Ali’s Story Continues
She came crushing down on her knees crying like a baby whose puppy had been missing.

I was shocked to see Anita, one of Bernice’s bestfriend when she finally raised her face to look at me.

I wasn’t expecting you to be here, where’s Bernice,I said with a shaken voice.

She went home last night for some items her auntie was to send her but couldn’t due to some reasons best known to her,Anita explained.

So this girl couldn’t tell me that she was leaving for the items right, Ali asked.

“Don’t worry dear, she would be back soon after I sent your tragic words to her.

“Bernice was supposed to be there for me in these mind driving situations,instead her friend came showing remorse for her, Ali said turning to Simone who was consoling him.

It’s strange how some women can pretend to love you but when something worst happens to you they are nowhere to be found.
Life is indeed strange. Sometimes, I feel like being single just to experience the other side of life because there’s a saying which goes, “But for a bad marriage try being single “….

*Bernice called just after Anita had left to express her deepest condolences to me.

I was so furious with her that I cut the line on her.She called several times but I refused to pick up her calls, then she sent me series of messages pleading for what she had done…

I refused replying to her messages too. She then called my line using a different number.

I picked up and she started shedding crocodile tears.
I knew it was Bernice because even a dump person in the College could detect the sound of her voice.

She pleaded again and I forgave her. Bernice then asked for my unfortunate story which I told her.

She told me she had wanted to spend a day or two in the house but for my bad news, she would drop all her initial plans of staying and return to College immediately.
I heard a knock on the door and I jumped from my bed to open the door.

It was one guy who carried a message to me that Bernice wanted to have a word with me and was waiting for me behind my dormitory…
