“Phillipee?Baby,where are you?”Rose’s voice rung out from the living room.The living room can be seen to have pretty chandeliers,brightly shinning down from the ceiling with fine linens hovering on every sides.It was quite admirable and one could see it for which it was…..
“Phillipee!!!”Phillipee’s mother called louder this time as she rocked her younger son,Leo to sleep.
“Baby….”

“Coming mother.I’m coming”the little boy said,racing downstairs,with his fancy bag pack swaying on his back.

“Oh,goodness son!You’re running late already and your school bus is waiting outside.And goodness me!What in the world did you to to your hair?”she smiled running her hands on his curly brown hair.

“Oh,ma.I just finished combing it”he laughed wiggling off from her.

“Hmm,that smell?”she said thinking as her nostrils captured the scent of her hair shampoo.
“You used my shampoo?Gosh,baby how many times did I tell you not to touch it”she scolded softly,rolling her eyes at him,that was exactly the same as Leo’s.
“You do know you’re not allowed to use that cause you’re still a….”

“A baby?”he cut in,squeezing his face.
“C’mon mother.I’m nine already”he laughed,bending forth to kiss his baby brother.
“See ya LeLe.Big brother will be back soon,all right?Don’t miss me much”he said to him patting his little head gently.

“Oh,I wasn’t saying that baby.I’m only looking out for you,you know?You know very well that thing could get into your eyes and I do know you don’t want that”

“Yeah,yeah mom!I’ve heard you.I won’t do it next time”

“You better not.Oh my,look at the time.You better hurry now or they’ll leave you behind”

“Sure mama.Byeee.You too Lee!”

“Be safe baby.I love you”

“Moo……oom!!!”

“I said I love you”she chuckled making towards him.

“Mom,stop.I’m not a baby anymore”he laughed feigning a frown.

“Haha!But you act like one.Oh,you better hurry,so your dad won’t come downstairs and start yelling.You do know how he is”

“Ha!Yeah right”

“Aww,my baby is so handsome”she teased planting a kiss on his cheek.
“I bet you’ll grow up to be a fine young man,just like your father”

“Ha!I wish not”he mumbled.

“What did you say now?”

“Nothing mommy.I love you”he chuckled hurrying outside.

“Oh,I love you baby”

❀Nine hours later❀
“Yo mum!I’m home now”he spoke with enthusiasm as he raced inside.
“Hmm,where is everybody?”he muttered under his breath as he searched for them.
“Mum….Dad?Where are you?”Mum…….”he called as he heard the front door pop open,making him jumpey.

“Grandma?Oh,man!You scared me grams”

“Oh son…Oh!”she breathed,embracing him before he could say anything as tears dropped from her eyes.

“Grams?Hmm,why are you crying?Did something happen?Where is mom and dad?And LeLe too”he asked feeling frightened.

“Oh,my baby!My baby”she continued with the weeping,getting him in an even more confused state.

“Grandma where are they?I want to see my mother and father.I want to see mommy grandma.Where did they go to?They ought to be back by now”he said

impatiently,slipping out from her arms as he fixed his eyes on the wall clock that struck 4 O’clock.
“It’s taking really long now.Why haven’t they come back yet grandma?”

“Son,your..your parents are in a better place now”she said shakily,drawing closer to him.

“What do you mean grandma?What do you mean they are in a better place?Do tell me grandma.I want to go see them in the better place along with Leo”he aid clutching onto her as grandma Hennia said nothing.
“Why aren’t you saying anything grandma?Are they sick?Where are they?I need to see them”

“Oh,my grandson!You can’t do that anymore.Your mum and dad are both gone,along with your brother.Oh!”

“Mom and dad a-are gone?Along with Leo?What do you mean by that grandma?And where did they go too?”

“Oh!They’re all gone son.You’ll never be able to see them again.I’m so sorry”

“Gone?As in de-dead?”he questioned as his eyes grew wider.

“No?No!Mom and dad can’t be dead…They can’t be dead,can they grandma?Mom promised she’ll always be with me.Why did she have to leave…No!Mommy…daddy…Where are you….?Mommy….”

Phil,could hear his little voice echoing aloud,repeatedly in his ears.It’s being a really long time now but he never forgot all about it for it remained every green in some part of his mind.He wandered endlessly,far lost in thoughts as he felt a tap on his shoulders,bringing him back to reality.

“You okay?”Trish’s voice came,as she sat on the grass alongside.

“Yeah…I think?”

“Well,I don’t expect a yes after everything that’s happened.Here!You need this more than I do”she smiled shoving the bottle of Gatorade in his hand.

“Thanks”

“So….what’s it gonna be?”she chipped in again.
“I talked with Derek though and uhm,he seemed a bit sorry…I guess?You know Derek.Gosh!Our lives are really really weird”she chuckled slightly,taking a deep breath.

“Yeah.I can’t believe my own brother actually tried to kill me”

“I know how you feel but hey,you don’t have to take it like that.He wouldn’t have thought of something like that if he knew you two were related”she said consoling him,with her arms all wrapped up around his shoulders.

“You don’t understand Tricia.You don’t understand how much I grew to hate him,totally unaware that I was hating on my own flesh and blood.God!Why does it have to be like this?”
“You know,I can’t help but think  that all this drama started…”

“Hold on.Are you trying to say it’s my fault now?”she asked bewildered raising her brows at him.

“No?No Trish,I wasn’t saying that.It’s totally not your fault..really”

“Then,what are you insinuating?”

“I was only saying that…Uh,you know what,just scratch that out.Don’t wanna talk about it”

“Hmm,oh well,you hungry?You want me to get you something?You haven’t eaten since morn,you know and I’m starting to get worried”

“Nah,I’m cool.I just need some time alone”he sighed burying his head in his palms.

“Some time alone?Heh!So,now you want me to leave?”she scoffed,totally not believing his sudden change of attitude.

“C’mon Trish,don’t get me wrong.I’m only saying I need sometime alone.So I can think and you know,get use to the whole thing.Just please let me be for now…all right?”

“Oh…Oh,I..Uh,I didn’t realise that.I should go then”

“Trish?”

“No…No,I perfectly understand.Take care of yourself Phil.I’ll be leaving now”

“No wait…Trish!”

“What Phil?Just say it.Look me in the eye and tell me that you regret everything you ever felt for me.Do it Phillip cause I’m seeing you’re starting to blame me for everything.Believe me,if I knew things were going to be this way,I wouldn’t have loved any of you.Now,you’re starting to think it’s my fault.Gosh!”

“No Trish.It’s not your fault in anyway and I don’t regret every loving you.Believe me”he said,drawing nearer as he cupped her face.
“I love you Tricia.I really do but our love can’t stand for now,not when everything isn’t going right…”

“So you’re giving up,is that it?”

“No.I’m not saying I am but we can’t be together not until everything is at peace…where you and I,will be together without anyone getting in our way.I’m sorry Trish,but I can’t do this anymore”

“Phil no…No,you can’t.I know you don’t want to do this.I know you don’t want to.Why do you want to let go now?Wh-what about our kids?What about me?Have you thought about what will happen to me?Why…why?”

“I’m sorry,believe me I really am but I have to do this…For you!I’ll see you soon Tricia Matthews….”

“Mac,is what I’m hearing really true?Tricia’s husband is really your biological brother?”Ray asked feeling astonished.

“Yeap.Life’s a f-----g b---h man”he laughed,getting his legs crossed.

“Whoa!Who could even guess that.Man!But how did Trish take it?Hope she didn’t faint this time?”

“Haha!No.Of course not.Hven’t seen her for days though but I do miss her”

“You do know you can’t avoid her right?C’mon man,you’re doing it all wrong.You really need to go see her,especially now she isn’t her right mind”

“Uh,how do you mean?She should be happy.She’s got her husband”

“Well,you’re seeing what she wants you to believe but she ain’t good man.I can’t believe you’re avoiding granny’s house just because of her”

“Well,what do you want me to do?I can’t make her leave.Wait,hang on,did you say you saw her?W-well how is she?Did you see a tear?”

“Heh!Oh,no man.But how facial look does say it all.You really have to go see her.Besides,she’s also a victim here.You can’t blame her for what went on man”

“I know but gosh,I don’t know..I just…I just can’t Ray.And knowing that Derek is really my brother,I don’t know I’ll ever be able to get hold of her again.I can’t believe things are really goong on this way”

“This way?So you’re giving up?After all these years?”

“I don’t have a choice.I love Tricia but I just can’t continue with this fight even though she’s also the mother of my kids.And you do know Derek has full advantage over her because she’s his legal wife and me,I’m….I’m just..Oh!I don’t even know what to say”he voiced out frustratedly,rolling his sleeves up.

“Of course she is but you just can’t give up now.We’ve come a long way and besides Trish loves you more than you even know and you can’t just leave her off like with your girls involved in all these.That’d affect them too”

“Well,what do you want me to do?It’s not like I want to lose her again but I need to do what’s right.She’s better off without me.She deserves to be happy and I want her to be.I really want her to”

“Sir,someone’s here to see you.He said is a brother of yours.Should I let him in?”Connor,Mac’s PA cut in from outside.

“Why,speak of the devil”Ray chuckled by the corner,getting up as he threw a quick glance at Phil.

“Heh.Well,let him in”he said as Derek walked in.

“Hey bro.Surprise!”Derek smiled making towards him.

“Hey…Not so fast!”Ray said,coming in front.

“It’s okay Ray.He can’t do anything”he said signalling to Ray to leave.

“So….to what do I owe this visit Derek?Does your wife know you’re here?”

“Trish?C’mon,you and I know that she’s been hounding me for a long time now but that’s not why I’m here.Actually,I came to apologize for everything.I’m truly sorry for everything I caused you Phil.I hope you can forgive me big bro”

“You’re sorry?Heh!You shouldn’t be apologizing to me but to Trish instead cause you hurt her more”

“And that’s why I need your help.Please Phil.She won’t even look at me and I’m so ashamed of everything I’ve done”he said feeling remorseful.

“Well,I don’t know.Owning to the fact you tried to kill me a thousand times?Ha,you’re definitely talking to the wrong guy”he scoffed relaxing back on his chair.

“Oh,c’mon,I said I’m sorry.It’s being eight years now.Are you still mad at me…?”

“Oh,you have no idea dude.I would have been dead probably and maybe,you wouldn’t have even realized your mistake if not you got to know that I was your blood but like you say,it’s all in the past now.So I totally have no grudge against you”he smiled,letting his hand out for an handshake.

“Oh,thank you.Thank you so much.So we’re bros then?”

“I guess so.We certainly are”
