Rose's POV

Two days later…..

It was just afternoon when I decided to go to the river to play. I wore my slippers and walk down the road.

The community has a stream and a big river.

I got to the river, seeing only some set of ladies. Let just say they are my rivals.

I dislike them. I don’t even know the other two names but I know one and that’s Faith.

“Here! The witch is around. Educated witch” One of them said and I scoff.

“Well thanks, at least am not an illiterate like you. You can’t even spell your name” I shot her a stare.

“So you talk back at us? We are not your mate. Get that.” Another said.

“You guys may be older than me but am still far better than you. No school, even her English, not fluent enough.

You are older than me, then? Just stop and let me do what I came here for please.”I fired and proceed to the river.

I got to the bank and sat down on the floor taking some pebbles and threw it into the river.

“You don’t want to think about what we can do?” Someone whispered into my ears and I turned.

Those witches! I thought they’ve gone.

“What can you do? Don’t try anything stupid.” I warned and faced the stream back.

I felt two people Pulling me up and in a minutes, I was thrown into the river.

I was gasping. I can’t swim. I could hear the giggles from those three witches.

I didn’t hear from them anymore, they must have gone. I was still struggling. I know I can’t die.

Suddenly, someone came to join me. A male but i can’t see his face clearly cause of tge water.

I could hear my name been called. The person grabbed me to himself and go out of the river.

I opened my eyes finally and was shocked. Brume!!!

“Are you okay now? Rose?” He asked but all I did was hug him tightly.

“You saved me. Should I just say this and let it go?” I said still hugging him.

“What’s it Rose?”

“I love you Brume. So much. Am just keeping my feelings away from you. All this while have love you. Everything about having someone I like is all lies. I Just don’t know how to…….” He cut me off.

“Thats okay, am happy you love me back. Rose, I will never disappoint you. You’re my life and I will always protect you. I love you Rose” He beamed with a smile on his lips.

“I love you too” I sniffed, a tear dropping out.
