Days passed after the thrift that happened between me and Rashida, we weren’t talking much only to greet and go about our business, we no longer sleep in the same shack, We’ve both being battling some issues in our minds and each of us hasn’t arrived at the conclusion.

I despised Rashida before but now after that sea incident stuff that made us kiss, my mind hasn’t been a quiet place lately, I’ve been deciding whether it was survival that made us kiss or was it just love? Not only did we kiss but we also had sex, more than once. But to be honest, ever since Rashida changed I’ve been seeing a good side of her that makes me drawn towards her, and ever since then whenever I was close to her, my mind feels elevated and my heartbeat increases.

So one night during dawn, when the sun was yet to set, I was in my shack thinking about Rashida, I couldn’t sleep, the more I try to close my eyes the more I see and think about her, soon images of our last sexual escapade flashed in my head, I remembered how her body was underneath mine and how she moaned to my every touch, This images were driving me crazy, all I could think about was Rashida, I went out of the shack and straight to the shore and washed my face.

I stared into the sky, and took a deep breath, my mind has been made up, I have to admit, I love Rashida.

I went to her shack and knocked on it, It didn’t seem like she was sleeping either, she came out touching her left arm, with her head bent, she couldn’t look into my eyes and her stance was different, we stood for a while before we talked.

Justin We need to talk.

Rashida’s face widened as if she had heard some kind of terrible news, she moved back slowly, clutching her chest with her hands, she slowly sat on the sand, with a shocked look on her face.

Rashida Weeks ago, I was your enemy but now you love me, it doesn’t make sense. Things just don’t happen like that.

Justin You’re right, but ever since you changed, I saw something in you, I can’t explain it but I realized you weren’t that same girl who was arrogant back at highschool.

Justin Why are you denying this? We can’t you see we love each other?

Justin Really? Then why did you hug me when I returned late to the shore, why were you crying? and why did we have sex? Why?

Rashida looked at me, with her sweet loving eyes, the tears dropped on her lovely face as she stared at me, as I looked into her eyes, I knew she really loved me but she doesn’t want to admit it.

Suddenly, we heard a gun shot….. Or rather gun shots, from the other side of the island, Did those Bastards return? If I remember clearly they said they would be back in a week and today was the day, Drug dealers and buyers would come to the island and do business, I ran to my shack and picked up my axe and flare gun, I gave the flare gun to Rashida to use it if she sees any threat.

Justin here take this, shoot anything that moves or doesn’t look like me.

Rashida Where are you going?

Justin I’m going to check around and see if anyone is coming this way.

Rashida I’ll go with you, don’t leave me here.

Justin No stay here, if anything happens to me, run to the mountain, its the only place anyone would look for you.

Rashida Please don’t die, and come back to me, okay? Promise?

Justin I promise, now hide in a safe place.

As soon as I gave her the gun, I went into the woods, I followed the place that led to where the camp was, the gun shot had to be from that direction. As I reached the intersection of the island, I heard a running footstep heading towards me, I went behind a big tree and hid myself, the sun was yet to set so there’s no way I’ll be seen, in that moment, the target came close to my direction, I aimed my axe and threw it at him, but the guy fell and the axe landed on a tree trunk.

As I came closer, I saw the guys face, my mind stood for a minute as I saw who it was, Kevin.

Kevin Justin!! you son of a b---h……

Justin Kevin! You sick son of a horse.

Kevin I can’t believe this, you’re alive?

Justin Hell yeah, What in the world are you doing here?

Kevin Its a long story man,…… Boy am I bald to see you, wait till everyone knows you’re not dead?

Justin Wait, everyone thinks i’m dead?

Kevin Yeah, you and Rashida both, a funeral was made for you guys…… So you’re the only lucky bastard alive?

Justin Not exactly… Rashida is here as well, she’s alive.

Kevin WHAT???!!!!!

D--n it, Where is Justin? I hope nothing happens to him, I checked the flare gun to see if it was loaded, I sat in my safe spot, Thinking about what Justin said, He loves me? My mind was excited but was it true? Cause I still don’t believe Justin said that, but I saw sincerity in his eyes, when he told me that , I wanted to tell him I loved him, but why couldn’t I?

To be honest, I haven’t told anyone this but I’ve had a crush on him back in highschool, besides what girl wouldn’t but I was too shy to tell him, but the girls did, and they were confident around him, Not only that, That b---h Maria stole him from me, since then I decided to bully Justin and make me notice me. I loved watching him crumble as I made him feel bad about himself, it was the only way I could get him to focus on me but I soon lost my self and began doing that to other people and soon I became everyone’s enemy.

I couldn’t tell him back then and why should I be able to tell him now? Its no use….

As I sat feeling sorry for myself, I heard some laughter coming from the woods, I aimed the flare gun at the direction waiting for the moron to come out, as then as I was about to fire, I saw Justin with another familiar face, Kevin.

Justin Rashida, come out, its safe now.

Rashida Kevin!!!

Kevin Rashida!!! I can’t believe you’re alive.

Justin Kevin, that’s not nice.

Rashida It’s okay, I deserve that anyway.

Kevin ??????? (Is this for real).

Minutes later, we were sitting with Kevin as he was busy eating the crabs and fishes we stored for our afternoon meal, he told us everything that happened after we were missing, including Edward’s infidelity.

Kevin I’m sorry, Rashida that boyfriend of yours, is a pack of shit. (Good for you)

Rashida Thanks for letting me know about his betrayal.

Justin So what brings you here?

Kevin I was tracking a group of drug dealers back in Newyork turns out, they had a mysterious island where they stash their stuff and as it turns out, its true. So I tried to investigate and see if I could get anything, but they caught me and brought me here, as soon as we reached the shore, I took my escape.

But don’t worry, they can’t find us and I have a GPS phone with me to call Headquarters.

Rashida Really?

Justin What are you waiting for? Call them.

Kevin Wait, I need information on these guys, maybe they still have drugs out there.

Rashida No they don’t, this is their last shipment and they’re calling Buyers today to sell off those cocaine.

Kevin How did you know all this?

Justin They came here last week, we were at the camp, we have no time, just call d--n it!

Kevin brought out the phone and called the Police headquarters for assistance. The GPS phone had some speaker problem but Kevin told them to track the phone.

Kevin Hello, this is officer Kevin!

Officer on phone Pzzzzt! Kevin Pzzzt! Where are you?

Kevin I’m stuck on an island… I’ve found the criminal chain of the cocaine distribution.

Officer on phone What? Pzzzt! Tell me your Pzzzzt! Location?

Kevin I have no idea just track the phone.

Officer on phone Pzzzt! What?

Kevin I said track the d--n phone.

After the call ended, We all stood watching each other, Finally we are all going to escape this island but the problem was how will they know where we will be? This island is quite big. Coolval stories

Justin So what now?

Kevin We wait!

Rashida Wait?

Kevin Yes!

Rashida We can’t just wait, we should all spread out and know where the police are coming.

Kevin Spread out? Are you crazy, if you don’t know the other side of the island is being roamed with those criminals, its best we stay here.

Justin Kevin is right Rashida, its best we stay here, we can’t out run or fight them all.

Rashida But they don’t know the island better than us.

Justin Still, they have guns and what do we have? Nothing except an axe and a flare gun.

Kevin Besides we better not arouse any suspicion, we need all those buyers to gather in one place if the police come, we arrest every last one of them.

Rashida No!! We need to act now.

Justin Rashida what’s gotten into you?

Rashida What’s going into me? What’s gotten into is what the need to know what I want, which is something you don’t have.

Justin What are you talking about?

Rashida I’ve finally gotten an answer to what I think about us, its not going to work, I don’t love you.

Justin What?

Rashida Yes, I don’t, you claim to love me but its not love but lust, what happened between us was a mistake, we were not in our right minds when we did what we did. Your proclamation of love is a fantasy, its not real.

Justin Thanks for telling me all that, just when I thought you had changed, deep down you’re still that same girl that ruins everyone’s moment, you’re just a sad, lonely and uncaring person. After we get out of here, I never want to see you again. Ever.

Justin looked hurt and sad, and he took revenge by telling me those unbearable words, He left and went to his shack living me and Kevin standing alone.

I knew I had f----d up real bad and the tone of Justin’s voice indicated he was serious about what he said.

My legs felt limp and heavy, I stood transfixed in where I was, it took me some time to get back to my own shack dragging my legs slowly.

As for Kevin he stood looking surprised as to what he heard!
