Adams: common don’t be ridiculous, we are not washing any plate..

Chioma:so what is the solution now,time is not on our side..

Adams:wait lemme think….

Chioma:why don’t you call you sister am sure she might help..

Adams:my sister?,hell no she will make sure I wash the plate for skipping class…

Chioma:oooooh am worried,my mum might start looking for me..

waiter:excuse me where is your payment?

Adams: uhm pls can you hold this 3000?,I think I kind of lost 2000 on my way here..

Waiter:am sorry you have to pay me 5000(he said coldly),If you don’t have,I will have to ask you two to follow me to our restaurant’s kitchen…

Chioma:to do what?wash plate? (I asked in fear)**

Waiter: am afraid yes..
I looked at Adams who was trying not to laugh…

Chioma: Adams you think this is funny right?,so this is your plan,to bring me here to wash plate abi..

Adams: no nah,just don’t panic I got this?,sorry sir pls give me some minutes lemme call my friend here(as he pulled out his phone to search for Sean’s number)…

Adams: yes,his the only person who can help us now***

Chioma:that one?,are you sure he will give you money?,somebody that is disturbing my friend mj because of 500…

Adams: (he laughed), sean is not stingy,he was only joking with mj,he was only trying to have fun,that his personality…

Chioma:anyway just call him fast let get out of here,is not as if the ice cream is even sweet seff…

(Adams looked at me with the corner of his eye as he raised one of his eye brow)..

Adams: so it now you realized the ice cream is bitter***

Adams: am shaking my head for you, anyway I will face you later(as he pressed the phone on his ear)….

Sean's POV

we got to the electric stairs that moves on it own…

mj:wait are we going up on this (pointing at the steps)..
*
Sean: yes nah,don’t tell me you’re scared to climb
*
mj:scared?(she scoffed), why will I be scared?,something I climb almost every weekend I come here..

Sean: hmm,I hear you mrs laide…

mj:mtcheew you think am lying abi?,watch me (as she walked up to the stairs to join other people moving up), I followed her closely,immediately she stepped on it,it started moving up immediately, she lost her balance and fell backwards, thank God I was close to her…
before she touched the floor I caught her..
we stare at each other eyes for some seconds, I looked at her pure innocent eyes,her cute soft lips, I feel like kissing her right now…

mj:uhhh sean what wrong?, aren’t you going to pull me up?,people are watching us..

Sean: oh sorry(as I carried her up immediately)….

Sean: I come here every weekend(i mocked her)***

mj:whatever, help me up,I don’t want to fall again..

Sean: alright just hold my hand,when I go, you will step on it,don’t remove your hand ooo,because if you fall down and break your head,hospital is not far from here…

Sean:oya 1..2..3..go(we both stepped on it), we we’re almost to the last step we I noticed some flash on us…

Sean:did you see that?

mj:see what?

Sean: the flash on us just now…

mj:could it be one of those photographers wearing black polos(as she pointed ahead of us)..
they we’re looking at us smiling as we approached them…
immediately we stopped,one of them came to us…

photographer:well done boss, this pictures really looks perfect for you and your girlfriend…

(mj and I looked at each other shyly and remove our gaze)..

Sean:where are the pictures?..

photographer: check these out(as he showed us some cute pictures he took of us holding hands unaware),I can give you guys these pictures within 5 minutes…

Sean: mj what do you think of these pictures?

mj:I like them,we can collect it…
*
Sean: okay guy hurry up we don’t have time…

(we waited for him as he entered a particular room filled with other photographers***

Sean: mj just stand there lemme give you some shots(as i stepped back)

mj:alright (as she gave different pose,bringing out her tongue and pushing out her ass,flinging her hair,raising up her two fingers)***

Sean: I like this particular one..

Sean: this one (as I showed her the one she brought out her tongue)***

mj:why do you prefer this one I brought out my tongue? instead of you to like another one?..

Sean: because it reminds me of the bull dog I have at home, it always brings out h
it tongue(as I bursted into laughter)…

mj:wow,you’re mad (as she gave me a punch on my chest)

Sean:ouch, why did you do that?,I will do my own back…

mj:you want to punch a lady back on her chest?

Sean: yes,you think am joking?

mj:I hope you know what is covering my chest?

Sean: what is covering your chest?,open it lemme see.(as i moved closer to her)..

(she bursted into laughter)…

mj:you’re not serious sean,lemme see your pictures, I gave her my phone as she started scrolling..
most of all the pictures on my phone are funny pictures and little of mine with my family and Adams,and me and my rotwiller(bull dog)***

photographer: okay boss,here are the pictures (as he handed us the a white envelope),I opened it and saw 5 different pictures and 1photocopies each of us laughing and holding hands on the electric stairs as I mocked her making it ten

Sean: how much?

photographer: it just #3000…
I brought out 4k and handed it to him..

sean: you fit keep the change,use am buy card…
*
photographer: I feel you boss,hold your babe tight oo,sharp guys dey around oo…

Sean:mj let go to the cinema…

we entered the cinema and joined the little queue waiting to collect ticket..

Sean: mj just wait here for me lemme go and bring the list of movies available….

I collected the small magazine and saw the list of movies..

4:the perfect holiday
5:Haunted house

I took them to mj….

Sean: so which them can we watch?,they already started 3 among them which are black panther, Titanic and dirty grandpa…

mj:thank God they already started dirty grandpa, i don’t want to see anything dirty this night…

Sean:so what can we watch?

mj:mmm how bout we watch Haunted house because I love horror movies…
*
Sean: no pls,I want to sleep in peace this night, I hate horror movies,choose something else…

mj:since you hate horror let just watch perfect holiday am sure that would be nice…

Sean: that perfect…
*
we finally collected and paid for our tickets…
we got to the entrance of the movie rooms when a man who was the bouncer collected mj’s ticket and tore it into two, she looked at the man in shock, I gently gave him mine and he tore it also…

mj:excuse me bros, what kind of rubbish is this nah?(as she looked at him with rage)…

bouncer:I beg your pardon..

mj:keep your begging, why did you tear the ticket I just bought nah,do you think we came here to play?

bouncer:but this how we…

mj:don’t tell me any but, i swear bros,you will pay for our tickets you just tore…

(I couldn’t stop laughing),some people passing joined in laughing too..

bouncer: guy talk to your babe nah..

Sean:mj look, look at others passing with their tickets been divided into two, are they not entering?

(the bouncer went back to tearing others people’s tickets)..

mj:you should have told told me all this things before we entered nah..

Sean: see next time,if you see anything you don’t know ask me first before you disgrace your family tree,even if you want to sit down and you don’t know how to sit, just tap me you hear?

we entered room 305 and saw a large hall with few people sitting, some advertisement of the movie we we’re about to watch was showing on the large screen, the room was stuffed with Ac..

mj:so this is how cinema looks like?,I only see them in movies…

we walked to the back and sat Down on two empty seat by the edge…
after some minutes the place became flooded with people,and the movie started..

the whole place was dark and silent except the large 3D screen which was very loud for everybody to hear..

Sean: mj I will be right back,need to get some popcorns(I whispered), she nodded***

immediately I left the room,my phone started ringing, I viewed the screen and saw Adams calling….

Sean: yo gee hwfa?

Adams: guy what’s up, where are you pls?

Sean: uhh…am not home oo…
*
Adams: so where are you now?
*
Sean: am at the cinema right now with a friend…
*
Adams: oh thank God, see I need your help right now…

Sean: hope you’re not into any trouble?

Adams:not that big trouble sha,the thing is,am also in shoprite right now with my babe,so after buying some other things we ate in a restaurant….

Sean:see pls just go straight to the point am busy right now…

Adams: we are stranded in the ice cream store right now, we consumed ice cream worth 5k but my last card now is 3k ,just help us pay quickly or we go see gbege why we came late at home…

Chioma:look Adams (as I pointed to the clock),it past 8 already and we are still here…

Adams: don’t worry,I will ride very fast before 8:30…

Sean suddenly bursted inside and walked toward where we stood beside the counter..

Chioma:helloo,did I drink the ice cream alone?

Sean: am sure you’re the one that will cause the gbese nah,because am sure you drank as if your mummy owns this place…

Adams: see guy stop nah,why you dey yab my babe nah…

Sean: see Adams keep your 3k,lemme goan pay(as he walked to the counter and pointed towards us before giving the waiter 5k)…

Sean: nah don’t bother, you’re my guy nah,am one call away anytime, if not that you’re my guy ehh,I swear down your babe no go only wash plate,she go wash pot,mop floor and do security(as he ran away in laughter)**,Adams too joined in laughing…

Chioma: see sean(I yelled),he turned to look at me,take(as I spread my hands at him),WAKA…(they both bursted into laughter again)***

Chioma:get out jor(as stormed out of the store to go outside)..

Adams:no nah,you should know he was only joking (as he followed me pleading), he finally caught up with me,gave me a pack and threw his hands on my shoulder..

few seconds later,Adams was pedaling fast like somebody running for Olympics…

we drove pass a particular place where some water pipes bursted, he rode fast as the pipe splashed on us making our clothes almost completely wet..

Adams passed his house and screeched to a stop at my gate,I quickly get down and handed him his helmet…

Chioma:I love you Adams,I really had fun today..

Adams: I love you more Chioma (as we drew into a passionate kiss),we finally separated after it looks like forever, go I inside now before your mum get worried…

I walked towards my gate and stood to look at him, he was about moving when he stopped to look at me,he blew a kiss at me with his palm,I caught it imaginary and blew it back at him,he caught it and pretended to swallow it(i laughed a little)…

Adams: I’ll call you tonight(as he put his hands on his ear then he rode off)..

I quickly ran inside my gate, I stood at my front door,did the sign of the cross before opening and getting in**

I met my mum who got dressed and was about opening the door to go out to look for me before I entered…

mum:(sigh) oh Jesus,Chioma where have you been nah,I’ve been worried sick..

(I have to compose a lie)

Chioma:am sorry mum’we already closed when mr davis told us to wait for some minutes to fill some forms for our certificate, I was the 20th on the queue that why am just coming now…

mum:I was about coming to the academy( she suddenly saw my wet clothes), Chioma why are you wet like this?, is it raining? (as she opened the curtain to check),it not raining nah…

Chioma:oh I mistakenly turn on the shower in their bathroom I thought it was the flush so before I could off it back,it had already made me wet…

mum:sorry ooo,am sure you’re cold just go in and change and come eat dinner I prepared…

Chioma:uhm about dinner….am not really hungry, I need to go and sleep now, good night…

mum:okay good night baby (as she came close and gave me a kiss on the forehead)….

I entered into my room and quickly changed into a dry clean pajamas before jumping into bed,I covered myself with my thick duvet as I began to feel sleepy…

Adams POV

I parked my bike beside my house before entering, I entered and saw the TV on,I quickly switch off the TV and was about tiptoeing upstairs when a voice stopped me…

mum:Adams where are you coming from by this time?,I turned and saw her sitting in a white mini couch beside the hall that led to the visitors room…

Adams: mum remember I told you in the morning I will be going to Sean’s house,so am just coming from his place…
*
mum:you never told me it was in the night, hold on lemme call sean..

(now am bursted)**

she put on her recommended glass before searching for his number…
*
oh God I hope sean will cooperate oo,he finally picked, we could hear loud noises in the background…

Sean: hello ma’am..

mum:how are you sean and and your studies?..
*
Sean: we bless God ma..

mum:ehm..where is Adams coming from just now?(he became silent for some seconds)***

mum:hello can you hear me?

Sean: oh yes.. yes ma I can hear you, his actually just coming from my house, we we’re watching movies together before he discovered he was late…

Adams: no mum am full(as I ran up the stairs),I could hear some foreign music coming out from my sister’s room,I entered my room and quickly undress and put on my pyjamas…

I lay gently on my pillow with my gaze on the ceiling thinking about the fun I had with my star..

I took my phone from my reading table to call her….
