Could it be i left it in Nuel’s lodge?..

“Hey young lady!”

I was snapped back to reality

“I am talking to you…where is your phone?stop hiding things from me Ashabi..i am your mother!”

“Uhmm..could you just let be be for once?!stop pestering my life..i am old enough to take care of myself..please get out of my way!”

I walked in knowing what i said to mum was wrong but my pride won’t allow me

I got to my room pushed myself on the bed and slept off..i woke up by midnight and found mum crying but i cared less

Got to my bed thinking about how i saw momma but i waved it off.. Just then the image of my phone popped up

“Where could i have misplaced it? Harry’s or Benita’s? or could it be someone stole it from my purse when i went with Nita to get the drug?”

Just then i remembered the drug..I quickly searched for my purse, brought it out and glanced at it for a bit

“I will take this tomorrow” i said to myself

Next morning..I heard someone laughing at the living room.. All i heard was; “Mummy mummy you are the best”

“Oh so momma has a child somewhere else..she’s so cheap!! Ugh”

I opened the door to the living room..i peeped through and saw it was Brother Ibrahim!!

“Wow he’s back..And where is his white bride?” i scoffed to myself

I pretended to be thirsty..and came out to get a glass of water..I just passed,no greetings,no sign of happiness

I went straight to the fridge..Just then Brother Ibrahim said

“Ashabi didn’t you see your big bro?”

I just turned back and gave him a wicked look

“Can’t you greet!” Ibrahim was amazed

“Oh the prodigal son is home..And expecting me jumping all over like a Cairo monkey? Please cut the crap”

Ibrahim stared at Momma in confusion, momma just bowed her head and kept on begging him to be calm since he just arrived

“What?!.. Me? Prodigal son??Ashabi you said that to me?”

“Abeg abeg don’t bother me…I just came out to get a glass of cold water..and please could you excuse me?”
