Sandra POV

After the operation last night, seriously i wasn’t happy about what happened in that house, I can’t imagine going there without not getting any money from the house. The following morning i went home, though Afeez had call to tell me that we shall be going back to the house the following night which i have been preparing for, but due to the stress from last night operation, so i felt tired and slept that morning, after some hours of sleep then i woke up, I went to freshen up, so i decided to call Stanley, I picked my phone to dial his number when i saw a notification message, I opened it just for me to see four missed call, Stanley had called while i was still sleeping. I dial his number again but then it wasn’t responding, I tried severally but it wasn’t responding, after series of trier then i decided to call Afeez at least i can hear from him maybe i can talk to him through his phone, I dial Afeez number which he picked up after the second ring, hello i said as we both greeted, then he told me about Stanley condition and where he was, seriously i couldn’t believe what i heard, where is the hospital i ask as i took my phone along with me, I got to the hospital that night, then everywhere seems busy, everyone was busy with one thing or the other, i was about calling Afeez number when i sight him at one corner of the hospital, oh that’s him i said as i went to him, then i saw Abdul too, how come and what happened i asked immediately i got to where he was staying then the boy told me he didn’t know too, just that he he was been called by a neighbor passing so he rushed to the scene, seriously i couldn’t believe that, i waited all night for him in the hospital, though i tried to see him but Afeez told me his condition is critical which make me not to see him that night, so we all waited for him throughout that night, but then we waited for the doctor so we can hear the latest news about Stanley from him, around 10 o’clock that night, then i saw Afeez stood up guess he must have seen the doctor walking out of the hospital so he was fast enough to catch up with him before we got there too, after some talk with the Doctor, then he told us that Stanley isn’t responding to treatment so reason why he’s scared too, hearing this, i couldn’t decide on what to do, seriously i felt like crying, for many years now i couldn’t believe that my feelings for Stanley was a different one, I went down on my knee as i beg him to please save him, after some talk then the doctor assured us that he will be fine, we just need to keep praying for him he said. Throughout that night i couldn’t sleep, I just wish he never got into fright, i cried throughout the night, though Afeez was sad about it too, i noticed that he wasn’t happy but i don’t care, Abdul in the other hand was seen crying too, God please save Stanley for me i said as the water kept coming from my eyes.

The following morning i couldn’t wait any longer just wish to see him, but then the nurse wasn’t allowing me to see him. After some hour then i saw the same doctor rushing out from his office, i was the first person to see him, though he wasn’t waiting because then he was been called for an urgent mission in the hospital, but i was fast enough to meet up with him, sorry doctor i called before he later waited, sorry I said, i was about talking when he stopped me, you mean the guy at ward 7 he asked, though i don’t know the exact ward where Stanley was but i managed to nod my head in a way that means yes, then he told me that Stanley is yet to wake up but there’s 50% possibility for him, really, how come the injury is taken up to days before he could wake up I groan God please save him, I went back to meet Afeez who saw me while coming, I told him exactly what the doctor told me about Stanley condition, seriously Afeez felt bad about the news too, then i noticed Abdul screamed God why now.

That night that we came back from the hospital, I was just moody throughout that night, though Abbey came to my room and later left, but I noticed the way he was staring at me throughout our talk in the room, after he left, I went to the kitchen to get myself something to eat, because then i just felt like eating something despite the fact that we have eaten, I just want to eat anything, so i walked down to the kitchen to search for food, thank goodness that i saw some indomie sachet so i boiled two, though i have went to ask Amaka if she’s also interested with my cook, she told me she will eat a little. So i boiled two indomie sachet, after some minutes, the food was ready, then i served myself and for my sister, I was about going to Amaka room to give her her own portion of the food when i heard Abbey voice, he was inside Mrs Linda his mom, I heard him complaining about me to her mom but her mom told him how hardworking I’m am, after some talk, then i got to realize that he was feeling jealous of me, I smiled as i passed through the room passage to Amaka room, I went back to my room as well. The following morning i woke up as early as possible i thought it will be a work day for me as usual but then Mrs Linda told me we should wait till the next monday since today is friday, so i was doing all the necessary things while Amaka was awake too, she was doing some of the house work, but then i noticed that i haven’t seen Abbey this morning, but since i don’t want to be too forward, i continued with what i was doing, after some hour, he was still not up or seen anywhere around the house so i decided to check on him since he just got back from the hospital, but first I went to meet Mrs Linda to ask her if she knew anything about his whereabouts, I knocked at her door, after the second knock then she asked me to open up, I went inside as i greeted, we talked for a while before i asked him if he had seen Abbey that morning at first he was surprised too, do you mean he’s yet to come out of his room she asked, yes ma i haven’t seen him this morning ma i answered. Please help me check him in his room she requested, alright ma i said as i left her room, i went to Abbey’s room after the third knock then he told me to open up, I opened the door, then he was still laying on his bed, good morning i greeted as i went in, I think he never knew it’s me, oh Anita she called immediately she noticed me, I told him i came to check on him since i haven’t seen him today, i saw him smile, thank you he said, since you’re fine i will be leaving now i said as was about leaving the room then he stopped me, please can i get some water he said. Okay I will help you get it i said as i went out of his room.
