’t responding.

“Phil! This isn’t funny. Get up!” She exclaimed and he wasn’t responding.

“Oh my God!!” She said as she started to cry and she quickly took her phone and requested an ambulance.

When they arrived at the hospital and he was taken in, she was asked to wait outside.

Sasha was in distress and didn’t know what to do. She quickly called her parents and Ralph to inform them.

She was pacing back and forth screaming. She was crying uncontrollably and tried to pray. The nurses tried to calm her down but she didn’t listen to them.

As that was happening, the doctor came out with a sad look on his face.

“No, no, no!” She started to scream.

“I’m sorry but we lost him. It was a cardiac arrest”, the doctor said to her and she fainted.

“Girl watch it!!” Someone said honking the horn at her and she got back to herself. She was lost in her thoughts as she remembered when she lost Philip.

She quickly parked her car by the nearest car park and burst out in tears.

She cried out loud as everything hit her again.

She remembered his smiles, his laughs and how he could always calm her down when she was angry or worried.

She sat in her car crying for a very long time and then she drove to Ralph’s house.

When she arrived, she pressed the door bell and when he got the door, he was surprised to see her and was more surprised when she hugged him tightly and cried on him.

He hugged her back and allowed her to let it all out. After a while, she released her grip of him and he wiped her face.

“Do you want us to come in or you prefer we sit at the porch”?

“The porch”, she said and they both went to the porch and sat there.

“Do you want anything?” He asked.

“Just water”, she said in a croaky voice.

“Okay. I’ll be right back”, he said and he returned with water. She drank the water and was quiet for a while.

“What triggered this?” He asked her and she told him how Ross asking about her sex life, triggered everything because the last time she did it was the day Philip died.

“I understand”, he said, placing his hands on hers and squeezing it.

“I can’t believe that he just died like that. Right in front of me after a happy time. We were going to get married and have lovely kids and grow old together and death just snatched him from me!! Cardiac arrest?! He was so young to have that happen to him!” Sasha said in tears.

“He was under stress Sasha. Most athletes go through stress but I guess his own affected his heart more”.

“I don’t know why he didn’t tell me that he was sick or anything. He just ignored it and now he’s gone.”, she said, wiping her face with her tissue.

“He didn’t tell anyone Sash. We all found out the way you did”, he said and she cried out again. Ralph wrapped his hands around her and consoled her.

“You’d have to see a therapist Sash. You’ve not healed. You just keep burying it within you. And if you don’t heal, you won’t be able to move on”, Ralph said to her.

“I will but I’m not ready to talk about it with anyone”.

“If you want, we could go together and I will just be there to support”.

“Hmmm. I’ll think about it”, she said to him and he nodded.

After a long while, she took her leave.

Sasha was on her way out when she saw her sisters leaning on her mother’s bedroom door with their ears glued to it.

“What are you two doing?” She asked as she approached them.

“Sshhhhh”, Sally said to her.

“What’s going on?” Sasha asked, confused.

“Mom is on the phone with a man and he’s really laughing out loud. I think she’s seeing someone”, Samantha said and Sasha smiled.

“Really?” She asked and she placed her ears on the door too. When she placed hers the door shook.

“Sasha. You’ve spoilt everything”, Sally said to her.

“Who’s there?” Ann asked and they all ran off.

Ann got out and looked around and she didn’t see anything.

They all ran to Sasha’s room and they rejoiced by doing a funny dance and giving themselves a high five.

“Mum has got a boyfriend”, they sang as they danced.

“Finally”, Samantha said, jumping.

“Now, she can back off me”, Sally said and they both rolled their eyes at her.

“You make everything about you”, Sasha said to her and she rolled her eyes.

“But how sure are you two? What was the nature of their conversation and what did she say?”

“His name is Andre, she kept mentioning his name each time she laughed. And she was acting like a child whiles talking to him”, Samantha said to her.

“Wow. Finally”, Sasha said, smiling.

“I just pray he’s hot though. Mom’s too hot to date just anyone and I hope he is richer than her and dad of course”, Sally said and they all laughed.

“What’s more important is that he doesn’t have a crazy ex wife or crazy kids like Sally”, Samantha said, laughing.

“You’re right. But if he does, we’ll handle it! Who’s with me?” Sasha asked lifting her hands and they gave her a high five.

“Sally, you have to get to work and find out everything there is to know about this man. We don’t want mum to be blind sided”.

“Ai ai captain”, she said she left the room.

“Sasha. Since you’re in a good mood. Please let’s talk about my friend who wants to do the internship”, she said to her.

“He’s in. He can come whenever he wants”.

“Really?”

“Yes!”

“Just like that?”

“Do you want me to change my mind?”

“No no. I’m good”.

“Alright. I’m on my way out. Monitor Sally and make sure she doesn’t over step her bounds with the investigation”.

“Sure”, she said and she left.

Sasha touched up on her makeup and also left the house.

She was on her way to Ross’ house to apologize to him for how she left him.
