Oladele our chemistry teacher,that man can beat for africa,he was busy beating the late comer when I enter inside the school, the social prefect yussuf called me hey oya go chop ur own, so I went to meet mr oladele,he gave me four strokes of cane before dismissing me to the assembly after the assembly we went to our various class and noise started, one of my seat mate tunde but we call him gomilapa started singing rubbish beside me I just vex for am coz the Cain dey pain me,”seriously he just started to laugh saying shey na only me dem beat the truth is that he was also

beaten but you knw say no be my fault I came late if I get money to enter bus I go be the best punctual student, as dem dey mock me for class that was wen our maths teacher enter class Mrs omotosho,she did wat she know how to do and go out likewise the other teachers also, “break time” we heard the time keeper so everyone happily comot class we go play ball,last last we close for school dat day we were told to wait behind so as to do extra lessons because it’s waec time,so after leaving the school premises by 4:30 I got home by 6 my sister is already home but I didn’t met my mum at home I went to field so as to meet one of my friend wey dey hustle he’s name is yemi,he’s not in school anymore he did his waec last year so he is hustling nw I went to him so me too can be following him dey hustle I knew he is selling along express chasing bus to buy gala buy soft drinks and he’s quite okay with it, “getting money daily na gud thing nw” Abi no be soo,the prayer be say may God bless our hustle.

I met him playing on the field,yemi I called him and the first thing he will say is that “Apple come play nw,play ko play ni” me way I neva chop since morning make I con fall down abi,after his set comot he come and meet me and I table my problems for him he’s my paddy so he said on Saturday he will come and call me when he’s going. I went back home happy dat Saturday me self go get work to do,I pick up my bag and take out my physics textbook and notebook to read I read till 9 in the night when my mum came back home from the place she went to and told me she’s working at one buka(mama put) in the 3rd street helping them to wash plates so as for us to get money to eat I also told her about my conversation with yemi but she said she want me to face my studies,I knw she won’t agree if I keep on insisting with her so I said ok ma…..

Saturday reach and I went out with yemi after he came to call me,I swear e no easy to dey run follow motor dey hawk ooo if you see people dey run after your bus dey hawk pity dem and buy something oo that day I run to the extent of pe my leg dey shake while standing but after everything sha I get gain of 2500 naira with me wen going home the money self na ginger,I get home and I saw that my mum is not yet back i thank God for that so I buy paracetamol and use and gave my sister money to go and buy wat she’s going to eat around 8:30pm my mum came back and see me sleeping she ask wat the matter is and I told her about it she scold me that after everything she said I still went out abi? I just had to help you am old enough to do anything dats going to bring food to our table after a while she calm down and I gave her the money,she prayed for me. So it continue like dat till I finish my waec, I opt in for it full time so I can save money to further my education……. on one fateful day my body dey charge as I dey run after cars and bus selling soft drinks and cold bottle water I don’t knw how it happen I was just chasing this car to sell my drinks so in the process I heard a car brake that got everyone screaming……..to be continued
