WEDDING DAY

The D-day came, everybody was going from left to right trying to put everything in order. Kola is so romantic I will keep saying that, you should have been at the tradition wedding, he made a decoration “I HAVE FOUND MY MISSING RIP”

Anybody that saw it will laugh and say “this guy is really in love”

The traditional wedding took place in my village, I had the opportunity to meet my uncles children that were away.

The next day was our wedding, so there was no need sleeping in kola’s room, his baby sis and I slept in her room, actually my mother in-law had insist she stays with me but the reason was what I didn’t know and I didn’t care to ask.

On the day of our wedding something happened. Kola and I was about to take our vows when kola suddenly look shocked, I wonder what happened so I look at the direction he faced yet I didn’t understand what’s happening.

RITA
Baby, are you ok? You suddenly look pale.

KOLA
That’s Becky over there, who invited her?

RITA
Common baby, you know rumors travel fast than hamatta.

KOLA
But she’s not welcome here, she had to leave. (he tried to walk away but I held his arm)

RITA
Let is go, you going there will only mean one thing and that’s her presence still has effect on you.

He stare at me for a while, then a tears dropped from his eyes.

KOLA
A thousand of her can not replace you in my heart.

RITA
She’s your past now, and I’m your present and future so forget her and let’s take our vows.

He chuckle and faced me again. We took our vow, and the pastor ask him to kiss his bride I could swear the kiss was to make Becky knows she’s a looser because kola kissed me like it was never going to end.

At the reception people came from left and right, hugging us before handling their gift to us, Becky came forward to hug me but kola pushed her away

KOLA
Don’t you dare touch my wife, with your evil hands

RITA
Common kola, it’s just a hug. (I hugged her)

BECKY
My evil hands? Alright no problem. (she walks away)

I turn to face kola, I told him I didn’t like the way he embarrassed the girl, if it was other girls they would come to make trouble but she came in peace (or so I thought) he felt remorseful and ran after her to apologize but Becky has already left. We got tired from the excess dance and hugs so we retired home but to my surprise my father in-law called us to drive down to his mansion kola was angry.
