Jemeji Season 1

Doris donates blood yet again.
Senami asks if she didn't take her blood already.
Doris says her finger hasn't been marked, which means it's her first time.
She goes straight to pick up a plastic bowl.


Neza walks up to Senami.
Senami tells him he can't donate blood as he still has TB.
He says he's now cured.
She says a deadly disease doesn't disappear like that.
He swears on the Bible that he has been cured.
She says when he's ready for a test, he can call her.

He helps drag the cooler of blood to the van.



Jide is talking to a reporter.
He says the blood drive was his brain child.
Senami rolls her eyes at him and walks away.


Folake returns to the Corpers' lodge tired.
Obi helps her massage her legs.
Folake says it feels so good.

Obi tells her to chill and let his royal highness take care of her.
Folake says she heard the villagers talking about him.
He asks what they said.
She says they were saying he can't marry outside of Aji.
He laughs nervously and she joins in.

He gets a phone call and says he will join the person soon.

Peace walks in and Obi leaves for his room.

Peace asks Folake if she has done what she said she would do about separating Oviyon and Senami.
Folake asks when she said that.
She stands up to leave the room, telling Peace to shut the door on her way out.


Senami is sitting behind the van where the coolers of blood have been loaded.
Kingsley joins her and invites her to come for a drink later.
Senami says she has to make sure the van gets to Wesere and she hands everything over.
He asks if it's her job.
One of the workers from the blood bank in Wesere, tells her that she doesn't have to come with them, though his superiors would like to meet her.

Oviyon walks up to them.
He looks at Kingsley and says 'You again, you seem to have a lot of time on your hands.'
Senami says Kingsley just came to make sure everything is sorted.
Oviyon tells Kingsley that it seems they can't keep him away now that he's back on his feet.
Kingsley ignores him.
He congratulates Senami and gives her a peck on the cheek, then tells her to let him know if she has any trouble with the blood bank.
He leaves.

Oviyon says Senami shouldn't tell him she's going to Wesere.
Senami says she has to.

Dr Jide tells her to make sure everything is accounted for before she signs off.

Senami complains to Oviyon that Jide did nothing but claims the blood drive was his brain child.
Oviyon tells her she doesn't have to go to Wesere because they have a lot to talk about.

Senami goes to Jide to ask what she needs to do.

She returns to tell Oviyon that Jide said she doesn't have to go to Wesere if she makes sure everything is accounted for.
Oviyon is glad.


Peace comes to see Oviyon's mother at home, crying and complaining about Folake.
Oviyon's mother assures her that she saw Mausi and Mausi said something big will happen and after tonight, they will no longer fear Iya Minasu in Aji.
Peace looks terrified.


At night, Senami and Oviyon are by the river.
She says she hopes they won't get into the canoe.
He asks if she's scared of crocodiles.
She says more like mammy water.
He says he thought she didn't believe in such
She says Aji has a way of changing people's minds.
He seems surprised.
She says she was only joking but she's learning to see things differently.
He asks how.
She says she's learning the power of communication and even today, so many people came to donate blood, same ones who used to call her grandmother a witch.
She says she wishes her grandmother came.
He says with time.
She says she hopes it's before her service is over.
He asks if she has thought about what she would do after her service.
She says she's sure he didn't bring her all the way to ask her that.
He moves closer and holds her by the waist.
She asks about Peace.
He says they are done.
They kiss on the lips.

He leads her into the canoe.
She helps him take off his shirt.


Petunia is with Fonton go to the village palm wine joint.
She tells him that she would go and talk to her people.
He says he would do the same with his people.
She reminds him that he's not there to drink.

She goes to the women and says Mausi is upset that they gave Iya Minasu's child their blood and something terrible will happen.

They get sacred.
One of the women asks if they are even sure Iya Minasu is a witch since Miyise is back.
Petu says if they don't believe her they can ask Oviyon's mother.
The women ask what Oviyon's mother has to do with the matter.
Petu says they took Oviyon's mother's blood while she was asleep and she fainted.
She says people will begin to fall.

They hear a scream.
A woman runs towards them then falls on the ground crying.

Not too far off, they see Doris passed out on the ground.
Everyone gathers around her.


Otogan is taking a walk with Obi in the forest.
Obi thanks him for supporting the blood drive even though people could have gone against him.
Otogan says Obi has to learn that they are leading Aji by doing the right thing even when the people don't see it.
He says the parents who raised Obi did a good job and he would like to meet them; Obi too should meet his brother and sister.
Obi says he can't imagine having such a large family.
Otogan says family is everything and once they have done everything, Obi will take over.
Obi asks what he means.
He looks around and asks where they are.
Otogan ushers him to walk forward.


Oviyon and Senami are done.
She lays on his chest in the canoe, naked but with Oviyon's shirt covering her chest.
He kisses her again then says his mother was right; the first time he held Senami's hand, he felt something even though they were kids.
He asks if she also felt it.
She nods.
He says in spite of all the things that have happened, they still find themselves in Aji which means something bigger is pulling them together.

He kisses her again.


Fonton, Petunia and two of Fonton's friends go to look for Otogan at his palace.
They are told that he isn't there and wouldn't be returning till tomorrow.

Fonton tells Petunia to go home.

He and his friends go to the Corpers' lodge.
They meet Folake who tells them that Senami isn't back.

They read some meaning into Senami's absence.
Fonton tells Folake to make she sure she informs them as soon as Senami returns.

When they leave, Folake calls Senami on the phone.


Senami is still in the canoe with Oviyon.
She doesn't answer her phone when it rings.

They hear people calling for doctor George.
Senami panics and tells Oviyon she is not dressed.

Neza and some men of Aji come to the canoe, holding up lanterns.
Senami almost dies of embarrassment.


Senami is now wearing Oviyon's clothes.
He's in shorts and a singlet.
She gets a call from Folake.
She tells Folake that she's fine.

Neza and the villagers inform her about Doris.
She tells them that Doris might have had a medical condition before she donated blood which may have caused her to faint.
She asks why they didn't take her to the hospital.

She gets a phone call from the medical personell who transported the blood to the blood bank in Wesere.
He says they were caught up in traffic and by the time they got to the blood bank, they discovered the coolers were empty and all the blood is missing.
