I decided to invest all my time and energy on my books and my efforts eventually paid off, some works and calculations that were previously given me tough time became easier to me due to constant practice and focus.

I and Chika continue to interact on the phone though not everyday and sometimes we would send romantic texts to each other.

After sometime, exams come and gone and we began anticipating what our results would be like. Am sure i wrote very well, and am also sure am not going to sit for this exam for the second time, no that would be a disgrace and also Chika would be admitted before me, no, i can’t take that.

A call from my former classmate Chuks stopped me from going to the field to play football. With the excitment in his voice, i deduced he made ‘A’ s in all his papers. I don’t want to be left in the dark so i had to turn back, go back to my house, pick my card and rush to the nearest cafe to check my own results. My result, my ticket to the university, my result, my ticket to be with Chika
