Mr Linda POV

After we got home that that evening i couldn’t stop thinking about it, what if the gang come back again, this was what that was coming to my brain despite the fact that the police had came and also assured us that the gang cannot come back again though i never believe the officers, what if they come back i said to myself as i open my wardrobe, the time was quarter past eight but i couldn’t sleep that night, I was in my room just standing at one corner of the house, after some minutes, then i heard a knock, I went to open the door after which my boy had told me he’s the one, he came inside, after some talk then i asked him about what happened to him earlier yesterday. He told me that the argument comes up when a female friend of him came to visit him in his hostel, then some guys followed him to his hostel that afternoon, so he went out to go get him some minerals since that’s what she said she want, though he had looked inside his fridge but then he noticed that he didn’t have minerals inside so he went down the street to go get one for her that was after some minutes of her arrival, So he was on his way when some guys attacked him and warn him not to see the girl with him again, but Abbey was known for his stubbornness, so i think he was rude to the guys so the guys got angry and they got into fright, so that was how he got injured he said. Seriously i felt pity for the boy, where is the girl i said, but to my surprise the lady never knew that something had happened to him throughout the time that he was been rushed to the nearest hospital.

Anyway it’s fine now, your mom is here i said as i hug him, after some while, then he asked me about Anita and Amaka, though i was expecting him to ask me about it since that was his first time of seeing the girls, then i explained how i got to meet the girls, at first he felt pity for the two girls but later said its fine, now that they’re here things will be fine, so what’s your plan for the girls he asked, he was surprised to hear that Anita was in charge of my other shop, the one at Ojota, at first i noticed his eyes, what are you thinking i asked him, after some silent then he asked if i truly trust her, though i was expecting such question too because the last time he was home, most of the girls have employed to the shop only run with my money so he was right for asking, but i knew Anita can’t be like that, she’s a hardworking girl I said, the truth is that since she had taken charge of that shop, I have beginning to see changes from the sales coming from the shop, at least the rate was almost 50% increase than usual sales which we do made in a day, she’s just the perfect person for the shop i said while smiling, I saw him manage to smile as well, you must have liked her he said, how do you know i tease then he told me that he got to know during our section at the dinner, I saw the way you care for her even more than your own son he said, Abbey don’t tell me you’re jealous already i said as we both laugh anyway you know i love you, just that i want you to change your way of doing, I mean your wayward way i said as he nodded his head in a way that means okay, later that night he went back to his room.

I couldn’t believe what i just heard the doctor said, so Stanley case has turn to prayer. God please don’t let him die, i said while sitting, seriously i just want him to be fine. We got lots to still do together, not even now that we have gotten our own gun i said.

After some hours of staying, I went to get some drugs, the doctor had come to inform me about the drugs some minutes back, so i went to go get it , I was on my way when my phone rang, it was Sandra calling, I picked it up, hello i said immediately after the phone got connected, after some talks, I told her about Stanley condition and where I’m presently, from my instincts i noticed how shocked she was to hear about the news, I told him the address to the hospital which he promised to join me soon. I got to the pharmacy store where i bought the drugs after some walks, I got to the hospital where Abdul was standing, what happened i asked him, then he told me he couldn’t understand what the nurse where saying inside, but is like he heard them saying you’re too late, hearing this i quickly rushed inside to where the doctor was staying, I gave the drugs to him, though he complained about my lateness from the pharmacy but thank God that everything is still fine he said while i sigh. I went back to where i was sitting, this time it was getting dark already and people where seen moving out of the hospital while others where going to their various ward.

After some minutes then Sandra came inside the hospital, she was wearing a black polo with a long trouser jean. She rushed to meet me immediately she sight us at where we were sitting, how come, what happened this was the questions she was asking, but then Abdul was fast to reply her since he was the one that called me, though we don’t know what happened and neither do we meet any of those guys but we rushed him here i said, so where is he now, i told her what the doctor told me about him which makes him to be more scared. She sat with us at the hospital as we all waited for the doctor, maybe he’s awake so we can know. The time was 10 o’clock when we saw the doctor moving out of the hospital, but i was fast enough to catch up with him, hello doctor i said immediately i got to him, we were still talking when Sandra and Abdul got to meet us.

After some talk, I couldn’t believe that Stanley his not responding to treatment the doctor said, then i heard Sandra kneeing down begging him not to let him die, at first i thought it was normal not until she started crying, the doctor assured us that they’re working on hin and he believes he will be alright and tell us
all to keep praying for him. That night was a bad one for me.
