The necessary preparations where made towards the welcome party ,every worker was busy doing one thing or the other …

Me and nkechi as instructed has gone to the market to get all the foodstuff for the preparation, while mama femi and joke have been busy working on how to make things happen for the day …

It was around 6pm me and nkechi arrived at the mansion with the help of Ahmed the driver, who helped us off load the goods …

On getting to the kitchen we met mama femi and nkechi washing the dishes and arranging the things that will be needed for the tomorrow preparation…..

Mama femi: Welcome o… She greeted me and nkechi…

Me&nkechi: Thanks Ma…

Mama femi: Keji mi, Hope you are not stressed

Me: No Ma, thanks..

Joke: Chai tomorrow go bad gan …

Me: Confused… In what sense

Mama femi: See Keji ,dont you know people of great dignitaries will be here tomorrow,ah it gonna be a big party when you would see people of high post in this country,have you forgotten we are talking about the one and only son of senator Williams…you will see for yourself nah…

Joke: Rinsing her hand… No be small oo… She added

Me: Ehn ehn ,just ordinary welcome party ?

Nkechi: Did you just say ordinary…

Mama femi: Keji my dear, you will see for your self tomorrow.. she said smiling ..

Hmmm ,I can’t wait for tomorrow then …I said to myself

We continued with our work so it won’t be load for us the next day,Cus we would be having alot to do ….

We all retired to bed around 10pm ,I could not sleep ,I kept anticipating for the welcome party and at the same time thinking about my man crush …Melvin….

We woke up really early the next day so as to prepare for the welcome party which be held by 2pm…

Mama femi was the first to wake up ,and she took turn in waking the rest of us ,we prayed,took our bath ,wore our uniform and headed straight to the kitchen to start the cooking,…

Every other workers were awake as well,doing one thing or the other for the success of the Party….

Precious and tola was in the sitting room, making phone calls to thier friends which they invited to the party ,they kept gisting about what to wear and which makeup artist to call…

They were getting me Seriously irritated while joke kept mimicking them …..

Joke: Wetin dey do all this jellyfish sef … Nawa o, nah them go first be rich man pikin… Mtcheew ..she hissed…

Mama femi: Laughing… My dear it’s thier time let them enjoy it …

Nkechi: But wait o, I never see Melvin oo

On hearing melvin’s name ,my heart beat increased… Even is name alone makes me shiver …am I under some sort of spell… I asked myself…

Mama femi: Maybe he is still asleep …

We focused on the cooking there were alot to be done, jollofrice, friedrice, salad, pounded yam, amala ,semo and a whole lot of snacks.. it was so tiring and stressful, and the annoying part is tola and precious kept patrolling round the kitchen observing and tasting every food cooked… It was around 12pm before we we able to finish the whole cooking, we proceeded to the sitting room for the cleaning and arranging before the arrival of the guest …it was while we were cleaning Melvin walked into the sitting room,it was mama femi that created the awareness…

Mama femi: Good morning my son.

On hearing that I looked up Cus I know she was referring to Melvin …and our eyes met again …I quickly knelt down and greeted him ….

Me: Good morning sir …

Melvin: Smiled … Good morning Keji ..

Woah, did he just called my name, even the way he called my name was so sexy …ke-ji … Is like I just won a jackpot …

Melvin: Good morning mama femi, hope you slept well

Mama femi: Yes my son ,and Why are you just waking up..she asked

Melvin: Mama femi ,you know me too well, you know I don’t sleep anyhow..

They both laughed, .I kept cleaning the chair and listening to thier conversation…

Mama femi: So why are you just coming down… This is 12:50pm already..

Melvin: Yes I know , I was doing something on my system…

Mama femi: Alright my son , and hope you are ………

Before mama femi could finish her statement,tola interrupted running towards Melvin, hugged him to tight that I could not help it …..

Tola: Still hugging Melvin …. Oh Melvin why are you just coming down , have been to your room, I knocked like forever but no response… She sounded pained.

Melvin: Disengaging himself from are firmness… I was actually busy ..

Tola: Too busy to open the door for me…

What exactly does she want to go and do in his room ,.. mtcheew this girl can be very annoying I Said to myself …

Melvin: Tola I am sorry …

Sorry for what nah … No be only sorry …

Mama femi: Keji are you done with the cleaning..

Me: Oh yes Ma

Mama femi: Oya let’s go ..

We left the sittingroom leaving tola and Melvin while she kept carressing his body ….

We got to the kitchen nkechi and joke were busy gisting and discussing ….

Mama femi: You girls should start preparing for the real work o…

Me: Real work … I asked confused….

Mama femi: Yes, serving is the main work …

Me: Confused… But how is it ?

Mama femi: Don’t you know how stressful it can be, especially serving the rich , my dear they can send you on the same errand 20times

Me: Really… But why should it be..

Keji!! Keji!!

Me: Ma … I quickly ran to the sitting room Cus I knew it was tola calling me, and failure to answer on time then am so in trouble….

Me: Yes ma…

Tola: Holding melvin’s hand …And why did it take you an hour to answer ehn …. She angrily…

Me: Am sorry Ma..

Tola: Didn’t you hear the Bell ring…

Me: I didn’t ma … Nawa o, so she can’t open the door by herself or better still call one of the guards in the sitting room… Is me that is in the kitchen she nah see to call… Mtcheew….

I quickly ran to the door and opened it… I saw a very beautiful light skinned lady with a box ,the box looks like a makeup box .. she so much looks like a model …

Me: Good afternoon Ma..

Lady: Afternoon..

Me: Come in

Lady: Thanks

I ushered her in, immediatly she saw tola ,they both shouted ,ran towards each other and hugged themselves, I just quickly walked past the whole drama and head to the kitchen…

Mama femi: Who is that …

Me: I think she is a makeup artist, but it looks like they are friends…

Joke: Nawa o, So because of welcome party dey go hire makeup artist..

Nkechi: Too much money nah …see you…

I was not even paying any attention to their discussion … I was just thinking of how tola has been all over Melvin , or are they already on good terms… I asked myself…
