*”Do you know that Lady who tried to fight me last night?”,Ben asked me. “Of course no”,I replied.
‘Okay,I did a background check on her last night because I couldn’t sleep without me knowing her name’.
“That’s good buddy”,I praised him.

“Anyway her name is
Bernice and she’s in first year”.
‘It’s good that you brought her name up because I
called you because of that fresher’,I retorted.
“Really! , I thought you called me here to talk about something better?”,he queried.
“In fact,you have to take it easy on Bernice for she can send you packing with her tempting behaviour”,I adviced.

“Thanks my guy, you know it’s always good to have you as a friend”,he praised me making my head to face to brighten almost at the same time.
“Thank you for taking my piece of advice,you no I can not afford loosing a jovial friend like you”,I joked.

He tapped my shoulder and stood up saying, “hope there’s nothing more to say because am starving”,he asked.
‘No please,lets go get something to eat at the canteen’,I suggested,standing up almost at the same time.
*The sun was up high in the sky making the day very bright
to be mine as I stood on the corridor building castles in the air.

“Good morning Ali”,was a faint femine voice from behind.
I turned only to see that tempting figure behind me.
Morning Bernice, “what can I help you with?”,I responded and asked in a polite way.
“I just wanted to plead guilty about what happened last night”,she said in a whispering voice”.

“Good for you to have that courage because I wouldn’t
have been able to do that if I were you”,I responded with a jovial manner.

“Does that mean I’m forgiven?”.
“Of course dear, go and sin no more”,I replied still in a jovial manner.

She jumped up high throwing herself up to hug me tight.
She made me remember instantly about one of my Dad’s advices he gave me before I came to College.
He said, “never loose your temper after the plea of a woman for the second time because you may never want to loose a friend just for tempting your fate:for women always fall for a forgiving dude”.

I was shocked for the fact that she threw herself on me.
She offered for her friendship which I granted willingly and verily verily I say unto you, “from that day Bernice and I became the very best of friends on Campus,something I never dreamt of happening.
In fact, I know what you must have been saying in your mind, “God works in mysterious ways,because that’s what I was going to say too”.

But always remember this, “keep your friends close,and your enemies closer”…
