Mrs Williams was driving towards the gate when she sighted Phillip about to open his car, she quickly stop her car and called out to Phillip, Phillip turned to see who was calling him and was surprised and glad to see mrs Williams, he went to meet her.

PHILLIP
(Smile)
Good afternoon ma’am

MRS WILLIAMS
(Smile)
Good afternoon, how are you.

PHILLIP
Am fine ma’am

MRS WILLIAMS
Have not been seeing you for a while now hope everything is fine.

PHILLIP
Yes ma’am, everything is fine

MRS WILLIAMS
Ok good, and your parents

PHILLIP
They are all fine

MRS WILLIAMS
Ok, are you just leaving

PHILLIP
No, came to see Natasha

Phillip had to lie because she wouldn’t want mrs Williams to know anything without he finding out the problem first.

MRS WILLIAMS
But I have told you to always park inside when he come.

PHILLIP
Yea I know ma’am, I wasn’t going to stay long.

MRS WILLIAMS
That doesn’t matter, now let’s go inside, drive behind me.

PHILLIP
Alright ma’am, thank you
Phillip immediately went back to his car while mrs Williams roll up her glass, Phillip was excited and thanking God for answering his prayer, he entered his car and drove behind mrs Williams, they both park their cars and step down and walked inside, on getting to the sitting room they saw Natasha sitting on one of the sofa, Natasha got up and hugged her mum without even noticing Phillip.

MRS WILLIAMS
Guess who I found outside
She gives way for Natasha so she can see Phillip clearly, Natasha froze at the sight of Phillip who was looking straight to her eyes with a motionless face, mrs Williams observes the tension between them.

MRS WILLIAMS
Is everything alright

Natasha quickly force out a smile, wouldn’t want her mum to know about anything.

NATASHA
Yes mum, he traveled and didn’t tell me he was coming back, I am just surprise

PHILLIP
Yes ma’am

MRS WILLIAMS
Okey then I will leave you too.

She tap Phillip on his shoulder and ascended the stair, they both waited for her to be out of sight, immediately she was out of sight, the smile they were trying to show dies down.

PHILLIP
Natasha, what’s going on.

Natasha was so confused, she wasn’t ready to comfort him now.

PHILLIP
Am talking to you

He was trying to be calm.

NATASHA
You shouldn’t have come

PHILLIP
(Confused)
What’s the meaning of that, what’s happening, did I do something wrong, please let me know and I will make up for it.

NATASHA
(Sign)
You haven’t done anything, I just need some time on my own, I need time to do things.

PHILLIP
Things like what

NATASHA
Personal things

PHILLIP
Oh we now keep secret, you see what am talking about.

NATASHA
Would you just stop

PHILLIP
(Upset)
Stop what, you stopped picking my calls, you don’t reply my messages, and you went as far as to tell the security to refuse me entering, come on Natasha, do I really deserve that.
There was pain in his voice and Natasha could feel it, she hates making him feel that way, he has done a lot for her and it unfair to treat him like that but yet her conscience can’t allow her to be close to him at that time.

NATASHA
You should leave.
She walked pass him

PHILLIP
Is there someone else
This brought her to a stop, she turned looking shock.

PHILLIP
Don’t look at me like that, it’s a question.
Natasha wanted to fight against what he said but stop herself, maybe this was the opportunity she was waiting for, it was going to hurt her and him but that is for the better.

NATASHA
Yes there is someone else.
Phillip was frozen, the word hit him so badly, shock, confusion, betrayal,and hurt was all he could feel.

NATASHA
And I have grown to like him alot
Phillip try to speak but the words can’t come out.

NATASHA
So give it a rest.

There was something in her eyes that didn’t match up with the words she was saying, just then Phillip knew she was lying.

PHILLIP
(Chuckle)
If you want to push me away you have to try more harder than that, you are lying and I wonder what ever you are keeping from me that you have to lie.

NATASHA
Am not lying

PHILLIP
Do you want me to hate you
Natasha heart drop, in as much as she wants him to leave, she doesn’t mean she was to make him her enemy.

PHILLIP
If not, don’t even break my heart with such words again, you need space to sort out whatever you need to do and I will, just don’t let it be too long.

Natasha couldn’t say anything because there was nothing to say, she turned and ran upstairs, even Phillip was calling out to her but she didn’t answer, she ran straight to her room, Phillip stood there for a long time and decided to go back home but was bend on coming back another day, Natasha got to her room and cry her heart out, she has been holding her tear from falling because she don’t want Phillip to see her crying, she hates Nathaniel for making her to hurt Phillip, she didn’t know any other way to feel better but to cry more.

Nathaniel came back home the next day hoping to speak to Natasha, he had thought about what Michael said and decided to work towards it, he was welcomed home warmly by his parents but Natasha wasn’t home, he wasn’t sure if he was ready to see Natasha but he had no choice in this, he needs to make this work out the way Michael had told him.

He has been indoor since he came, so he decided to go out to receive some fresh air, he walk around the house to fill his eyes a little, he got to the garden and found Natasha there with a tray of fruit juice and a novel in her hands, she was sitting in a wooden chair.

Natasha came back few hours ago but she didn’t know that Nathaniel was around because her parents wasn’t around to tell her, she came out to have some quiet time to herself, Nathaniel stare at Natasha and wonder how beautiful she is, “what was he doing”, he quickly put away the stupid thoughts, composed himself and walk to Natasha.

NATHANIEL
Hey

Natasha raise her head to see Nathaniel standing in front of her, she has thought she was hearing things when she first heard his voice but she heard right, she wouldn’t tell how she feels that moment but she was so angry.

NATASHA
(Shouting)
What are you doing here

NATHANIEL
(Exhale)
Natasha please you have to hear me out, I beg you.

NATASHA
Hear you out, to tell me what, to tell me how you took advantage of me.

NATHANIEL
Natasha please, it not how you see it, I messed up but please just hear me out.

Natasha tool the glass of fruit and pour it on his face, and got to her feet.

NATASHA
You are very stupid, I wonder how you are doing this, after what you did, you come hear to tell me you messed up, isn’t it.
Nathaniel didn’t clean the drink from his face he quickly got on his knee

NATHANIEL
(Crying)
Please, am sorry, am really sorry, Natasha
Natasha got furious and slap him hard.

NATASHA
Don’t you ever in your miserable life call my name ever again.

NATHANIEL
Am sorry please, am so sorry

NATASHA
You are not sorry yet, I will make you sorry Nath, I will make sure you regret every bit of it.

NATHANIEL
Just forgive me please

NATASHA
You don’t deserve forgiveness, you deserve to suffer, and you will get pain at right time, I will continue to hate you for the rest of my life.
She took her book and left in anger, Nathaniel knew she meant every words she said but that wasn’t his problem, he just needs her forgiveness even if that will be the only thing he gets before he dies.
