Escaping and getting out of Marida sure wasn’t easy, considering my condition but thanks to Jasmine’s medicine, I was able to feel a whole lot better, Thanks to Frahan we were both able to sneak out of Marida right under the noses of the guards keeping a look out for me and Jasmine.. Both Jasmine and I disguised ourselves as slaves of Al-muktar escorting Al-muktar’s merchandize out of the city… Even as we escaped out of Marida , we didn’t come off our disguises because we were still in Marida’s territory and we had to be careful of guards or assassins.

By night fall, we reached a small village outside Marida, it was like a boarder or a welcome sign into the provinces of Marida, Immediately, Al-Muktar’s caravan stopped there to rest for the night, Jasmine and I snuck out quietly and parted ways with Frahan,…… We bade well to each other, probably for the last time.

Frahan Farewell Sadiq… I hope this venture turns out well for you.

Sadiq Thank you my friend… I wish I could repay you for what you’ve done for us.. Risking the safety for your job and life.

Frahan it was nothing… You would have done the same for me… So looks like this is it.. I hope you find a place in Nishkapur.. If the gods will it, I may come visit sometime.

After that, we parted and went our separate ways, Luckily for us we were able to steal two horses, some water and food supply to sustain ourselves during the journey..

Jasmine and I rode into the night, The desert was quiet and still, only the breath of our horses and the galloping of their hoofs could be heard.. We rode fast for some time before we decided to take a rest, Especially Jasmine who wasn’t used to long distance horse riding..

As we took our rest, we brought some tents in case of sandstorms , we spread them and slept in them… Jasmine and I hadn’t spoke since we began this journey.. She was still mad at me for what I said to her at the palace, I wanted to talk to her but she wasn’t giving me the chance to.. It’s hard keeping quiet without saying anything..

The next morning, we continued our journey riding straight towards our destination.. We didn’t even go far when Jasmine said she was tired and wanted to take a rest.

Jasmine Let’s stop Sadiq.. My behind aches and my waist hurts..

Sadiq What?? But we haven’t rode that fast… Can’t you endure?

Jasmine Listen up brute… I’m a princess and a woman, while you are a man and a warrior prince.. There’s a whole lot different in our stamina and endurances.. All my life, I’ve lived in comfort not stress and I may be good in horse riding but my feminine features can’t handle long rides..

Sadiq Listen up you spoiled head, We won’t reach Nishkapur in time, if you continue doing this… If you want to get home.. You might as well endurance the hardships that comes your way..

Jasmine No.. I need to rest.. Its my way or nothing..

Sadiq Is that so? It’s either my way or you can get to Nishkapur yourself, without me you’ll definitely get lost in this desert.

Jasmine Oh… Fine then.. You can go.. Go if you like.. I don’t need you.. You made that clear back at the palace.

Sadiq You’re still angry about what I said.. Why don’t you understand, that I did that to protect you?? Why?

Jasmine Protect me? Oh please.. All you ever cared about was protecting the throne… Not me.. Seeing that I was a bother to you, you decided to show your true self..

Sadiq You know what… You’re selfish and ungrateful… After everything I’ve done for you, you’d still think that I’m wicked? If I hadn’t shown up at the house to save you… You’d be dead now like a cockroach or be sold to become a concubine to some rich womanizer..

Jasmine I HATE YOU!!! WHY DID I EVER GET STUCK WITH YOU IN THE FIRST PLACE? I should have left you dead back at the palace.

After that we both were quiet.. Jasmine climbed on her horse and rode off into the desert… I stood watching where in the world she was going!

I climbed on my horse and followed her, I wouldn’t have followed her if I wanted but I made her a promise to take her back and besides I have to follow her so she wouldn’t get into trouble, After all she’s a woman and women are sure very hard to please.

I followed her at a safe distance to as to avoid any unnecessary talks between us… As I was following her, Jasmine suddenly increased her pace and rode the horse faster increasing her speed… I followed her increasing my speed at well, Just before I could get closer to her, I spotted her with some men who were also on horses as well.

As I reached to where she was, The men jumped me and grabbed hold of me, Jasmine stood watching and smiling as I was being held.

Sadiq Jasmine, what’s going on?

Man 1 Is he the one?

Jasmine Yes.. He’s the one… He’s been trying to kidnap me..

Sadiq What?? Jasmine what is this? This isn’t funny….

Man 2 Keep quiet dog…. You’re going to pay for your crimes… No more kidnapping young maidens crook.

Man 1 So where are you heading beautiful?

Jasmine I’m heading to Nishkapur…. Where are you heading?

Man 2 We are migrants … !

Jasmine migrants !?

Man 2 Yes.. Migrants.. We like move around… Staying in one place isn’t the kind of our life.

Jasmine Okay.. Well, do you mind if I tag along.. My father would pay you handsomely for my return.

Man 1 Is that so? Well, let’s get going then…

Man 3 Okay you criminal… Let’s get going…

Sadiq You don’t understand… She’s lying to you.. I’m not kidnapping her.

Man 1 Shut up fool, don’t make us thrash you mercilessly… You should be grateful that we didn’t kill you.

I kept quiet after that, and followed them… For Two days, I was forced to walk on foot, I was given small amount of food and water.. The only time we rested was at nightfall.

The men treated Jasmine like a queen, and the stupid girl was busy dwelling in the royal treatment she was getting.. I wasn’t angry about jasmine selling me out like this but what I was angry about is the men she’s hanging out with… These men don’t look like migrants to me, Migrants always travel in groups, lots of groups but 3 men claiming to be migrants is just too weird..

On the third day, I found out who these bastards were… Later that night, I was outside tied close to the horses, Jasmine was fast asleep in her tent , The men in their own tents began to talk about something sinister.. So I became quiet and still listening to their conversations.

Man 2 Its been days now since I’ve had company.

Man 3 What are you talking about? You do have company, us!

Man 2 No fool, I’m talking about feminine companionship.. When was the last time you slept with a woman..

Man 1 You’re right.. But we don’t have any woman Here, except that young lovely lass.

Man 2 So? Let’s all take turns and have fun with her, I’d like to relieve some sexual tension.

Man 1 No.. We can’t do that.. Didn’t you hear what she says, her father is rich.. We will be rewarded if we take her home..

Man 2 Enough please.. Are you crazy? Going back to Nishkapur is suicide, Back there we’re wanted criminals.. Even if we get the reward, we won’t have the luxury to enjoy it.. I say we have our fun with her, bound her and take her to Marida and sell her.. Judging from her fine attractive features, we’ll get like at least 5 bags of gold.

Man 3 Okay then… (Laughs) let’s get to it..

I knew this men were up to now good… To think they would do such a things, some men have no dignity and honor.. Whilst, I was trying to find a way to free myself from the bounds.. I heard a growl and a heavy breath a few steps behind me, i didn’t turn around, the smell of the creature was enough to alert me and made me realize who it was.. It was one of those gigantic monsters that attacked us before.. Just where in the world could they be coming from… Realizing the situation, I laid down quiet and became still as if I was dead, The creature approached me and the horse with stealth, After sensing that I wasn’t aware of its presence, It proceeded to the tent where the men were.. Unfortunately for the bastards… One of them came out trying to sneak into Jasmine’s tent, as he came out he came face to face with the abominable creature.. He was stunned and paralyzed with shock to do anything as he was about to shout.. The beast bit his head off, the man struggled but it was of no use, His head soon came off its body , the beast threw his body away and began to chew the man’s head like bread.. It was terrifying to hear how the creature crushed the man’s skull with it teeth.

The other men hearing this commotion, came out to see what happened.. As they too came out, the beast killed them all, he grabbed one and smashed him to the ground after that, he placed his foot on him and squashed him like a tomato and as for the other one, the beast grabbed him with his two massive hands and spilt him in half.. It was terrifying and scary watching and hearing the men scream their last in brutal pain.

After that the creature went to Jasmine’s tent and tore it open, The creature approached Jasmine and picked her up… The silly girl woke up all of a sudden, maybe it was the stinky smell of the creature that woke her up, Immediately she realized the position she was in, She screamed out loud, The creature used its massive hand and covered her nose and before long, Jasmine had passed out.

After that the creature disappeared with Jasmine into the night… I wanted to save her but confronting this beast only was a suicide attempt, the only way to kill this kind of monsters was attacking them from inside and the only way to do that was through it’s mouth.

Still, I wasn’t going to leave her like that, I have to save her.. I’m not sure I could but I have to try.. After i cut myself loose, I picked up some food and weapons, Fortunately for me, Those poor b*stards had a bow and arrow, so I took it along with me, I took some valuable stuff with me, took one of the horses and rode towards to the direction of the creature, As I rode on the path the creature went with jasmine, i saw its footprint on the sand..I rode on faster so I wouldn’t lose its tracks… I’m not sure how i’m going to confront this situation but I have to try and save Jasmine.. No matter the stakes. I have to try.
