Ann was in her room, crying when Sasha walked in.

“Mum things went so bad with Ross and ….mum, are you crying ?!” She said, quickly rushing to her bed side. She sat by her and wrapped her hands around her.

“Mum, why are you crying?” she asked and her mum ignored her and continued to cry.

“Does this have anything to do with dad? I’ve never seen you cry unless it has something to do with him. Mum is it him?” She asked and she nodded.

“What happened?”

“He called me and said a lot of mean things to me and he said he doesn’t want to have anything to do with me again”.

“What? Why will he do that? Is it because of his girlfriend?!”

“She ended things with him and he’s saying it’s my fault that I told her that he still wants me. But I never did anything like that and he didn’t even bother to hear me out”.

“Hmm. I think I know who’s responsible for this”, she said, getting off the bed.

“Where are you going to Sasha?”

“To put the person behind this on blast!”

“Who?”

“Ross! Her son”

“How did he find out ?”

“We got into an argument and I ended up saying it and I wasn’t expecting him to go and blab to his mum”.

“Sasha, he has every right to tell his mum. Just let it go”.

“Then I’m going to dad’s place”.

“Sasha! Stop it. I just need someone by my side now and not someone fighting for me”, she said and Sasha went back to the bed side and sat by her.

“I’m sorry mum”.

“It’s fine. Promise me one thing”.

“What?”

“Don’t let this whole thing ruin things with you and Ross”.

“I think it’s too late for that now”.

“Don’t tell me you’ve broken up with him”.

“We’re not dating officially so it’s not a break up”.

“Sasha!!! No, you really like him. Don’t end things like that”.

“Okay”.

“Promise me!”

“I promise”.

They talked for a while and Sasha went back to her room to get ready for work.

Jenny and some of the workers were in her office making preparations for the dinner when Ralph walked in.

“Hey Jenny can I talk to you for a sec?” Ralph asked her.

“Sure”, she said, stepping out of her office.

“Can you add me to my friend’s table or any other person’s table?”

“We’ve already made arrangements for a table for two for you and your girlfriend”.

“We broke up last night. I don’t think it’ll be necessary to do that”.

“Oh I’m sorry that happened but it’s unfortunate that we can’t do anything about the arrangements. It’s been fixed”.

“So I’ll just have to sit alone?”

“I can get someone to join you. Maybe Lilian”.

“Why Lilian?”

“You two are close so I’m sure she wouldn’t mind sitting with you”.

“Alright”, he said, smiling and he walked out.

An angry Lilian barged into Jenny’s office.

“Jenny why did I just receive an email that my sitting arrangements have been changed and why am I sitting with Ralph?”

“Woah. I didn’t know that it was going to be a big deal. You two are close why is it such a big deal to the two of you”?

“What do you mean by the two of us”?

“He had this same face when I told him that you’ll be at his table”.

“Of course he should. He has a girlfriend!”

“He hasn’t told you yet?”

“Told me what?”

“That he broke up with his girlfriend last night”, Jennifer said to her and she was shocked.

“I’ll be right back!” She said, rushing to Alicia’s office and pulling her to Sasha’s office.

“What’s going on?” Sasha asked.

“Ralph has broken up with her”! She exclaimed.

“Yeah, he told me”, Alicia said to her.

“What happened?” Sasha asked.

“He didn’t go into details just that they fought and it was huge and they thought that it was best to go their separate ways”.

“Ohh that’s sad. I got to cancel the dinner”, Sasha said to them.

“What? Why?”

“Because he’s going to feel weird being alone at his table”.

“Aww that’s cute but no! I’ve got a hot date and I need him to come for this dinner to rub it in Mark’s face”.

“Oou, I can’t wait to see him and the look on Mark’s face”, Sasha said wiggling her brows. “But what do we do about Ralph? He can’t sit alone”.

“It’s been taken care of. Jenny changed my sitting arrangements. I’ll be sitting at his table”, Lilian said to her.

“Mmm, we hope you two don’t fight this time”, Alicia said, smirking at her.

“I wonder what makes you two fight so much?” Sasha said to her with a questioning look.

“Mmm we all wonder”, Alicia said, grinning.

“Anyway. Is Ross coming?” Lilian said, wiggling her brows and Sasha looked away.

“Mmm, trouble in paradise already?” Alicia asked.

“Don’t say that”, Lilian said, hitting Alicia in the shoulder.

“We had a huge fight yesterday and I don’t know how he’ll react to me inviting him for the dinner”, Sasha said.

“Sasha. Please don’t ruin this. Just call him and you two can settle whatever the fight was about and then you invite him”, Lilian said to her.

“I don’t know, I’m just…”

“Hi”, Ross said, interrupting them and they were all caught by surprise.

“Hi, we were just leaving”, Lilian said and they both left.

“Hi”, Sasha said to him.

“May I sit?” He asked and she nodded.

“I’m sorry for how things escalated yesterday”, Ross said to her.

“No, I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have lashed out at you. I keep doing that and I don’t know what’s wrong with me”, Sasha said to him.

“I came at you hard. I triggered it”.

“Hmm, it still doesn’t give me the right to lash out like that”.

“True. But we’ll work on that”.

“We?” She asked, smiling.

“Yeah and just so you know our parents are not getting married”.

“Mmm, you seem to be happy about it after pulling the moral card yesterday”, she said, rolling her eyes.

“It was quite difficult to tell my mum everything but I just had to do it and it resulted in her backing out”.

“Hmm, I see”.

“Yeah”.

“Uhm we have a dinner tonight”.

“Yeah. The work dinner”.

“How do you know about it?”

“Are you that forgetful?”

“Huh?”

“Remember Lilian invited me yesterday when you thought that we were pretending to like each other”.

“Yeah yeah. So you coming?”

“With Lilian? Yeah”, he said, chuckling and she laughed.

“Will you come with me?”

“Are you asking me out on date?” He asked, wiggling his brows.

“Yes Ross. I am”.

“Ugh. That sounded nice to hear. I’ll be there. What time should I pick you up?” He asked.

“7pm. She said and he nodded”.

“See you then and have a nice day”, he said and was about to walk out and she cleared her throat.

“No hug?” She asked, getting up on her feet.

“I thought you’d never ask”, he said and he walked up to her, hugged her and kissed her on the cheek.

“Bye Sasha”.

“Bye Ross”, she said blushing and he left.
