Theresa:this place isn’t safe at all..girl..

Mary:I dey tell..you..this is where all those agbero..guys..sleeps..I really don’t know why I can’t find them..here..

I and Mary discussed while laying on each benches..

Mary:I can’t believe all these is happening to us..God..please show yourself..make a way where they seem to be no way..

Theresa:God doesn’t leaves his children Mary..let’s not be afraid..I know we can do this..the only problem..now is where to live..

Mary:you seem very courageous..

Theresa:just watch and see..girl..I have some savings..

Mary:same here..and I even ve something for us to eat..my pot of jollof rice I didn’t finish at the hostel..so how much ve you saved?

Mary:what..wow..that’s a huge amount of money..I saved just ten thousand naira..

Mary:I don’t think so..Tessy.. here in Lagos things are extremely costs.. especially in this kind of area..

Mrs Johnson:(faints)

Few months later after leaving in that warehouse..we were just playing around the streets..I and Mary were jogging..my stomach had grown so big..and it kinda makes me look shapeless..when we met this lady..

Mary:ah..that aboki..isn’t okay aswear..I can’t believe is crushing on you..

Theresa:don’t mind..him..jare..we should just keep on fooling the idiot so he can give us..beverages and breads..

(Just then a matured lady dressed like a runs girl approached us)

Stella:hi..girls..

Mary:hello..

Stella:how are you both doing?

Mary: fine ma..

Stella:I just want to say hi..I ve been seeing you both roaming about..the streets past few months..and am very worried since this place is a very unsecured street..you two are too young to be roaming about like..this..

Why can’t people just mind their business..with the way the woman looks like a prostitute..and the way Mary is getting too friendly with her isn’t cool..I won’t want to accept anything from a lady like this..that’s if she even has anything to offer..and besides..I’ve learnt to judge some books by it’s cover..

Stella:what do you say..if you guys..come and stay with me in my house..I live in a room and palour self contained..house…

Mary:oh really..thanks madame..

Stella:so are you coming?

Mary:ugh..we need to pack our things out of the place we stay first..before we can agree to meet live with you..but first I need to talk to my friend in private if you don’t mind..

Stella:sure..no problem..(shifts a bit)

Mary:girl..why ve you been quiet?

Theresa:hmm..cos I really don’t know what to say..am speechless..you know we can’t trust anyone..

Mary:you right o..but..we really need to stay in somewhere that will be more secured and the raining season will come soon..can you imagine..all our stuffs will just get spoilt..and it won’t be good for either of us..and beside you will still put to bed you..know..we need to accept this offer.. remember it’s not everyone that dresses….

Theresa:(cuts in)alright..let’s just accept it..

Days turned into months..Stella wasn’t that bad after all..she’s still a runs girl..but with time I got to know more about her..she’s very nice..and caring..and she even prepared good food for I and Mary..I and Mary couldn’t just sit back while Stella do all the work..so we started hawking pure water in different streets..and we gain alot of money by doing that..
