I walked into the living room and stopped at the sight. William was with a business associate talking about some deal. But the part that stopped me, was the man William was talking to. “Uncle Smith?”, I called in shock. Both of them turned to look at me.

William’s face was annoyed and confused, while Mr. Smith’s face was shocked which soon turned into a huge grin. I ran toward Mr. Smith and hugged him tight as he twirled me around laughing. “Uncle Smith, how are you?”, I exclaimed, excited to see my old neighbor. “I’m fine and how about you Booboo?”, He asked, referring to his old nickname for me. “I’m great now that I’ve seen you again”, I reply wrapping myself around him in a bear hug again. Uncle Smith was my old neighbor. I’ve know him since I was born. I was super close to him until I had to move out to California for my dad’s business. Uncle Smith was practically my father, since he supported me so much as a child. He is also a great businessman, and is know to the media as ruthless and cold. Of course, you had to get to know him to find out he was a warm, fuzzy teddy bear. I pulled back to look over his features.

His dark blonde hair had grey streaks in it and his hazel eyes had more wrinkles around them. But other than that, he was the same Uncle Smith I knew as a child. “Booboo, you are so beautiful now, I still remember the little girl with pigtails and several bandages covering her legs.”, he said smiling fondly at the memory. I laughed as I thought about my childhood. The nickname Booboo came from how I was prone to injuries. I basically couldn’t go a day without hurting myself in one way or another. So I ended up having several bandages on my legs. “Now what are you doing here?”, I asked him. “Well, I was closing a deal here with William, but what are you doing here?”, he asked in turn. “Well,”, I dragged out the word, “I sort of live here.”, I said sheepishly. Uncle Smith’s face immediately became shocked as he stared at me. “Wait a second, you were the one who married William?”, he asked trying to understand. “Yes.”, I replied blushing slightly. Uncle Smith turned to look at William, who I totally forgot was in the room with us. He was still staring at us confused, probably wondering how I knew the Jacob Smith. “William, if you had told me before that you had married my little Heather, I would have given you the deal in a heartbeat.”, Uncle Smith said smiling down at me. William replied, ” I was not aware that my wife had connections with you, sir.

If she had told me, we might have been able to close this deal earlier.” He glared at me like I purposely didn’t tell him I knew Uncle Smith. “Okay then, I must get going now, but Booboo you must come visit my house soon.”, Uncle Smith said kissing my forehead. He turned and waved as he walked out the door. William turned to look at me and he sneered as he said, “So did you sleep with him and how much money did you get from him?” I stared at him shocked. My violet eyes were the size of golfballs. I felt anger course through my veins and so I slapped him right across the face. “How could you say such a thing!”, I yelled at him. He slowly turned his face back to me. “Mr. Smith is like a father too me, do you honestly think so badly of me that I would sleep with someone for money?”, I whispered.

I was hurt by his assumptions and angry that he thought I was a gold-digger. I could see guilt and remorse in his eyes as my eyes welled with unshed tears.I shook my head at him and walked out of the living room and upstairs to my room. William and I didn’t share a room. I walked into the on suite and stared into the mirror. I looked at the girl with bright violet eyes and black hair.

The glow in them was slightly dim from my tears, but as I studied myself, I thought about all those times I believed I wasn’t good enough. “I’m stronger than this.”, I thought, “I am just going to ignore William like I always have and move on. It doesn’t matter what he thinks or believes about me. He isn’t worth my tears. ” I smiled at myself in the mirror as those thoughts ran through my head. I am so much stronger. If William wants a war, he will get one. But until then, he is getting the silent treatment. I walked out of the bathroom and turned on my iHome.

Once the music started playing, I hopped onto the bed and started jumping up and down like a little kid. “WHAT DOESN’T KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER!”, I belted out at the top of my lungs, as one of my favorite songs, Stronger by Kelly Clarkson, started playing. As the song ended, Home by Michael Bublé began playing. I stopped jumping and just lay there on my bed. Soon, the soothing song put me into a deep slumber, and I forgot all about today. William’s POV I watched as Heather dashed from the room after staring at me with hurt in her vibrant violet eyes. I admit I was feeling guilty about what I said. However, whatever I said was a minimum to what Heather did. She ruined my life. I didn’t want to get married. She just had to go tell her parents she wanted to marry me. My friends told me all about her and how she is just a b---h with an angel cover. I’m going to ruin her life for ruining mine. This is WAR. You better watch out, Heather Alice Montgomery. You’ll regret forcing me into marriage.

With that thought, I left the living room and went upstairs to my bedroom. I sat down at my oak desk and began to work on a new business deal.
