Read Story: SEASON 2 EPISODE 14

The four visitors were no other people but Mr.Ekun,Mrs.Ekun,Emmanuella Ekun and Miss Ekeinde,Emilia’s friend,who was her Chief bride’s maid on her wedding day. They came in,carrying solemn and pitiable looks.

Barr.Ebere: What are you people doing here,have you come to tell me it was your daughter that murdered my son.

Mr.Eze: Calm down,Ebere calm down. Please sit down.

Mr.Ekun: Thank you (Mr.Ekun sat down,but his wife and entourage refused to sit down).

Mrs.Ekun: The sitting can wait,please we came to beg you to spare our daughter,we can settle the case amicably. Please!

Barr.Ebere: What,you want to resolve this peacefully,no,no,the offence involves a death penalty according to the Nigerian constitution.

Mr.Eze: Forget constitution for now. What do you have to say? As a matter of fact,i supported the marriage but now i see no reason for your daughter to murder my son.(Frowns).

Mrs.Ekun: I don’t know if the finger-print analysis was correct,my daughter can’t do such a thing. I’m sure she didn’t kill your son.

Barr.Ebere: Are you now trying to say the finger print analysis was incorrect? That it was forged,en! Tell me Mrs.Ekun. (Stands up and starts shouting).

Eric: Mummy sit down,don’t mind them,after killing my brother,they are trying to forge a c--k and bull story.

Einstein: I think we should liisten to them.

Mrs.Ekun: That’s not what i meant,BarristerEbere.

Mr.Ekun: I watched my daughter keenly through out the period,i and Barr.Ebere refused on their marriage. I was able to observe that Emilia really loved Ebuka,she barely ate was fond of breaking glassware when washing dishes due to the fact that her concentration was now on her union with Ebuka and nothing less,i can see no reason why somebody behaving like that would kill her heart-rob after being giving the chance to marry him,it doesn’t make any sense. Just think about it.

Barr.Ebere: What a lie! Blatant lie,Mr.Ekun how long did it take you to rehearse that lie? What an excellent effort! Your daughter didn’t love my son,she never did. You’re just trying to defend your nasty daughter.

Einstein: With what Mr.Ekun just said,i agree with him,how can a lady given the chance to marry her heart-rob ,who was initially not given consent,do such a thing? You are right sir!

Eric: Einstein! Einstein! I thought you were my brother’s most intimate friend,why are you standing by this liars now,though you’re older than me,i must say you are very foolish (Everyone were watching how Einstein who was even older than Ebuka with some months would react to the matter,surprised by Eric’s utterance. Only Barrister Ebere was unmoved,it seemed she was comfortable with what she said).
