I closed my eyes tight, thinking I was shot to death, I didn’t feel any bullet pierce through me, I opened my eyes and saw everyone in the room stand still, What was going on?

Just then another gun shot went off, there was screams and shouts, That was then I realized that something strange was going on, Someone banged hard on the door and came in with fear on his face, He immediately shut the door and sat on the ground breathing hard.

Barbie Idiot, what’s going on out there?

Thug Boss, the police are…..

Barbie The police are what??? Just talk you f-----g bastard.

Thug The police are here!!!

As soon as he said that, Panic grabbed everyone in the room, they couldn’t concentrate, the plot to kill me was completely forgotten.

Barbie Joe! What’s the meaning of this? I though you said the police are not going to show.

Joe Yes but I don’t understand,…… Something has to be done, let me see what I can do.

Barbie Sure, go ahead…

Before Joe could even reach the door, Barbie blew his brains out, his huge frame fell on the ground like a sack of cement. Everyone froze in the room looking at barbie, she had that smile as she shot Joe, Who smiles at a time like this?

Vixen Barb, why did you do this? He was our only chance to escape.

Barbie Oh, Please can you really trust these police men? Once things get hot he’ll turn his back on us, even though they catch us they can’t prove anything so we can’t have any loose ends.

Vixen so what do we do? I’m scared.

In the moment another one of Barbie’s cronies bursted into the place startling everyone , he held his chest which was bleeding, he was shot, Fear was filled in his eyes, his breath was fast, as he came in he sat down looking at everyone as if he saw a ghost.

Vixen For Christ sake, what is this na? What is happening?

Barbie Vixen shut the f--k up! You what’s happening out there?

Thug 2 They’re everywhere, police, mopol, Soldiers, they’ve swarmed the place, their firepower is too much for us, we have to scatter.

Thug 2 Look? Its impossible, if we strike back, we’re dead, they’ll slaughter us. Everyone needs to run for their dear lives, this gig is over.

As soon as he said that, everyone began to run helter skelter, this was my chance to escape, I tried loosing off the bound but it was no use, As i was struggling with the ropes, Barbie and Vixen came in and took the modem which was under one of the couch, Barbie noticed I was trying to escape, so she gave Vixen her gun to finish me off, Vixen clicked the gun and walked slowly towards me with a smile on her face.

Vixen Such a waste, you could have been better but you chose to be a f-----g rat, and now you’ll die a terrible death, just like a rat.

She pointed the gun towards me and as she was about to shoot, Regina came to the rescue, she pointed her gun at Vixen asking her to surrender.

Vixen tried to move fast and shoot Regina but Regina already fired her gun and the bullet pierced Vixen’s arm making her drop the gun, She tried to reach for the gun but Regina shot off her hands, Vixens fingers were all over the floor! Jesus, what was she thinking? This is not like american movies that you’ll do anything you like.

Regina came and cut me loose, Though we ended things in an unpleasant way, I was glad to see her.

Regina Okay you okay?

Johnson Yes, you?

Regina I’m fine…….. Sorry we didn’t make it in time.

Johnson Don’t worry, we’ll talk later but first, I need to get Barbie. Here’s my friend pls take care of him.

I took off before Regina could stop me, That b---h had the very thing that would continue or put an end to this whole nightmare and if she escapes, everything I’ve worked hard for would be useless, I checked every place where she normally stays but she wasn’t there, I went outside to check but one of the mopol thought I was among the gang.

I had no choice but to do he asked, as I laid down flat, we heard a car engine roar with life, A black range rover jeep came at us with full speed, I quickly jumped out of the way not to be crushed and as I glimpsed at the car, I saw Barbie in it, she was driving the d--n car, She went around the building knocking down anyone who was in her way, The Soldiers and mopol shot at her car but it was useless, she was driving really fast and good, as she came around I noticed she wanted to go out through the gate, I rushed as quickly as I could and jammed the gate shut, She saw what I did and came at me with full speed, She was determined to crush me to death, but luckily for me, I dodged out of harm’s way and she rammed the gate hard, bending the hard steel, the bonnet of the car was damage and the windscreen too was pierced by the iron of the gate, Everyone came near the car approaching it with caution, Barbie had already came out of the car, walking slowly into the building, She was laughing as she walked.

Johnson Barbie, stop its over!

Barbie Its not over until, I say its over you bitches.

Mopol Abeg we dey waste time, shoot this Ashawo.

Regina No, don’t shoot her.

Barbie Yes, you pussies can’t kill me, cause I’m the Daughter of a f-----g senator, and if you kill me, he’ll have all your heads.

Johnson Barbie just give up, give us the modem.

Regina Yes, surrender the modem and your sentence will be reduced.

Barbie stood watching us all, it was like she realised the mess, she was into, She brought out the modem and looked at it smiling then she turned and looked at us.

Regina Yes put it down slowly and step forward.

Barbie Okay,

She did as she was told, she came forward slowly, just when we thought we ha achieved victory, Barbie smashed the modem with her feet, breaking it to pieces. She laughed wildly as she went down on her knees, one of the soldiers gave her a resounding slap that made Barbie faint right there and then.

The evidence that would expose this bastard was destroyed, all this struggling and bloodshed was for nothing, the gang member will be detained bur Barbie could walk free again, since she’s a senators daughter and she could rebuild the drug trade again.

After everyone was rounded up, we drove straight to the police station, Zombie was taken to the hospital foe treatment, I just hope he’ll be okay.

After some minutes, we arrived at the police station and dropped off the criminals, as I entered the police station, I saw Kate! I was surprised to see her, Was she among this criminals, I hope not.

Kate Johnny boy,..

Johnson What are you doing here?

Kate I saved your ass that’s what………. Where’s the watch I gave you?

Johnson It was stolen.

Before I could react, Kate Gave me slap, stunning me in the process, this woman can slap.

Johnson what was that for? I told you it was stolen.

Kate You let a 100 thousand dollar watch get stolen? Are you retarded?

Johnson Look, there was nothing I could do okay I’m sorry!

Kate The watch had a tiny tracker inside,

Johnson But we don’t have any evidence on them and their drug dealing.

Regina I wouldn’t be so sure.

Johnson Why? You saw how the modem was crushed.

Regina Sit down and let me tell you something.

Regina told me that Kate had given them the information about Barbie’s drug organization, everything from names to dealer and business contacts, everything and that Kate had gotten the info in my memory card of my phone that was shut.

I completely forgot, that I had a memory card inside the d--n phone and I didn’t bother to take my time and check.

Kate had saved my ass again and if it wasn’t for her great timing, I would have been sent to the land of the dead.

After some days, Barbie’s accomplice that were around the nation were caught and apprehended, alot of money was found in their account, and the police seized everything and promised to donate the money to the public treasury and I knew they were lying.

Regina gave a good word about me helping them to bring the criminals down, and as my reward was I given a check of 10million.

The police took credit for bringing the criminals down but some of my efforts was written on the newspaper and I became a local hero, Though we didn’t get back the way we were, Regina and I remained good friends.

As for barbie and her cronies, all of them were sent to prison for a very long time, and as for barbie, Her father and lawyer found a way to convince the Judge that Barbie was mentally ill, so as a result of that, she was free but she spent her time in a psychiatric home and want allowed to step out until she was mentally okay, which I doubt she would.

Kate gave me a new phone, which was the latest iPhone, it was a perfect timing cause I already did a welcome back on my sim cards and as soon as I put them inside, a call and a text came through my phone, I answered it to see who it was.

Johnson Hello, who’s this?

Nicole its me, Nicole.

Johnson Mrs Nicole, how are you?

Nicole I’m fine…… Look I don’t have time but I’ll make this quick. My husband is dead and I’m pregnant, I’ve already sent the money to your account, 5million dollars to be exact.

After the call, I checked the text and saw the money, I jumped high thanking God for my fortunes.

After that, life went back to normal, School finally resumes and the campus was finally clean, People wondered about what happened to the Nightshade gang, but either way they were happy that the place was finally safe, Zombie got better and I gave him some amount of cash, for the trouble he went through, it didn’t take long before, he squandered the money and booze and girls.

I wanted to spend my time with Kate and Richard as a family, I wanted us to get married but as always she refused and objected the idea but we still had fun with each other.

Mrs Nicole never came back to the campus again and since our last call, she didn’t call again. Mrs Bisi however returned but she couldn’t concentrate in class seeing me knowing she accused me of something I never did, in the end she quit her job.

So after that, I spent my time studying and minding my business, I didn’t attend any parties again with the fear of getting involved into another problem, Helen and I never talked or rather I refused to talk to her, when she found out about what happened to me from my brother, she came back apologizing for everything and wanted us to be back again but I was way ahead of her so I politely told her no, in the end, she hooked up with Bill.

Two years later, I graduated from the university, it was a happy day, Everyone in the family rejoices and celebrated but I got a better one from Kate, that night we had sex like animals f-----g each other till daybreak, and she also bought me a car, a nice Mercedes in which I could drive around in, The results finally came out and it wasn’t that bad.

So I went for my NYSC and served for a year, some guys were having fun doing their stuff but I had my way of doing things with Kate……

A few days, after my service, Vivian sent me a picture of her and the children, yes she had given birth to our second child which was a girl, she was cute and lovely, I sent them some complements wishing we could all meet. As soon as I was done with theirs, a message blinked on my phone, there was no name and the number was foreign, I clicked on the text and read what was in it.
