Life they say is never a bed of roses it has

some branches in different angles that are

filled up with thorns,the devil is never

sleeping he is more than willing to grant

you your wish when you diligently seek

him,just like the case of the criminals,they

ask for an opportunity to be real bad and it

was giving to them on a platter of gold.

The dragon squad drove the rescued

criminals out of the prison yard in a black

camry,they were scared to the marrow

when they saw the massacre that was done

by just two people body part and skull are

bein busted legs separated from the

numerous policemen on duty,with fear and

anguish they hop into the car driving out to

God knows where.they were driving in

silent to the outskirts of Benin to a forest,a

place where non of the criminals has ever

heard of or seen,different thought were

going their mind,till Brenda who was sitting

at the back with Patrick and segun looking

at different side of the glass probably to get

a glimps of where they are being taking to

spoke up.

Brenda: “please can somebody tell me

where we are going to? Dis place looks

scary”she asked thinking that the dragon

squad will answer her,to her uttermost

surprise they just keep mute without

uttering a word which multiply her fear.

After what seems like eternity,they stop at a

beautiful duplex in the middle of the

forest,and they wondered why someone will

built a beautiful house like this in the middle

of a thick forest,they were brought back

from their thought by the sound of a

opening gate which was being control by

one of the dragons brothers with a little

remote control,the gate open wide and they

drove in.they marvelled at the extraordinary

magnificent building that they are in looking

at different angles in the compound and

different set of cars that are packed on the

garage of the house,they where still lost in

thought when they were brought back by

the voice of one of the dragon members.

D.s member: “welcome to the dragon

den,your new home.you guyz are to go

inside and refresh your body,they are foods

in the dining for you guys to eat after taking

your bath then you all will rest in your

various Rooms to gain back lost strength,we

will tell you all you need to know tomorrow

morning.follow me let me take you to the

bath rooms and your various

rooms.welcome to the dragon family”.he

said moving inside the house while the

other follow another direction to the back of

the house where another duplex was

situated.

¤The next morning at the police station¤

sergeant tony was seen standing in the

d.p.o office,with the look on the d.p.o eyes

one don’t need a soothsayer to tell that he

was panic.

D.p.o:i believe you have heard the news.

Sergeant tony: yes sir!,i have even gone to

the prison yard to see for my self sir.

D.p.o: what is the situation there?

S.tony: sir, non of the officers on duty

survive sir! they are all dead in a very

horrible manner and pool of their blood

were in the whole compound.sir! I think the

hoodlums that did this most be up to 50 if

not more than coz bullet and knives where

scattered everywhere.

D.p.o: and the prisoners?

S.tony: non of the prisoners were seen sir,it

seems like the hoodlums came to rescue the

prisoners.

D.p.o: this has never been heard of in the

history of Benin city,what is

happening?,sergeant i urge you to ransack

this city,do all it takes to find those

hoodlums and the criminals and bring them

to book.

S.tony: yes sir!,i will try my best sir.

¤At mr.jumbo resident¤

he was sitting on the couch facing a plasma

tv with a straight expression when his son

came out from the room.

Derick:”good morning dad,you are out so

early”.he said walking toward mr.jumbo.

Mr.jumbo: (avoiding his greeting))”derick

Brenda and the other criminals have been

rescued by a group of mob last night and 32

policemen where killed in the

process.concerning the threat that she

issued to you 2 month ago,i think this

country is no longer save for us we need to

leave this country now.

Derick:what!!!!,dad how can you say that

when you know that my wedding is next

week?

Mr.jumbo:you told me that she threaten to

harm you while in prison,now that she is

freed don’t you think she will come for

you?,you life and your wedding which is

more important derick?

Derick: “i can’t answer that dad, just know

that i am not going anywhere till i finish my

wedding,i can’t run away from Brenda”.he

said murmuring some words that are not

audible as he walked out on his dad.

Mr.jumbo: (in a frustrating tune)”what is

wrong with this boy eh,if not that he looks

like me i would have been forced to dig my

dead wife up and ask her who his father

is,this is the same way that he brought a

criminal to my house for marriage,you must

leave this country”.he added picking up his

phone.
