The king was seated with his elders and loyal servants, it’s that time of the year scheduled for them to sacrifice a human being to the gods, the Priest came there to announce who the gods have chosen.

The king and his elders were not happy about this but there was nothing they could do since the gods are the ones who protect them.

He mentioned the Name Mensah as the one the gods have chosen for the year, the guards quickly left to bring him in, Mensah is a young man who is hard working and he is leaving with only his mother, his father died when he was at the age of 5 years.

The guards went to their compound and found Mensah cutting piece of wood, they grabbed his hands and lifted him up, his mother came out and saw them and started crying sitting on the ground but there is nothing she could do and she knows what they are going to do to him.

The guards brought him and the King seeing the young man felt pity for him, he wished there was something he could do, the guards went ahead and put him inside a wooden cell they have built, Mensah and his mother cried all night.

Early in the morning, everyone in the village was gathered at the center of the village, where they normally do the sacrifice, you may ask why can’t the people in the village run away from the village?, everybody is scared to do it because the Priest can kill you, when he find out that you are trying to run away from the village.

They put his head on the wooden stool on the ground there, which is called the gods stool. It has been there from generation to generation. It means, the stool belongs to the gods, so when the blood flows over the stool then the gods have accepted the sacrifice in peace.

The Priest was standing in front of Mensah he raised his hand up and a giant sword appear in it, he held it firm and raised the sword down and….
