“Wow.. Momma who is it from?”

Mum opened the package well.. The phone had a logo imprint of an eaten apple..

I exclaimed

“It’s an IPhone!”

Mum opened the letter, she read it openly looking curious

“It was from Ibrahim”

“My brother?”

“Yes.. He wants you to use it in communicating with him on Facebook.. He misses you” Mum said helplessly

I noticed her mood.. She wasn’t happy.. All she wanted was Ibrahim to come back home

“Momma don’t worry.. My brother will come back to us” i said assuring

“Okay.. Enjoy your new phone but please do not let it derail you from the ways of the Lord” she warned

“Yes mum.. I won’t” i sharply said

I couldn’t sleep that night.. I was waiting for the power restoration so i could charge it.. I couldn’t wait to show off my new phone.. Not just an ordinary phone, an iPhone!

The lights came on minutes later

“Thank God!” I was happy.. I inserted the charger and it came on

I was so happy.. My joy knew no bounds

I left it to charge while i went to bed

Kukurukuuuuu… The c--k crowed.. I jumped out of bed and switched on the phone.. I was ready to bite my lips off!

I quickly ran to mum demanded for little cash so i could get a sim card.. Since Brother Ibrahim added the SD card and other things

I quickly ran to the registration centre.. I was registered few minutes later

I inserted the sim card there and i was prepared to see the world beyond
