The Despised Wife - S01 E32

Read Story: SEASON 1 EPISODE 32

Start from the beginning  Minnie began to drool while babbling to William, so I took the towel off my shoulders and stepped forward, wiping the drool off slowly. She tried to put the towel in her mouth and I laughed softly before moving it away. I gave her her pacifier and she s----d on it while playing with the string on William’s sweatshirt. I felt someone’s gaze burning through my head and I moved my gaze upward slowly. William was staring at me with an indescribable emotion in his eyes. He gave me a small smile on and I returned it. We stood there staring into each others eyes intensely and William began to lean in, when a loud cry broke our gaze. I spun around to see Mickey wailing. I walked back to the crib and picked him up, murmuring into his ear to comfort him. Mickey stopped crying and looked at me with those tear-filled gray eyes that made my heart melt once again. I wiped his tears and he babbled something quietly before turned slightly, cuddling into my chest. I chuckled as he went back to sleep, snoring quietly. “Uh, Heather. I think Minnie peed on me.” William said anxiously. I looked up, and sure enough, Minnie had peed on William’s white sweatshirt. William was staring wide- eyed down at Minnie, who just grabbed William’s nose and pulled it, giggling. I laughed and put Mickey back into his crib carefully. I went over to them and took Minnie. “Why do you always pee on the men Minnie?” I laughed.

She giggled. I looked at William, who was frowning down at his wet sweatshirt and jeans. “Go to the ensuite and shower. I’ll put your clothes in the laundry and bring you some different ones.” He nodded and went into the bathroom. I put Minnie in her crib, after cleaning her up and gave her a toy monkey so she could distract herself while I get William’s clothes. I walked out of the room and down the hallway to room 6. This was an empty room, and it was usually where Alex stayed when he slept over. I grabbed a pair of black sweatpants and a white muscle tee from a drawer and headed back to the room. I knocked on the bathroom door, and quickly put the clothes by the sink before closing the door again. Now, it was time to give Minnie her bottle so I made her bottle and put it on the top of the dresser. “Are you hungry sweetie?” I asked her. Minnie smiled and drooled some more on the monkey’s head. I laughed, picking her up and sitting on the rocking chair. As I rocked her, she drank her milk slowly, stopping to grin time to time. William came out in the sweatpants and muscle tee. He turned and frowned at me. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “Why do you have mens clothes?” “Those are Alex’s.” “Oh, um, right.” He said lamely, scratching the back of his neck. I rolled my eyes and looked back down at Minnie. She fell asleep after drinking her milk and I shook my head, smiling at the sound of her snores. I put her back in her crib and turned to Mickey, who was starting to shuffle around in his sleep. Suddenly, he began crying and William immediately began to rock him in his arms, before I could even react. Mickey quieted down and stared at William, while s-----g his thumb. William grinned down at him. “You hungry little man?” William asked him. Mickey kicked his legs excitedly and William chuckled. I handed him the second bottle that I made, and William held the bottle while Mickey drank quickly. All of a sudden, the door opened and a little baby girl walked into the room. “Mama!” she cried. William stared at her bewildered. “Cassy!” I outstretched my arms and she hugged me tightly. Cassy was also abandoned as a baby at 6-months. Hillary found her in an alley and brought her back here. Cassy is one-years old and is one of the cutest kids I’ve ever met. She has black hair and round, charcoal- colored eyes. “Did she just call you mama?” William frowned, as he put Mickey back in his crib. I nodded, “She has called me that since she learned to talk, and I never had the heart to correct her. It’s the way she recognizes me, besides she’s like my daughter. All of the kids here are like my kids or younger siblings.” William nodded, looking deep in thought. I turned back to Cassy, who was staring at William. I sat down, and Cassy sat on my lap. “Cassy sweetie, can you say hi?” I cooed down at her. She stood up shakily and waddled over to William, “Dada.” She held her arms out for William to carry her. William stared at her in shock before kneeling in front of her. He took her into his arms and stood up. “Hey there, sweetheart.” William kissed her cheek. Cassy wrapped her tiny arms around his neck and nuzzled her head into his shoulder. “I swear, I’m going soft after just 1 hour with these kids.” he mumbled, cuddling Cassy. I grinned, “Trust me, you’ll get really soft after a couple more hours here, once you meet the rest of them.

They are such sweethearts.” He grinned back, “I’m looking forward to it.” I stood up, made sure the walkie-talkies were on, and motioned to William that we should let the twins sleep. He nodded and we walked out. I closed the door softly, and we headed upstairs to the playroom to check on the rest of them.
