I’m finally glad that Riley passed that test, now we can finally be together just like we’re meant to be.. Now that everything has been settled, I can’t wait for him to get back so we can fully the custom which is to make love for 3 days and nights..

I waited patiently in my bedroom for Riley’s return but there was no sign of him, Hours passed and he hasn’t still returned back to me, and that was when I started getting worried..

At about 12:00 pm midnight, Riley returned, I was relieved to see he was okay, As he entered the bedroom, I saw his mood was tense.

Christen Darling are you alright?

Fake Riley Yeah..

Christen Alright come on then.. Come let’s make love huh?..

Fake Riley God! Leave me alone woman.. Can’t you see I’m exhausted?

I was taken aback by his outbursts.. He should have just said that in the first place, why shouting at me?

Christen What is wrong with you? Why are you shouting at me?

Fake Riley Don’t disturb me woman.. I’m going to sleep..

Riley hissed at me and laid down on the bed, I was shocked by his behavior.. What has come over him?

I quietly laid down next to him feeling a bit worried.. What was happening?? Was he still mad about the test he took? I thought he had left this house in a joyful mood but now he’s all grumpy and annoyed. After a while, I slept off.

The next morning, I woke up feeling a slight headache, and I was a bit hungry.. I sat up expecting to see honey and milk waiting for me at the top of my drawer but there was nothing there.. I looked by my side and saw Riley wasn’t there.. I left the room and went to the living room to see if Riley was there, the moment I got there, I saw him already dressed and he was trying to wear his shoe.

Christen Good morning honey.

Fake Riley Morning.

Christen Uhm. I’m hungry.

Fake Riley So???

Christen I didn’t see my honey and milk.. Which you always serve for me before I wake up from sleep.

Fake Look, I haven’t got time for that.. Do your itself.. Besides I’m late for my trip.

Christen What trip?

Riley Its none of your business…

Christen Why are you being so hostile towards me? What’s gotten into you?

Riley Look I don’t have your time okay.. I’m late for my business trip.. If you need anything, you can do it yourself, after all you’re a witch.

I felt angered by his words… Why was Riley doing this to me.. I was hoping we could talk about last night but now, I just don’t even know what to do.. After he was done wearing his shoe.. He made his way to the door.

Christen So when will you be back?

Fake Riley I don’t know.. I’ll be away for quite some time.

Christen Okay… Safe trip..

Fake Riley Yeah whatever.

He walked out of the house and slammed the door, The sound of the door made me twitch.. I sat down on the sofa feeling sad.. Just what has come over Riley? He has never behaved this way to me before why was he doing this now? Besides if it were Monife I would have known by now, her weakness is her lust for me, If she were in disguise, that weakness of hers would have blown her cover.

After a while, I took my bath, ate breakfast (milk and honey) and after that, I gathered my Grandma’s spell books to read.

The spell books were quite interesting, they kept me company wherever I was alone, So far I’ve read almost all of them, I’ve read books about the different class of witches and their abilities, among those abilities there was one that amazed me and the magic ability was known as the #INFINITY.

According to what I read, witches or wizards that possess this ability are the most powerful of all witches, even the supreme Witch. This magic ability was rare but the funny thing is, no witch or wizard ever possessed this kind of ability.. In fact nobody knew how the magic works … After that, I also read books about demons, spells and realms that were invisible to the human eyes and world like our own world. Whenever I read this books I felt fascinated by them, I even took my time to learn some spells… I couldn’t possibly learn all of them cause each witch and wizard has his or her own magic ability, Like mine for instance, my magic ability gave me the power to manipulate and bend Nature at will, so I used my time and perfected my magic…. Since my Grandma’s house was in the middle of a forest, It gave me room to practice my magic there…. Among the spells I mastered are :

a) The ability to make thick and blinding mist.. Mists are very handy especially in the forests if you’re hiding from someone.

b) Another spell I perfected on was Wind manipulation, not only did I learn making monstrous wind waves but I also learned to extract air from a living being but I never tested it on any one yet.

c) Another spell I least was communication with trees, it may seem crazy but trees are quite handy when it comes information, People especially humans may think trees are just some sap but they’re actually see and hear everything that is happening, sometimes when I’m not reading my book spells, I come out and communicate with them.

d) Another spell I learnt was the Chameleon Ability .. Don’t get confused about this ability, it’s similar to Monife’s magic but it’s not the same.. While her magic grants her the ability to transform into living and nonliving objects, This magic of mine allows me to blend into anything that I touch like the way a chameleon does.

e) And the final spell I mastered was the Resurrection spell .. This spell could be used by any witch or wizard as long as their magic power is strong.

The spell is very dangerous and risky, for the spell to work, you have to give up something that you care about. The reason why I learnt this magic was because of the dreams I had about Riley being killed.. I don’t want that to happen, I’ve thought for a very long time what I would give up if something like this was to happen, I finally concluded to give up my powers or my immortality, It doesn’t matter if I lose both, besides there’s nothing wrong in being normal like a human and to be honest spending 200 yrs in this world is definitely a long time, I don’t care if I die, because everyone will die eventually when their comes.

I sure had a good time reading these books but as time went on, I soon got bored of them completely.

For 12 days now, I’ve been alone in the house, I haven’t heard from Riley since he traveled to his business trip.. I’ve tried contacting him but he was unreachable… So I used my time and spent with my family…. So far, I’ve been laying low since Rose told us about the council and they too haven’t made any attempt yet.. A lot has been quiet lately, ever since Rose massacred the members of the C.O.C, no uprising has been heard, in fact even the so called Trinity of sin were no longer sighted…

So one Sunday evening at around 10:00 pm , I decided to go out and visit Riley’s mom to see if she heard any news from Riley, I teleported myself to her house, as soon as I landed in front of her door., I knocked and when in.. She was busy reading her bible when I walked in.

Christen Good evening ma.

Sara Ah Christen,… Iyanu obinrin… Please come in… Have a seat.

I walked towards her place and sat next to her, She gave me a hug and began to touch my stomach.

Sara Christen.. My dear it’s so good to see you.. I see my son is taking care of you.. You look so lovely.

Christen Thank you ma…. (Sighs)

Sara What is it my dear? Is something wrong?

Christen Ma.. It’s been 12 days since Riley left for a business trip, he hasn’t for once tried to contact me.. I’m worried. I came here to ask you if he’s called you.

Sara Wait o… You mean Riley isn’t with you.. I thought he was with you.. In fact we haven’t met since the night we celebrated your pregnancy.

Christen What???

Sara I’m serious.. He hasn’t told me about this business meeting of his.. This is news to me.

I was baffled after I heard that.. If Riley didn’t call his mom.. Then… Oh what is going on? Something isn’t right..

Sara Christen.. Is everything okay? You look confused..

Christen No.. I’m just surprised.. I just want to know if he’s okay…

Sara Don’t worry.. I’ll try to call his brother to see I’d they’ve contacted each other.. Besides you should be resting and relaxing.. Don’t stress yourself.

Christen It’s alright ma.. I’ll be fine. Alright.. I need to go home.. Good night.

Sara Good night my dear..

After that, I left the house and teleported myself to the hangout.. As soon as I got there, I met with my cousins and BFF Esther at the place, I went over to them and sat in between them, when they saw how worried I was, They asked if I was alright.

Judith Christen.. What’s wrong?

Bimpe Did you have a fight with your Riley?.

Esther Enough.. Christen.. Why are you so glum?

I told that everything that happened a while ago at Mrs. Sara’s house, after I was done Simi slammed her hand and blurted out.

Simi I knew it.. It was only a matter of time.

Judith What are you talking about?

Simi Is it obvious? There’s this trait in humans you see.. When a woman gets pregnant, the man tends to avoid her until after she gives birth.

Christen Don’t be ridiculous.. During the early weeks of my pregnancy Riley never avoided me.. He’s always there whenever I needed him.

Simi Well then, why is he acting strangely now.. It’s either he’s getting tired of you or he’s probably seeing another woman.

Judith Simi.. It’s cruel of you to say that.. Riley wouldn’t do such a thing, he cares about Christen.

Simi Oh please.. If be really cares about our cousin here, then why hasn’t he told her about the trip until the last minute and why hasn’t he called to check on her? All humans are rotten whether good or bad, eventually when you get to know them, you begin to see their true colors.

I felt immensely disturbed by what Simi said… Could it be possible Riley doesn’t want anything to do with me? Or is he really seeing another woman…. I swear I won’t forgive him if he is indeed seeing another woman.. In that moment, I felt dizzy and a lump in my throat, I teleported myself outside and vomited under a nearby a tree, Esther and my cousins followed me outside to check on me. After I was done vomiting, I broke down and began to cry.

Esther It’s alright Christen… I’m sure there’s a reason why Riley hasn’t called.

Judith See what your big mouth has caused now.

Simi What?? I only said that truth..

Bimpe Allow her to cry. Let her emotions flow.

Christen It doesn’t matter what Reason it is.. I’m carrying his baby.. He should have at least texted me to see if I was okay.. Just because I’m a witch doesn’t mean I’ll be fine. I don’t think he loves me anymore.

Jenny Don’t say that..

I turned around to see who was talking, It was a young teenage mermaid.. She’s really pretty and attractive in all direction.. Though I and the rest were surprised by her sudden interruption.

Christen Excuse me?

Jenny Sorry.. I didn’t mean to intrude.. I couldn’t help but overhear your conversation about Riley..

Simi So?? Who are you and how do you know him? Are you his side chick?

Esther No… Her name is jenny…

Bimpe So jenny how do you know about Riley.

The adorable thing told us about what Riley did for her, I was alarmed when I heard he got injured while trying to help her.. What was he even thinking? What makes him think he can come toe to toe with beings lime us?

After she was done, Jenny went on ahead and told me about Riley’s good points.

Jenny I don’t know what is going on here but I can tell you this.. Riley loves you.. He could have cheated on you if he wanted but he didn’t.. If there’s anything he cares or values more than anything, it’s you.

Christen Thanks but.. His mom is what he values most.. Believe me, I know.

Jenny So what’s going on? Do you two have a fight?

Simi See me see wahala o.. Girl.. Wetin concern you? Abeg go.. As you can see there aren’t your mates here.

Christen Come on Simi.. Don’t be mean to the girl..

As we were talking, my brother appeared right next to us, He seemed a little bit agitated and the look on his face wasn’t good at all.

Oliver Christen! You have to come with me now.

Christen Why? What’s wrong?

Oliver There’s no time to escape.. Oh what the hell…

Oliver whispered some spell and teleported me and the others to his guild. As soon as we popped there, We saw Rose and Monife.. Rose had a mean serious look on her face and while Monife looked a little bit rough like she had gone through some kind of fight.

Christen Oliver! What is going on?.

Rose Christen! Do you know where Riley is?.

Christen No.. He’s been gone for 12 days now on a business trip..

Rose I see.. Has he called you or texted you?

Christen No..

Rose (laughs) Oh Riley… You’re so dead.

Christen What is that supposed to mean?

Rose Oliver! Tell her. Everything from the beginning.

I felt agitated when I heard Rose threatened to kill Riley.. What was going on? I looked at Oliver waiting for him to tell me everything, He looked at me with pity and shook his head.

Oliver Christen.. Riley has betrayed us.. He has gone rogue.

Christen W-W-W-W.. What are you talking about? I don’t understand.

Oliver Earlier this evening, There was a commotion somewhere in Ibadan, the people in that area were fighting with one another brutally,.. Christen.. The trinity of sin is still active and it has merged into one..

Christen Merged into one?

Oliver Yes.. They’re no longer different entities.. And another case arose shortly after that, 200 young women were kidnapped, no traces were found.. Satania is still on the move and she’s not alone.. Riley is now her accomplice.

As soon as I heard that, My heart skipped a beat, I feel immense dizziness that I knelt down.. Esther and Judith rushed to my side trying to help me up… I couldn’t believe it.. Riley is now collaborating with Satania?? I don’t believe it.. It can’t be.. Why would he do that? And for what? What would he gain by doing that?

Christen I don’t believe you.. My Riley would never do this.. He can’t.

Rose Well.. He has now.

Christen Who told you this lies?
