After what I encountered last night, I knew I wasn’t hallucinating.. Indeed there was an unknown force out there but what? And what does this necklace mean to the creature that appeared last night… From what I know, something else was coming and soon…

The next morning, I woke up and prayed to God to deliver me from whatever that came last night.. I was still shaken by the power displayed by that creature.. I hope I’m not getting myself into some kind of trouble..

After that, I took my bath, ate my breakfast and went to school, As Lionel and I were walking, we saw some people gathering around, some were shouting, some were crying, Out of curiosity we decided to go have a look, as we reached there, we saw a corpse on the floor, from the looks of it, it was a girl or rather used to be.. Her body was all shrunk up like the way we dry pepper in the sun, no flesh, no blood except bone…

Seeing that horrifying sight, Lionel and I were scared straight up, we quickly left the scene and walked away, we never talked about what we both saw.

As we arrived at school, Everyone was gisting, checking their phones as they walked, Lionel and I were surprised about what was going on, within seconds our phone’s WhatsApp alert blinged and we saw what it was, it was the picture of that girl we saw on the way here.. It seems that we were not the only ones who saw here.

Lionel Kai.. Why did they send this horror to me? I can’t watch this anymore…

Riley But how is that possible? I mean her body was dried up like dried pepper, it was like her blood was s----d up.

Lionel Bro, I beg you… Don’t start now.. Don’t start with your ridiculous supernatural fantasies..

Riley Then how can you explain how she was dried up.. This doesn’t make sense, if she was dead a long time ago, you would have seen worms on her but this one was just like that, no worm, no rotting smell, nothing… This is unnatural.

Lionel See na you know, me I’m going to my department… And do yourself a favor and shut up… Later jare.

As Lionel walked away, I too also took my leave and went to my department, as I entered the lecture hall, there were few people inside and among them was the new girl.

She sat at the extreme end of the hall, reading her book, I climbed up exchanging pleasantries with everyone, when I reached to where she was, She gave me a cold stare, her eyes was fierce and scary, I quickly diverted and took my seat, as I turned around to look at her again, she was still staring at me…

What was her problem? Did I do something wrong to her? I shifted my gaze from her and faced forward..

In that moment, Rukky and her noisy friends came into our hall, disturbing everyone with their laughter, As they came to where I was they began to mock the new girl making funny gestures at her.

Riley Rukky! Stop that..

Rukky Sup baby, I’ve missed you..

Riley Why are you here?

Rukky I came to see you nah, or don’t you want me here?

Riley It’s not like that.. Can’t you guys walk in silently without bothering anyone..

Rukky Oh please, this is not a seminar… By the way.. Have you seen that picture of that dried up corpse..

Riley Yes, I was there with my brother..

Rukky Really? Boy it was scary but funny seeing the corpse bent in a funny way.

Riley What’s so funny huh? That was a human being.. Not a comedy skit.. Her loved ones may be crying over her and you’re laughing what’s wrong with you?

Rukky Easy there.. Besides what’s her death got to do with you? You’re not her relative so I don’t see why you should be worried.

Riley You’re unbelievable… Can you please just leave…

Rukky Riley! Are you sending me out?

Riley No.. I just asked you to leave, I didn’t say you should get out!

Rukky What’s with you huh? Why are you treating me like this? Tell me, are you seeing someone else? You act like you don’t love me anymore.

Riley Look can we talk about this later…

Rukky Whatever… Let’s go girls..

Rukky and her lousy bunch walked out of the class, believe me I was embarrassed.. Why can’t they try to act like grown women, must they act irresponsibly… God…. As soon as they were gone, Khalid and Tina walked in, and from the way they were talking, it was like they were a couple..

I called out to them to have a seat with me and they came over.. Tina wanted to sit beside me but Khalid quickly sat in between us.

Riley Guy is everything okay?

Khalid Uhm.. Nothing..

Riley Beside why are you two so close together?

Tina What do you mean?

Riley Are you guy going out?

Khalid Who told you we’re dating?

Tina Khalid!!!

Riley Ooohhh, so that’s what going on abi? You guys were dating but you never told me?

I thought we were friends.. You guys should have at least let me know.

Khalid Sorry man, don’t take this the wrong way, we wanted to go deep first before telling you.

Riley It’s okay, so when did you guys hook up?

Khalid Yesterday, we were alone having a conversation and then it happened.

Riley It happened?… Oh you guys had…. (Laughs)

Tina Yes, we had sex.. Is something wrong?

Riley No, no… Just surprised that’s all.. I’m happy for you guys.

As we were talking, a bunch of guys came into our hall, they weren’t from our department… I immediately recognized one of them, The guy’s name is Isaac, top class student in the department of accounting, the guy is a show off and a pompous fool, just because his father is rich, he felt he could do whatever he wanted.. As he and his classmates entered, He alone came up and stood straight in front of the new girl..

He tries to sweet talk her, but she didn’t reply him, he kept on talking and talking, using every trick to get the girl’s attention but he couldn’t, The girl just faced her books and pretended he wasn’t there… Isaac began to boil in rage and anger, as he was feeling embarrassed being snubbed by a girl, Out of frustration, he slammed his fist on her table, trying to startle her, but she still kept quiet ignoring him… Finally Isaac tried his final gamble by dropping a some cash on the table… I felt angry by what he did, did he think he could win every girl’s heart with money?
