DESPERATE PLIGHT (Travails Of a hero ) [completed] Season 2

MR DAVIDSON’S RESIDENCE
:
Mr Davidson barged into his sitting room and
quickly ran up the stairs while Thelma who
followed him behind closed the door and also
ran upstairs. On getting upstairs, Mr Davidson
hurriedly turned left and headed to his room…
:
INSIDE THE ROOM
:
Mr Davidson knelt beside his bed, carried up
the mattress and brought out an hand gun
which still looked very new and smiled.
“Dad!” Thelma shouted as her eyes widened in
horror. “You’re not a soldier neither are you a
policeman, how and where did you get a
license to use a gun?” she asked with her
hands akimbo.


The father ignored her and stood up. Then
walked to the door while putting the gun in his
trouser pocket.


“Dad!” Thelma called again. “You can’t do
this.”


“No one can stop me!” threq father said
without turning and made to leave but then his
wife who had heard voices, walked and
stopped infront of him.


“Honey, whats going on here?” he asked but
the husband just smiled ruefully and walked
past her. She was surprised and turned to
Thelma. “Thelma! What…” she began again.
“Nothing mum,” Thelma cut her short and also
left the room.
:
OUTSIDE THE ROOM
:
Thelma quickly ran to her own room and
removed her own gun from her drawer with
shells. Then she turned and was about to leave
the room but her mum stopped her..


“Thelma, what’s going on and where are you
going to with this gun?” the mother asked with
concern and fear written all over face.


“Worry not mother, I will take care of myself,
excuse me,” Thelma said and with that ran out
of the room, down the stairs while the mother
slumped on the floor beside the door in
despair…

Thelma sped her car along the highway as she
trailed her father. She wore just a bum short
and pink crop top with bathroom slippers but
cared less about it. All she cared about at the
moment was to save Richard who had fought
for her in the forest when she was captured by
Tega and his men…

GENERAL HOSPITAL
:
Mr Davidson kept pacing to and fro the
hospital compound. He had arrived minutes
earlier and had sent the boys he’d called to go
inside and bring Richard and co. Out.
The hospital gate was always opened and so
some passerby could be seen trooping in one
after the other as the hospital compound was
filled with people who stood wondering why Mr
Davidson wanted Mr Richard, the hero dead to
the extent of coming by himself.
Just then, Richard emerged from the hospital’s
front door, followed closely by Tega who’s arm
was bleeding and five men who had their guns
pointed at him. He wondered what he had done
wrong and felt very scared for his wife and
Lucy whom he and Tega had hid inside the
hospital’s abandoned store room.


Immediately Mr Davidson set his eyes on him,
he moved quickly and stood before him.


“Wheres that b---h of a girl called Lucy?” he
asked the men while scanning their faces.

“We searched everywhere sir but she’s
nowhere to be found,” one of the men replied.

“D--n it!” Mr Davidson cursed and brought out
his gun from his pocket and pointed it at
Richard who stood staring at him fearlessly.

“Why are you implicating yourself?” Richard
asked as he looked around and smiled at the
eye witnesses that had crowded them.

“Provide her now or die inplace of her!” Mr
Davidson fired angrily and cocked the gun, then
placed the nossle directly on Richard’s
forehead.


Just then, Thelma’s car drove into the
compound and without killing the engine,
Thelma got out with her own gun and
advanced towards the father while holding the
gun in both hands. She had stopped on the
way to make sure her gun was well loaded
and that made her arrive a little late.


“I’m using a gun with shell not bullet dad, so
pleasee back off now and look for your target,”
Thelma said and stood beside her father, then
cocked her own gun and placed it on her
fathers upper head close to his left ear. One
could see Mr Davidson’s gun also pointed at
Richard.

“You can’t stop me dear daughter,” the father
said looking more determined.


Thelma looked furious, “Back off dad or I pull
the trigger!” she ordered authoritatively…
