MADAM BIMPE SIDE OF THE STORY

Madam Bimpe is a banker born and brought up in Lagos but she hails from Easthern part of Nigeria. Madam Bimpe has three daughters and the husband is living abroad. Bimpe is just an extra busy woman who doesn’t care about her family but care more about her job. She is a bank manager in the bank she is working with in that branch. Madam Bimpe’s first daughter is Nancy and she is 19yrs old. The second daughter is Joyce by name and she is 17yrs old while the last born is Salome and she is 14yrs. The house chores was becoming too much for the three daughters to bear and Madam Bimpe started looking for house boy.

Madam Bimpe placed a call to her mother one evening.

MADAM BIMPE: Good evening mama! How’re you doing mummy?

Bimpe’s mother: hello bimpe. How’re you doing and how is your family and job?

Madam bimpe: They are all fine.

Bimpe’s mother: That’s a good news. { after exchanging pleasantries} my daughterghter they is something that have been bothering me which I will like to share with you if you don’t mind .

Bimpe: mama ,I’m interested in it. So tell me what it is.

Bimpe mother: There is this boy in the village that have been suffering for long now and he is also an orphan. Please my daughter ,I want you to help him. T

He have been helping me to fetch water and break firewood for me here in the village. He also do help me to do some other house chores,please my daughter do help this boy.

Bimpe : Mama if you say so,there is no problem about it. I’ll look into it and get back to you soon.

Bimpe mother: Thanks my daughter.

{ THEREAFTER BIMPE ENDED THE CALL}

Few weeks later madam bimpe call her mother in the village in order to tell her that she have agreed to help the boy. Madam bimpe sent transport fee to her mother for the mobilization of Igwe from village to the city.

MAIN SIDE OF THIS STORY.

One early morning ,bimpe’s mother summoned me in their house. When I got there, I thought she is calling me to help her as usual but it is something else.

Bimpe mother: [After exchanging pleasantries with her as usual] Igwe you’ve tried so much for me. you’ve been my backbone all this while and ive been praying for you.

Igwe: thank you mama.

Bimpe’s mother: igwe because of this your generosity,I’ve decided to talk to my daughter who Is living in Lagos to help you and she agreed to. She is a banker and her husband is living abroad. So If I may ask,what do you want to do?

Igwe: well,mama I’m so grateful for this and God will bless you and sustain you for me. Thanks so much. i want to further my education if possible.

Bimpe’s mother: that’s a good idea. I’ll talk to her when you get there. She have send me money for your transport so you’ve to prepare tomorrow,you’re going to Lagos .[ when I heard that,I was very excited. I don’t know if to lie down,bend or stand up and be greeting her. Tears roll from my eyes as I was thanking her. She held me ] Igwe is okay please,stop shedding tears here.

{ THEREAFTER, I WENT HOME AND STARTED WASHING ALL MY NEW CLOTHS AND OTHER THINGS I’LL TRAVEL WITH.

IN THE EVENING I GOT MY LUGGAGES READY}

‘’Atleast my sufferings here in the village will be over. I’m going to the city to receive fresh air and make new friends . when I enter Lagos ndi ofe nmanu ga-ama that I’ve arrive. Igwe will be live in Lagos tomorrow. Hahahaha. I can’t wait for tomorrow’’ I was soliloquizing .

In the evening ,I went to bimpe’s house to help the mother and fetch water and break firewood as usual. I ate my dinner there and I wasted so much time there, doing everything possible to be enticing the mother. She wanted me to sleep in their house but I declined and told her that I want to go and get my luggages ready before morning and arrange some things at home but living. I went home and over joy couldn’t allow me to sleep. In the hand, I started thinking about the place am travelling to. ‘’who knows if the woman is a good person as her mother? What about her three daughters ,are they friendly? God please help me and make the place to be comfortable for me. I’ll do my best and leave the rest to God Almighty.

Early in the morning ,I got prepared and went to Madam Bimpe’s house to meet her mother. After pleasantries she gave 10k for my transport.

Bimpe’s mother: Igwe keep on doing good as you always do. Lagos is one of the biggest city in Nigeria which both the good and bad things happens. I lived in Lagos for 35 years before I came back to village. I gave birth to my two children in Lagos and trained them there too. Don’t follow bad boys that is roaming around the street in the name of cultist. Gain no dey for head of fish so please don’t look at those stupid people . Be obedient to my daughter Bimpe and I know you will enjoy her and the children. Lastly ,stay away from girls inorder for youn to achieve your main goal, girls kill destiny easily. Women can be a destiny helper if you’re with the right person and aswell be a destiny kill if you’re not with the right person but for now, focus first on what is taking you to Lagos and achieve your goals first. That’s my own little advice for you for now so you go well and God will protect you and the road will obey you.

Igwe: thank you mama for the advice. I promise to adhere to your advice ma’am.

Bimpe’s mother: you’ll enter peace park and enter motor from there. My daughter will send someone to pick up when you drop at peace park in Lagos.

[ I LEFT TO PEACE PARK AND ENTERED MOTOR. AT AROUND 9AM OUR VEHICLE DROVE OFF TO LAGOS. AFTER 10 HOURS OF DRIVE,OUR VEHICLE FINALLY GOT TO PEACE PARK IN OSHODI LAGOS. I CALLED MADAM BIMPE ON PHONE THAT WE’RE IN LAGOS NOW. SHE TOLD ME THAT SHE’VE SENT DRIVER TO COME AND PICK ME. SHE SEND ME THE DRIVER’S PHONE NUMBER. AFTER FEW MINUTES,ONE STRANGE NUMBER CALLED ME. WHEN I PICKED,IT WAS THE DRIVER. WHEN WE GOT HOME THEY USHERED ME IN AND MADAM BIMPE’S SECOND DAUGHTER WAS BUSY STARRING AT ME AS I WAS GOING INSIDE. SHE WAS SO BEAUTIFUL AND HAS ALL THE WOMEN ACEST WHICH EVERY MAN IS LOOKING FOR.
